Thank you for watching my video!!! HGSS is a very special game to me (possibly my favorite of the series), so I'm happy I could make a video dedicated to such an important part of my childhood. I've never drawn any Pokemon before, so I'm sorry if any of them look weird T_T it was a lot of fun to try something new, so I'll keep at it!
I love this! Gold and silver was my first pokemon game and I probably went through it atleast 50 times because I was poor and had no other games. When I played soulsilver it was hands down the best game they ever released to me. This video makes me feel so nostalgic!!
I'm happy I was able to bring back some good memories! The Johto region really is something special with how mystical it feels and the way it pretty seamlessly adds on to the original Kanto story. A few others in the comments also said they grew up on Gold/Silver and not the remakes and it's making me want to give the originals a try for myself haha. Thank you for watching!!!!

@@ephiepenI told myself I would never go back to playing Pokemon games cuz I've been disappointed too many times by the newer games BUT if they ever do Johto or another Gold/Silver remake again I'm absolutely going to play it.
This whole thing made me smile the whole way through 🥲. The original Gold/Silver were my favorite Pokemon games and I spent so much time with them as a little kid so I have nostalgic memories embedded with a lot of the scenes/soundtracks you showed here. Sigh, a time when life was so much simpler and I didnt have a lot on my plate. Thanks for walking me down memory lane with this awesome edit 😊. It comes at a time when lately my friends have been helping me re-acquire back important old memories to help me heal from some things.

Crazy good animation! Your art really fits the homely feel of the games and the animation is just done so well while still being faithful to the original. I'm so glad I got recommended this and it deserves wayyyy more views.... Also the way you drew Silver was awesome and i love how it captures his like ego, same with the sequence with lance and dragonite, they were captured so well. The running sections also reminded me of a Vocaloid PV which was cool! Overall great job and i look forward to seeing more!
Thank you so much!! I'm really glad I could do the original vibe justice, especially since I didn't do pixel art like in the original (and man is the pixel art always so good in Pokemon games). Silver's one of my favorite characters from Pokemon so I'm so happy to hear I was able to do him justice too. I find him so interesting and he was fun to draw! Same for Lance too lol... he wasn't in the original opening and I thought it'd be a shame to not get to draw someone so iconic.
Thank you Bart!!!!! lol it was and wasn't, they all mostly gave me some trouble. My least favorite to draw was unfortunately Lugia and my favorite to draw was Espeon. Suicune was challenging but fun too!
Brilliant remake/animation, @ephiepen ! :D Man... this just brings back memories of when I did a charity playthrough of Pokémon HeartGold in 2018. ^^ And man.. I did it in large part for of me raising money to finally get my very own Nintendo Switch :3

The tension build up was great, idk pokemon lore so idk what happened at the end but it seems super important

I never played heart gold or silver, but because i played the original one, its enough to give me nostalgic goosebumps
