    I love to stick with clear bulbs for the tree- what’s your preference?

    This tutorial saved my rapidly fading sanity. After fighting with tangled strands and putting the lights on the tree and then pulling them off about five times I decided I needed to take a breather and turn to RUclips. This method was so simple and will be simple to take off as well. One thing I would suggest is plug the lights in and just start from the bottom so you can better see where you’re placing them. Seriously, without this I would have continued calling my tree names that shouldn’t be said combined with the word Christmas and in the end thrown the lights on the tree in frustration.

      I'm so glad I'm not the only one!. I haven't set it out loud,.. but I've been THINKING not nice things about my tree for days.
      This was such a great help!!

    This method makes the tree look fuller and the lights more evenly distributed than using the old wrap around method. Great video!

    I've celebrated 2 decades of Christmases since moving out from my mother's home where I first learned to string a tree as a child. And let me just tell you this..., I am completely relieved at finally being liberated from that experience and yet unbelievably exhausted at the thought of how much aggravation, dread and time lost i spent doing it the wrong way. Not just the wrong way but the most difficult/ time consuming and stressful way imaginable !!
    Thank you so sincerely for sharing this video to us misguided tree-stringers and liberating us from decades more of that joy-robbing task of lighting our homes with warmth and decadence. You are a hero as far as I'm concerned. Im curious as to what more helpful life hacks you have up your sleeve so I'm definitely subscribing to see what else you have to share. Again, thank you.
    Merry Christmas and may your upcoming year be blessed with empowerment, productivity and abound in health and serenity.

    I’m not one to like flickering/blinking lights BUT the way you mixed it in there looks amazing!! It makes the tree look like it’s sparkling. I love it!!

  • @jigdancer56

    I'm going to do this - it has to be easier than the 'round the tree' method. I've lost count of the times I get lights on and realize I either can't plug them in or can't plug in my star and then have to re-do them all! I love multi-colored lights, and even have some bubble lights that I keep at eye height so they're most noticeable. Merry Christmas from Canada!

    Greetings- a few things 1- where did you buy your twinkle/blinking lights? I see where the video is a few years older so maybe the store you used no longer Carrie’s them but thought I would check. 2- do you have a video on how to decorate the tree- bulb/ornament placements etc? Thanks again for sharing!

    I like to plug my lights in as I'm running the strands, I've had half a string go out. This way, there are no surprises when finished.

  • @susanmurphree6604
    @susanmurphree6604 5 лет назад

    after the first strand are you plugging the next set at the top where you left the end of the plug?

    • @MyChangedLIFE
      @MyChangedLIFE  5 лет назад

      susan murphree yes, which makes them all interconnected. But be sure to start with the “female” part, leaving it close to the top of the tree... Incase you use a topper that requires an outlet.

    • @MyChangedLIFE

      Kinni wright that’s true... to be able to plug it in the outlet. Always start with the input socket, so that you’ll end with the output plug.

  • @FirstLast-rd6hw

    If the light cord wraps around the circumference of the tree, they are not vertical. Sorry. Looks good but misleading and false title.
