I'm from the midwest originally, specifically the north side suburbs of Chicago and then in northern Wisconsin. Believe me, you don't know cold until live in both Chicago and northern Wisconsin. When you have to deal with 45 below zero, then you can come talk to me about surviving cold weather lol. I thankfully live in Los Angeles now.

Face masks have gotten popular in the U.S. recently. I know some artists sell them as merch with different designs too. I think it's a good thing, though. It decreases the stigma of wearing them so germs don't spread as easily everywhere. But the nose warmer is a huge no for me, dawg.
