Correction - Indian iPhone variants also have Two active eSIMs or you can ise 1 nano-SIM wuth 1 eSIM.
And this isn't new. Even last year's Indian model supported eSim.

@@akshayaddy Hey, Yes. the problem was with the carrier (mine is JIO). They had some issue at backend that kept 5g diabled even though it said enabled in my mobile/app. Call the customer care. They manually had to change a setting at their end. 5g started working for me after that.

A phone with no carrier means you can’t call or using sim card it that phone . A normal phone is unlocked only
