UPDATE: there was a typo in the patch notes. The Smoke Room Door will now have a locked gate that leads to it. It will not be electrified nor connected to the generator. Big difference!

Ahem, max proficiency Connie with ability, even worse without cook. I think they should have just added a electric grid behind it that way you actually have to use something your supposed to use and have to on other maps. It doesn’t even give an audio queue when they open the smoke room so it’s just a free escape.

If you have a regular friend group you play with, it’s worth it still because you can take turns so I’m excited for that. Otherwise, I can see why people would want to wait.
Ability cooldown is my main issue. That doesn’t solve the issue in the slightest. Its a punish the whole class for what the bad kid did scenario. When there’s an achievement that is to literally get a kill within 30sec this change just sounds silly cause it doesn’t slowdown door progression it just makes us more vulnerable to an early kill.
i thinks thats sort of the point, this change directly affects every victim in a different way, leiland can no longer get out of jail free with leatherface, and flat out MUST avoid him or get gonked, ana while she couldn't simply stun leatherface, now ALSO must avoid him initially and be stealthy, as getting spotted means shes just as vulnerable as all other victims until her abilty comes off cooldown, she doesn't have her OH SHI- i got caught and am about to be chopped apart ability button these two are the most affected, and the biggest "nonstealthy" characters, and primairly because even if there found early, they dont really care as they have a easy escape or survival method, now they dont, and MUST respect that or die very quickly, for connie, she had a get out of basement instantly ability, this ... doesn't affect whatsoever how you can get out of the basement normally but she cant just instant pick a door then immediately just hide till her debuffs are off anymore,at least not from from the very moment she finds a lockpicking tool, which can sometimes be legitmently beside her or on her path to a exit door, she needs to spend at least some time picking it, leaveing her potentially vulnerable, ultimately a fairly small overall effect but a incentivization towards being stealthy, for julie, this removes her early game infinate stamina with her ability, and if cook is level three and spotting for leatherface in the basement, julie doesent have her counter to that right off the bat, meaning again, she needs to be a bit more stealthy untill it comes off cooldown, both because she might get caught out by leatherface if she burns 2 much stamina, but also because cook and presumibly? nancy can catch her out with there ability sonny, argueibly the only one that did not need this ability cooldown nerf to incentivise being stealth, sonny uses his ability primarily to know where family members are,or are NOT and to move to avoid them, or know when its safe to move quickly, him lacking access to this for a full min **severely** limits his entire advantage as victim early on, he is legitmently just worst then the others untill his ability is back up and able to be used to scout for family, but lacking the ability early means you DO need to work at being stealthy without your sonar letting you know where leatherface is pretty much 24-7 all in all, a definate game changer for the very start of each match, going loud for most people is now much more risky because you simply lack your ability to save you if you get caught out by leatherface,

Did they ever fix the overlooked perk? The one that lets you avoid grandpa's sonar ability and the perk that lets you see Family Members when Grandpa does his sonar
I personally think what caused the issue to the second perk you're referring to was the stupid grampa cut scene so I believe with the elimination of it they should work again but let's see tomorrow
it dident need to be fixed, it needed its information updated and clarifyed though, the way the perk works is it has charges, when grandpa detects you, it instantly burns a charge, which lasts about 1 sec, while it lasts, gramps doesent reveal you, the moment the buff wears off, it instantly burns another charge, meaning if you dont stop moveing like normal, a single scream can eat every one of your charges, and if you even tap a key and get revealed for a micro-second it will eat a charge, even if you dident actually move, just shifted, similarly, it doesent let you avoid grandpas sonar, it lets you make that last ditch rush into cover without his scream revealing you, or being forced to sit in a really bad open area, its NOWHERE near as good as everybody thinks it is, because its effect is flat out not what people think it is, but it DOES work correctly, its just bad is all as for the perk to see family when he roars, no clue, wasint aware that one was bugged

If I’m actually talking to the other victims and we’re all on the same page it’s cake work every time same for family side of things. This game was meant for the family and victims to work as teams against each other not solo and just hope for the best and the game is bad because my teammates won’t talk to me.. 😢 no not at all but no one wants to work as a team with people or even try to stealth anything because it’s “more exciting and more fun to rush” you know how many comments I see of people crying about not escaping in two minutes every match?? Everyone has something wrong with something instead of enjoying the experience you get. Most of you complain about them charging for the DLC characters but most also don’t sit and think XBOX GOT THE GAME FOR FREE!! PS paid for the game if anything XBOX should be just fine with paying for a character if they want them they only saved 40$ not having to buy the game or pay for a subscription to play online after the fact😂
I’ll play Leatherface since I can get 2-3 kills 95% of my games with him. He is OP when you master him and his hitbox, map layouts and have an understanding of inside the minds of victims. The pressure of a Sprinting and patrolling Bubba will never get old. If you use Scout on him he is just a killing machine.
I think the only thing they previously changed with the Nicotero saw was it had the default sound when cutting things down. Now it has custom saw sounds
So people bitched on and on about removing leatherface to be required to start. I honestly can't wait to see how upset they'll be when they're getting juked around barricades over and over and over again with no way of destroying them. That one blew up in your faces, didn't it? 😆
I’m super excited about forcing people to be more stealthy, I tend to sneak around even while playing as Ana, and I roll my eyes at the idiots who pound the search key only to pre-maturely alert grandpa. Also happy they removed the Grandpa cut scenes, considering I got killed by Leatherface immediately after it just the other day, couldn’t see my screen. I hope they have basic glitch fixes, I got Leland in the gas station ‘house’ hall near where Grandpa spawns as Leather, and I glitched into the wall so bad I was trapped between the pipes, had to disconnect from the game 😒. Also think optional Leatherface is a good idea, it will help keep family players from leaving Lobby’s if they are stuck playing as Leather. Also I think I’ll love playing Nancy, but Johnny and Hitchhiker are my favorite. Even with the changes making him weaker I’m still a Johnny player.
I don’t know why so many people complained about smokehouse door most games I’ve seen on gas station your going against LF,HH,Cook you have to use 2 lock picks just to get to the door and 75% of the time cook players are camping the 2 padlock gates

@@xempathExactly they made Johnny dogshit atp, No Leatherface definitely changes the balance of matches if no one wants to play him, not being able to fuckin run and detect as cook sucks but that is suppose to be how he's played a snitch and a playmaker. I have seen some fairness and the ability now does not be detected as easily with crouching.
Only thing i can complain about is the Nicotero leatherface Chainsaw sounds is louder now.. that was the unique thing with that saw the amount of sound it did...

If victim abilities can’t be used for 60 seconds then I don’t think leatherface should be able to rev for 60 seconds, Johnny can’t track for 60 seconds and the cook shouldn’t be able to listen for 60 seconds

They need to add another door to leave the main house. Cook puts the three locks and hitchhiker his traps and that’s it. If you have like new players or even bad players, you ain’t leaving the main house at all. Since Cook just sits and listens and that’s it. They also need to make the fuse box last a little longer when turned on, as soon as you get down to the door from across the map, they turn it off. Sometimes, there’s no point on doing the fuse box when across the map from the exit. Everyone of the family’s abilities should have the same cooldown like the victims. So they can only use it once as well, until the cooldown resets again. Every update so far has favored the family a lot more, and people bitch a lot about the victims but won’t say 💩 about the family advantage.
I don't like the noise outline being affected by door slams. The whole point of door slams is to stun the family member and run away, but if the family member can still see your outline while the pick themselves up, it defeats the whole purpose of trying to reset after a door slam stun
You're supposed to run not constantly door slam you idiot. You guys wanna tease family too much and feel you shouldn't get punished for trolling is crazy Luckily a lot of players I play with know about door slams so it's not as common to see people get hit with it.

Slaughterhouse was my fave map to play as a victim (cant lie). Now its about to be more careful work. The problem is if all 3 family memebrs start camping.
@angelmartin-picot1294 With the valve containers moving upstairs and two of those mid doors being on the same side as the pressure valve gate the family can easily cover enough ground a piece to camp the remaining 2 with good communication in my opinion. I'm not complaining but I know it will be more challenging.

The game quickly, and for the longest time, became so easy for victims. I slowly stopped playing because most matches will end fast and survivors know the things to exploit. Playing killer became a chore, especially in solo queue. Asymmetrical games usually have the killers be the easiest side, but this game was a whole other level of working for kills. I even stopped playing survivor entirely because it was too easy. Once you get certain builds, you can have an easy 80% or more escape rate. I like these changes and they are truly going to balance most of the escape routes. Maybe I will feel more likely to hop on and play. That’s not even because of the new map and characters.
Does anyone else think that the fusebox can be closed too fast? Even if you know the map, use the most optimized route, and run straight to the exit, you still might not make it out.
It depends on the map and where you are as a victim, it’s not going to close fast if you’re already in the basement. It’s not going to close fast if you know a fast route and you’re running choose flight. It’s not going to close fast if there is no family waiting to turn off the basement. It’s all different scenarios
Also like the guy mentioned most people don't even turn the shit off. I stop trying to turn it off if they have that perk that you have to wait a whole minute to turn it off.
Yes it does close too fast. You can tell bacause if youre the last person alive you wont make it in time if some family member just turns it right back off. Cooldown needs to be 45 seconds to make sure you can actually make it in time even if theyre camping the fusebox.
I don't understand the crouch walking to counter Cook patch. That's literally already a thing. They even said that in their Livestream which made me assume they just mispoke but I guess not. I thought they meant you'd be able to fast crouch walk and not be heard by Cook.
I disagree about the outside fusebox it’s hard to complete especially since more likely than not when the fusebox is outside grandpa is right beside it so it’s rare that victims can complete it when it’s right there so if anything it’d be a huge help to victims if they got rid of that spawn location in my opinion
It's just a bit harder to monitor the valve and the fusebox when it's in that location. If it's out there and someone is camping it, counter that just by pushing valve.

Man, I started playing when this came out with beliefs that the "fear" element would exist and that surviving would be a HUGE achievement (as is real horror). The dash to exit, teaming up on family, infinite stuns, or rushing for valves was running the game. It's at the point where people are declaring "I'm a family main" and "I'm a victim main." It's a horror game, and both sides should be used with very different experiences. Victims should be hidden and sought while experiencing intense fear (the sound of leatherfaces chainsaw and movement should be frightening). Not slugging killers with 0 fear of consequences or staying at exit gates. I am happy about these changes. I think there should be an increased timer for lelands stun ability. He uses it once and is delayed for 5 minutes. It should be a get out of jail card. It's not intended for a stun lock. For doors. They get slammed once, and they break. It should also highlight the player that slammed it. Another is Connies ability to remove 2 breaks from the lock. She is still required to lockpick it, but she can skip it a bit. This will change spam and get the game played seriously.
There are a few very vocal people online that are upset the maps aren’t changing without leatherface and how unfair and unfun it is with the barricades not being removed. It’s funny.
I will continue to dodge lobbies with level 99 people. The games I play as victims in which there is no LF will be the best. I will also avoid lobbies until I play with Nancy and Danny boy. Thank you Gun, for existing 💟

i like the emphasis on stealth okay like it was intended but playing stealthy after the 10th game in a row will get repetitive for some players, so being noisy or rushing adds that bit of excitement and different play style which they are trying to prevent
I really don't get why people don'y play Leatherface, he is definitely one of the scariest family members, and he can make the game real scary for victim players, it's good that they offer the option to not requite him to start the game, people will soon know how important he is to the game.
Kinda glad he's not required. They made the retard run way too fast outruuning Julie stamina perk which makes zero sense. And they need to take that cheap one shot bs out of the game too.
hopefully they fix the lobbies too. ive noticed alot of my lobbies wont find people to fill as family. The match making will find someone for the lobby but when someone leaves no one joins for the rest of the time. Only applies to family from my experiences.
I hope they'll remove barricades eventually so people can *actually* play who they want Without barricades LF would still be pretty useful (permanently removing crawlspaces/doors, big damage, fast, practically infinite stamina) but you're not a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest without him. Which is exactly what I want for every character; useful but not mandatory. Keeping barricades means he's pretty much as forced as he was before Even with LF around I would still want barricades gone because they are a huge early game time waster, at a time where you can't afford to be wasting time. They are a huge impediment to your teammates until you visit that part of the map, except some of them are so out of the way that if you decide to go there you are wasting a whole minute to break one thing. But if you don't break it it's an infinite. It's a lose-lose (I know there are crawlspaces but those have more ways to counter by other family members). I would really rather just get rid of them. It's not like there aren't enough crawlspaces, doors, and gaps for the victims to use anyways. It seems like they want to hold on to the idea of LF being in every match despite the overwhelming complaints, but I think this change would be for the best And I know someone is going to say "just play LF bruhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!1111!" right back at ya buckaroo. Also I do play him, a lot, that's why I hate him, I want to play someone else. I hate having to break shit for 2 minutes every game, I hate having to constantly juggle my chainsaw rev, I hate spawning alone in the infinite-riddled basement where you get bullied, I hate having longer feeding/searching animations, I hate being the worst grandpa feeder, I hate not having a real power besides revving a chainsaw, I have having no good/cool unique perks besides a slightly better version of serrated, I hate having to listen to that grating, ear splitting chainsaw that gives me a headache. Have I made my point? There's 4 (or 5) other characters in the game, being able to play them would be nice. I don't like having to play 1/5 (or 1/6) of the roster 9/10 of the time. I will gladly play with no LF, maybe that will cause enough barricade complaints for them to be removed
i think all of these changes are good except for the sliding door on slaughterhouse being able to be padlocked . i feel that is tipping slaughterhouse to be family favored but we will see how that works tomorrow

the nicotero saw volume was not changed in a different patch. as of right now the night before the update, nicotero saw is pay 2 win chainsaw bc its such a low volume.
Leatherface is only needed because they choose to have him as the only one who can break barricades. Like barricades are technically set up by the family. It doesn’t make sense that they’re all over the place and other family members can’t navigate around them.
But again the survivors need some chance to escape if they put in navigations around the barricades then it be difficult for survivors to try escape a chase that is also why they are there to help survivors escape
Yes but barricades aren’t the ultimate saving Grace. They have the ability to be destroyed already. There would be no harm in giving Johnny the ability to destroy them too, hell, Cook could destroy them or at least push them out of the way, just make it take longer than if leatherfsce did it. They already have vents and cracks and latches. In family house, the fuse box can become inaccessible to anyone who isn’t sissy or hitch. if the barricade is placed in the middle of the hallway or by the second floor window. Even then, they have to take a long way around, which can allow the survivor to finish powering the fuse box.
House is geared for killers and so is gas station and now they making it so slaughterhouse easier for them. I always play stealthy for the most part. With them making so you can't use your abilities and the slow characters take longer getting tools and bone shards then leatherface shouldn't be able to run with saw over his head for that time period that they can't use their abilities. Funny how on house if the generator is out back the killers can watch both that and battery but don't change that but bring the tank upstairs. I just hope they remove the grapple issue where other killers can kill you while grappling, they should have to wait. They needed to make better maps and to be honest one map is good no doubt but 2 would have been great and i would have payed for them but paying that much for characters is some bullshit. You should just be able to drop shit from your inventory also how hard would that be. Move the stuff away from cracks so your not grabbing health or bone shards. Hoping its more balanced we shall see.
I'd argue that Gas Station is pretty balanced. It takes one gate popping open to flip the balance heavily in favor of victims. You just need a competent Connie.
victims win those grapples 99 percent of the time. that’s what needs changed. the insta kill is the risk you take. you’re supposed to be avoiding the family. not dancing with them.
House is only family sided with Hiker and a Cook. As soon as you miss one of them its balanced if you miss both it becomes victim sided because Johnny and Sissy lack any form of area control or slow down. Why you think most people leave when they see johnny or sissy or both…
@@bradluckcharm So you are not suppose to protect yourself when they already know all the hide spots and will no doubt camp the spots that are open. Its not dancing its grappling and it should be shorter then wtf is with pulling on the ears. Usually i try to draw said family member away from other family members but i still think they should only get a shot at you after the grapple event. Its simple just make it so there is a stamina cost for grappling with family member since ya victim wins the grapple almost every time. The problem is they don't try thinking outside the box.
As a family main I feel the noise following victims might be too op but we'll see. Idk if I seen anything about them investigating exterior alarms or nobody escapes hell being too strong as it's really the only 2 perks I ever run.
I wonder when their going to fix the connection timing out during a match when i kill people as leatherface and it didn't count . and I don't get the kill because it sends me back into the main menu.
Devs really need to put their pride aside when it comes to removing the mandatory Leather Face. I don’t see why they don’t just make it so where everyone can push over and destroy the barbed barriers, instead of making another obstacle for the gameplay loop.
The new mechanic where your Aura gets broadcasted whenever you make noise now is very douchey. Basement rushing in particular is gonna be even more ridiculous. And we could already counter Cook's ability with crouching so why are they saying they are adding that? These Devs are making me very weary about this game with almost every single patch.
@@SlashNCast When the Family all rush to the basement and everyone is being chased right off the bat? Hitting noisemakers, frantically opening the grates, etc? With the Aura mechanic, basement rushing is going to be even more chaotic and ridiculous.
Especially when a Victim only opens one Door (Connie usually) and the rest of the team is getting hounded left and right in the basement. Yeah this mechanic is totally not going to make this game even more unfun and toxic for sure.

Because solo queue is vastly different, there are multiple times where I literally just get out of the rope binding and Grandpa gets triggered from the other players. And aside from basement rushing, this will affect Chases severely. Do you cut down every noisemaker, do you open all the grates before hand? Add a Cook to the team and the Victims will be in Radar Mode 24/7. I don't think people truly understand how suffocating this mechanic is going to be and how unfun it will make the game. Everything else in the patch seems gucci but this mechanic is the Achilles Heel no doubt.
why have all the updated they have been releasing just been nerfing the victims, on launch the chances of dying and escaping felt like 50/50 the game was perfectly balanced and now it feels more 70/30 towards the family it’s unbelievable this game is supposed to be balanced
the devs said that the victims were meant to play stealthy so if you do, chances are you get out, its supposed to be family sided idk why people dont get that

Nope it's fucking annoying still. I don't mind it as much now. But I still lobby dodge because everyone wants to play someone different is still a huge issue It's lead to dcs more and game crashes. A lot of new victims and family you're playing with that don't know what to do. And since you still don't know the level you run into a lot more sweaty matches.

I like most of the changes. I just fucked around on Slaughterhouse as family because victims could just basically do whatever they wanted IF they want to. Maybe now it will play a bit better. Gas Station totally depends on whose playing, as the balance goes one way or the other. I enjoy Family House the most as both sides, but of course you're not allowed to say that as it doesn't fit the narrative of the family main/victim main whine fest. My BIGGEST WORRY about this update is Gun going afk until January or February after the update. THAT will get what's left of the playerbase highly annoyed at them and give them PTSD flashbacks of what would happen to F13 after big updates. Total radio silence. I think THAT could COST them more than any changes made with the update.
Johnny using his Seek ability unable to detect victims while they are moving slowly or crouched doesn't make sense realistically because he uses footprints to find you
I don't understand how you have decent brightness in the game, but I am still pitch black on PS4. I can't see crap. Its ridiculous. They also need to get rid of the super long cooldown period of these generators. I turned on a generator, & yet the player I was chasing still escaped. If they want people to use Leatherface more then the chainsaw should cause a ton of damage, like two hits before death. It is ridiculous that players can take so much chainsaw damage like its nothing. You can still outrun Leatherface so its not as if he is going to be super unfairly balanced.
While the devs have made some great changes to the game it's very clear to me that they didn't listen when it comes to Leatherface some people just didn't want to play him so buy not removing the Barricades you are pretty much forcing people to play him or punishing us for not playing him I understand having Barricades removed as well might give the killers too much of an edge over victims but at the same time having them there will give victims too much of an edge over family because you will always be forcing to family members to leave their posts to deal with someone on a barricade so if they're in communication with other teammates the conversation will basically go something like I have two killers on me right now telling there teammates to Escape from where those Killers were patrolling
UPDATE: there was a typo in the patch notes. The Smoke Room Door will now have a locked gate that leads to it. It will not be electrified nor connected to the generator. Big difference!

I think they should have just added a electric grid behind it that way you actually have to use something your supposed to use and have to on other maps. It doesn’t even give an audio queue when they open the smoke room so it’s just a free escape.

If you have a regular friend group you play with, it’s worth it still because you can take turns so I’m excited for that. Otherwise, I can see why people would want to wait.
Ability cooldown is my main issue. That doesn’t solve the issue in the slightest. Its a punish the whole class for what the bad kid did scenario. When there’s an achievement that is to literally get a kill within 30sec this change just sounds silly cause it doesn’t slowdown door progression it just makes us more vulnerable to an early kill.
There are so many crawlspaces and Barricades in the basement. You should be able to survive for one minute without any issue.
i thinks thats sort of the point, this change directly affects every victim in a different way, leiland can no longer get out of jail free with leatherface, and flat out MUST avoid him or get gonked, ana while she couldn't simply stun leatherface, now ALSO must avoid him initially and be stealthy, as getting spotted means shes just as vulnerable as all other victims until her abilty comes off cooldown, she doesn't have her OH SHI- i got caught and am about to be chopped apart ability button
these two are the most affected, and the biggest "nonstealthy" characters, and primairly because even if there found early, they dont really care as they have a easy escape or survival method, now they dont, and MUST respect that or die very quickly,
for connie, she had a get out of basement instantly ability, this ... doesn't affect whatsoever how you can get out of the basement normally but she cant just instant pick a door then immediately just hide till her debuffs are off anymore,at least not from from the very moment she finds a lockpicking tool, which can sometimes be legitmently beside her or on her path to a exit door, she needs to spend at least some time picking it, leaveing her potentially vulnerable, ultimately a fairly small overall effect but a incentivization towards being stealthy,
for julie, this removes her early game infinate stamina with her ability, and if cook is level three and spotting for leatherface in the basement, julie doesent have her counter to that right off the bat, meaning again, she needs to be a bit more stealthy untill it comes off cooldown, both because she might get caught out by leatherface if she burns 2 much stamina, but also because cook and presumibly? nancy can catch her out with there ability
sonny, argueibly the only one that did not need this ability cooldown nerf to incentivise being stealth, sonny uses his ability primarily to know where family members are,or are NOT and to move to avoid them, or know when its safe to move quickly, him lacking access to this for a full min **severely** limits his entire advantage as victim early on, he is legitmently just worst then the others untill his ability is back up and able to be used to scout for family, but lacking the ability early means you DO need to work at being stealthy without your sonar letting you know where leatherface is pretty much 24-7
all in all, a definate game changer for the very start of each match, going loud for most people is now much more risky because you simply lack your ability to save you if you get caught out by leatherface,

it dident need to be fixed, it needed its information updated and clarifyed though,
the way the perk works is it has charges, when grandpa detects you, it instantly burns a charge, which lasts about 1 sec, while it lasts, gramps doesent reveal you,
the moment the buff wears off, it instantly burns another charge, meaning if you dont stop moveing like normal, a single scream can eat every one of your charges, and if you even tap a key and get revealed for a micro-second it will eat a charge, even if you dident actually move, just shifted,
similarly, it doesent let you avoid grandpas sonar, it lets you make that last ditch rush into cover without his scream revealing you, or being forced to sit in a really bad open area,
its NOWHERE near as good as everybody thinks it is, because its effect is flat out not what people think it is, but it DOES work correctly, its just bad is all
as for the perk to see family when he roars, no clue, wasint aware that one was bugged

I’ll play Leatherface since I can get 2-3 kills 95% of my games with him. He is OP when you master him and his hitbox, map layouts and have an understanding of inside the minds of victims. The pressure of a Sprinting and patrolling Bubba will never get old. If you use Scout on him he is just a killing machine.

I’m super excited about forcing people to be more stealthy, I tend to sneak around even while playing as Ana, and I roll my eyes at the idiots who pound the search key only to pre-maturely alert grandpa. Also happy they removed the Grandpa cut scenes, considering I got killed by Leatherface immediately after it just the other day, couldn’t see my screen. I hope they have basic glitch fixes, I got Leland in the gas station ‘house’ hall near where Grandpa spawns as Leather, and I glitched into the wall so bad I was trapped between the pipes, had to disconnect from the game 😒. Also think optional Leatherface is a good idea, it will help keep family players from leaving Lobby’s if they are stuck playing as Leather.
Also I think I’ll love playing Nancy, but Johnny and Hitchhiker are my favorite. Even with the changes making him weaker I’m still a Johnny player.
I don’t know why so many people complained about smokehouse door most games I’ve seen on gas station your going against LF,HH,Cook you have to use 2 lock picks just to get to the door and 75% of the time cook players are camping the 2 padlock gates

They need to add another door to leave the main house. Cook puts the three locks and hitchhiker his traps and that’s it. If you have like new players or even bad players, you ain’t leaving the main house at all. Since Cook just sits and listens and that’s it.
They also need to make the fuse box last a little longer when turned on, as soon as you get down to the door from across the map, they turn it off. Sometimes, there’s no point on doing the fuse box when across the map from the exit.
Everyone of the family’s abilities should have the same cooldown like the victims. So they can only use it once as well, until the cooldown resets again.
Every update so far has favored the family a lot more, and people bitch a lot about the victims but won’t say 💩 about the family advantage.

I don't like the noise outline being affected by door slams. The whole point of door slams is to stun the family member and run away, but if the family member can still see your outline while the pick themselves up, it defeats the whole purpose of trying to reset after a door slam stun

Slaughterhouse was my fave map to play as a victim (cant lie). Now its about to be more careful work. The problem is if all 3 family memebrs start camping.
On slaughterhouse there is 4 différents Doors on the mid Map, + fusebox + valve , they can't défend 6 type of exit on the mid Map at the same time
@angelmartin-picot1294 With the valve containers moving upstairs and two of those mid doors being on the same side as the pressure valve gate the family can easily cover enough ground a piece to camp the remaining 2 with good communication in my opinion. I'm not complaining but I know it will be more challenging.

The game quickly, and for the longest time, became so easy for victims. I slowly stopped playing because most matches will end fast and survivors know the things to exploit. Playing killer became a chore, especially in solo queue. Asymmetrical games usually have the killers be the easiest side, but this game was a whole other level of working for kills. I even stopped playing survivor entirely because it was too easy. Once you get certain builds, you can have an easy 80% or more escape rate. I like these changes and they are truly going to balance most of the escape routes. Maybe I will feel more likely to hop on and play. That’s not even because of the new map and characters.

Does anyone else think that the fusebox can be closed too fast? Even if you know the map, use the most optimized route, and run straight to the exit, you still might not make it out.
It depends on the map and where you are as a victim, it’s not going to close fast if you’re already in the basement. It’s not going to close fast if you know a fast route and you’re running choose flight. It’s not going to close fast if there is no family waiting to turn off the basement. It’s all different scenarios

Yes it does close too fast. You can tell bacause if youre the last person alive you wont make it in time if some family member just turns it right back off. Cooldown needs to be 45 seconds to make sure you can actually make it in time even if theyre camping the fusebox.
I don't understand the crouch walking to counter Cook patch. That's literally already a thing. They even said that in their Livestream which made me assume they just mispoke but I guess not. I thought they meant you'd be able to fast crouch walk and not be heard by Cook.

I disagree about the outside fusebox it’s hard to complete especially since more likely than not when the fusebox is outside grandpa is right beside it so it’s rare that victims can complete it when it’s right there so if anything it’d be a huge help to victims if they got rid of that spawn location in my opinion
It's just a bit harder to monitor the valve and the fusebox when it's in that location. If it's out there and someone is camping it, counter that just by pushing valve.

Man, I started playing when this came out with beliefs that the "fear" element would exist and that surviving would be a HUGE achievement (as is real horror).
The dash to exit, teaming up on family, infinite stuns, or rushing for valves was running the game. It's at the point where people are declaring "I'm a family main" and "I'm a victim main."
It's a horror game, and both sides should be used with very different experiences. Victims should be hidden and sought while experiencing intense fear (the sound of leatherfaces chainsaw and movement should be frightening). Not slugging killers with 0 fear of consequences or staying at exit gates.
I am happy about these changes. I think there should be an increased timer for lelands stun ability. He uses it once and is delayed for 5 minutes. It should be a get out of jail card. It's not intended for a stun lock.
For doors. They get slammed once, and they break. It should also highlight the player that slammed it.
Another is Connies ability to remove 2 breaks from the lock. She is still required to lockpick it, but she can skip it a bit.
This will change spam and get the game played seriously.

i like the emphasis on stealth okay like it was intended but playing stealthy after the 10th game in a row will get repetitive for some players, so being noisy or rushing adds that bit of excitement and different play style which they are trying to prevent

I really don't get why people don'y play Leatherface, he is definitely one of the scariest family members, and he can make the game real scary for victim players, it's good that they offer the option to not requite him to start the game, people will soon know how important he is to the game.

A lot of these changes are head scratchers, they change one element but change another so it’s essentially the same as before or not different at all
hopefully they fix the lobbies too. ive noticed alot of my lobbies wont find people to fill as family. The match making will find someone for the lobby but when someone leaves no one joins for the rest of the time. Only applies to family from my experiences.

Without barricades LF would still be pretty useful (permanently removing crawlspaces/doors, big damage, fast, practically infinite stamina) but you're not a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest without him. Which is exactly what I want for every character; useful but not mandatory. Keeping barricades means he's pretty much as forced as he was before
Even with LF around I would still want barricades gone because they are a huge early game time waster, at a time where you can't afford to be wasting time. They are a huge impediment to your teammates until you visit that part of the map, except some of them are so out of the way that if you decide to go there you are wasting a whole minute to break one thing. But if you don't break it it's an infinite. It's a lose-lose (I know there are crawlspaces but those have more ways to counter by other family members). I would really rather just get rid of them. It's not like there aren't enough crawlspaces, doors, and gaps for the victims to use anyways. It seems like they want to hold on to the idea of LF being in every match despite the overwhelming complaints, but I think this change would be for the best

I hate having to break shit for 2 minutes every game, I hate having to constantly juggle my chainsaw rev, I hate spawning alone in the infinite-riddled basement where you get bullied, I hate having longer feeding/searching animations, I hate being the worst grandpa feeder, I hate not having a real power besides revving a chainsaw, I have having no good/cool unique perks besides a slightly better version of serrated, I hate having to listen to that grating, ear splitting chainsaw that gives me a headache. Have I made my point? There's 4 (or 5) other characters in the game, being able to play them would be nice. I don't like having to play 1/5 (or 1/6) of the roster 9/10 of the time. I will gladly play with no LF, maybe that will cause enough barricade complaints for them to be removed

i think all of these changes are good except for the sliding door on slaughterhouse being able to be padlocked . i feel that is tipping slaughterhouse to be family favored but we will see how that works tomorrow

the nicotero saw volume was not changed in a different patch. as of right now the night before the update, nicotero saw is pay 2 win chainsaw bc its such a low volume.
Leatherface is only needed because they choose to have him as the only one who can break barricades. Like barricades are technically set up by the family. It doesn’t make sense that they’re all over the place and other family members can’t navigate around them.
But again the survivors need some chance to escape if they put in navigations around the barricades then it be difficult for survivors to try escape a chase that is also why they are there to help survivors escape
Yes but barricades aren’t the ultimate saving Grace. They have the ability to be destroyed already. There would be no harm in giving Johnny the ability to destroy them too, hell, Cook could destroy them or at least push them out of the way, just make it take longer than if leatherfsce did it. They already have vents and cracks and latches.
In family house, the fuse box can become inaccessible to anyone who isn’t sissy or hitch. if the barricade is placed in the middle of the hallway or by the second floor window. Even then, they have to take a long way around, which can allow the survivor to finish powering the fuse box.

House is geared for killers and so is gas station and now they making it so slaughterhouse easier for them. I always play stealthy for the most part. With them making so you can't use your abilities and the slow characters take longer getting tools and bone shards then leatherface shouldn't be able to run with saw over his head for that time period that they can't use their abilities. Funny how on house if the generator is out back the killers can watch both that and battery but don't change that but bring the tank upstairs. I just hope they remove the grapple issue where other killers can kill you while grappling, they should have to wait. They needed to make better maps and to be honest one map is good no doubt but 2 would have been great and i would have payed for them but paying that much for characters is some bullshit. You should just be able to drop shit from your inventory also how hard would that be. Move the stuff away from cracks so your not grabbing health or bone shards. Hoping its more balanced we shall see.
I'd argue that Gas Station is pretty balanced. It takes one gate popping open to flip the balance heavily in favor of victims. You just need a competent Connie.
victims win those grapples 99 percent of the time. that’s what needs changed. the insta kill is the risk you take. you’re supposed to be avoiding the family. not dancing with them.
House is only family sided with Hiker and a Cook. As soon as you miss one of them its balanced if you miss both it becomes victim sided because Johnny and Sissy lack any form of area control or slow down.

Usually i try to draw said family member away from other family members but i still think they should only get a shot at you after the grapple event. Its simple just make it so there is a stamina cost for grappling with family member since ya victim wins the grapple almost every time. The problem is they don't try thinking outside the box.
As a family main I feel the noise following victims might be too op but we'll see. Idk if I seen anything about them investigating exterior alarms or nobody escapes hell being too strong as it's really the only 2 perks I ever run.
I wonder when their going to fix the connection timing out during a match when i kill people as leatherface and it didn't count . and I don't get the kill because it sends me back into the main menu.
Devs really need to put their pride aside when it comes to removing the mandatory Leather Face. I don’t see why they don’t just make it so where everyone can push over and destroy the barbed barriers, instead of making another obstacle for the gameplay loop.
The new mechanic where your Aura gets broadcasted whenever you make noise now is very douchey. Basement rushing in particular is gonna be even more ridiculous.
And we could already counter Cook's ability with crouching so why are they saying they are adding that? These Devs are making me very weary about this game with almost every single patch.

With the Aura mechanic, basement rushing is going to be even more chaotic and ridiculous.
Especially when a Victim only opens one Door (Connie usually) and the rest of the team is getting hounded left and right in the basement.
Yeah this mechanic is totally not going to make this game even more unfun and toxic for sure.
@@Gregg_Magic ahh I see what you’re saying. But they can’t rush basement if you don’t wake up grandpa. By the time they can feed grandpa to wake him up, you should already have a door open. This is all very counterable.
@@SlashNCast Do you usually play with a team? Because solo queue is vastly different, there are multiple times where I literally just get out of the rope binding and Grandpa gets triggered from the other players.
And aside from basement rushing, this will affect Chases severely. Do you cut down every noisemaker, do you open all the grates before hand? Add a Cook to the team and the Victims will be in Radar Mode 24/7. I don't think people truly understand how suffocating this mechanic is going to be and how unfun it will make the game. Everything else in the patch seems gucci but this mechanic is the Achilles Heel no doubt.

Nope it's fucking annoying still. I don't mind it as much now. But I still lobby dodge because everyone wants to play someone different is still a huge issue It's lead to dcs more and game crashes. A lot of new victims and family you're playing with that don't know what to do. And since you still don't know the level you run into a lot more sweaty matches.

Finally making victim a bit of a challenge. Escaping very game without thinking was boring
I like most of the changes. I just fucked around on Slaughterhouse as family because victims could just basically do whatever they wanted IF they want to. Maybe now it will play a bit better. Gas Station totally depends on whose playing, as the balance goes one way or the other. I enjoy Family House the most as both sides, but of course you're not allowed to say that as it doesn't fit the narrative of the family main/victim main whine fest.
My BIGGEST WORRY about this update is Gun going afk until January or February after the update. THAT will get what's left of the playerbase highly annoyed at them and give them PTSD flashbacks of what would happen to F13 after big updates. Total radio silence. I think THAT could COST them more than any changes made with the update.
Johnny using his Seek ability unable to detect victims while they are moving slowly or crouched doesn't make sense realistically because he uses footprints to find you

I don't understand how you have decent brightness in the game, but I am still pitch black on PS4. I can't see crap. Its ridiculous. They also need to get rid of the super long cooldown period of these generators. I turned on a generator, & yet the player I was chasing still escaped. If they want people to use Leatherface more then the chainsaw should cause a ton of damage, like two hits before death. It is ridiculous that players can take so much chainsaw damage like its nothing. You can still outrun Leatherface so its not as if he is going to be super unfairly balanced.

While the devs have made some great changes to the game it's very clear to me that they didn't listen when it comes to Leatherface some people just didn't want to play him so buy not removing the Barricades you are pretty much forcing people to play him or punishing us for not playing him I understand having Barricades removed as well might give the killers too much of an edge over victims but at the same time having them there will give victims too much of an edge over family because you will always be forcing to family members to leave their posts to deal with someone on a barricade so if they're in communication with other teammates the conversation will basically go something like I have two killers on me right now telling there teammates to Escape from where those Killers were patrolling
