I would definitely knit a swatch or two and then practice doing the i-cord bind off with this gadget. That way you can get comfortable with its use and be able to see on which side the i-cord looks best.
I myself start out with just the Cordy, make a few rows THEN start connecting to the edge to be bound off. When done you can go back and unravel the 2 or 3 rows, cinch and weave in.

Потрясающе!!!!Спасибо!!!
I’m about to begin a 950 stitch I cord bind off - on the wrong side. I wonder how crisp it will look on the reverse? That will be the side showing.
It will look the same, as icord is a continuous "tube" of 3 stitches. Front and back side will look the same, crisp and nice. 🙂

What is the beginning of this look like? How do you start out?

Do you need a different size for different size yarn? Thank you 😊
You can use worsted, DK, sock yarn, fingering - all will give you different results. I don't believe chunky yarn will work on it.
How do you start this? Is there another video to show casting on to the cords and casting off the cords?
I’m new to this, how do you start the icord bind off with this tool?

It’d be alright if you started from the start and expanded how to start casting off
