I used this card in 2017 together with a Phenom X6 processor.
It ran Fallout 4, Metro Last Light redux and Doom really fine.
I didnt expect it to be that good and i was kinda surprised. Defenitely a fine wine card.
I was using liquid metal for the first time on this MSI 280x and it was running really cool despite high overclock.

LM did not ended up ok with me. even o copper its behaving strange. I used it on HD 7990 and it didn`t do the job. i mean if you use it or don`t use its expiring. with thermal paste if you don`t use it, it retains the liquid state until you thermal stress the card and starts to evaporate.
On the AMX X4 i have my old HP COMPAQ 6005 PRO and i want to bring it in :D

Always liked these cards. I have the 270x iceq which runs cooler & uses less power but its only 2gb. Thanks for showing this card

My 6650xt died but I dont have a lot of budget to buy a decent gpu so I bought this gpu in my local market for 25 dollars so I think it gona really do the job while I save up some money

That's a great idea! Sometimes, finding a budget-friendly GPU can be a lifesaver. What games you run on it?

such an effort from your side & such enjoyable/useful retro-content ,yet still your subs can't pass 5k.
    i can't understand that , 🤨it's soooo weird ( it's like somehow you are ...stuck at 4,78K !! )

Not sure why people liked these, crazy high power draw with no performance behind it. These are only good if you forget nvidia exists. Had a r9 290 reference model gifted to me a few years back, and normally i like to collect gpus but it ran at 95 c while making a load of noice and still only performing like a gtx 780 ti so i sold it on. These are just completely useless and make no sense at all in my eyes. The r9 290 was insultingly bad. The r9 280x is a bit of the same. Performing like a gtx 680 or 1050 ti while drawing an insane amount of power, for what it does.

this is what i got in the first hour preparing the PC. 85c
The first thing i did was unlock the voltage control and star seeing if i can do this by jumping voltage category and it worker at 4th jump keeping the card at 74c.
No performance issues. core had the same Hz and the temp was on check. one thing i notice on those cards the metal from the radiator was not glass flat. it looked grinded and unfinish. something that i think its influencing the thermal transfer.
The cards are stupid cheap and you can find one that was not stress to much i think its ok with next to nothing money.

i know i asked this question before but
i want a cpu to run gta 6 with 60 fps
i have 100 - 120 for the cpu and i'm worry because i will use the cpu for 5 years and about the ram i will use ddr4 because ddr5 are so expensive

this is a very strange topic to touch. i think that we need to take a look on GTA V.
What system was the best when GTA V came out. How many years later it took or how many generations of CPUs and GPUs has passed until a single GPU or CPU could handle GTA V at max with 60 FPS after launch?
if you ask me i will say get what you can now and in 2 years after you play GTA VI you will upgrade to the best PC. even then you will have to upgrade in 2-4 years again if you want the best.
      i think my i9 10900k will be barely 60 fps compatible :D
RTX 3080 or 2080 ti will hold maybe on low to medium details 60 fps. 1080p OFC.
