Xbox360Rager The Cadenza is a ripoff, but to expect anything else from an every day car company would be ridiculous. The point is that Maserati, given their history in boner-sprouting design, should be able to do better. Hell, I don't even think it looks that great. I saw it on the road last week and thought it was an ugly Cadenza. lol
blame it on the authentic germans... the cadenza was designed before the maserati.... and maserati is desperate for sales, thus justifying the imitative notions in their styling.

This guys good, Im happy he's actually honest with the car and doesn't feel he has to make it look good just because of the brand. Still an awesome car but just one question, does it really matter if it has the Uconnect system? because its a good system (I own a Ram) but If the settings are changed up abit to have "luxury" styling, I don't see a big problem. What are your thoughts?
I love that you are completely unbiased which sometimes may be brutal for some car manufacturers. That being said, you point out strengths, as well as weaknesses unapologetically. The fact that I would have considered a Maserati...but I am rethinking just due to your findings, that there is no back seat passenger room, not a very good design attribute! Keep up the great work on a great show!
Hey Brian! Another great review! Your one of the best car reviewers out there. You tell it like you see it for what the car is meant to be used for. Keep it up and BTW MAKE MORE VIDEOS! !!
i'm 6 feet tall and leg room in the back is absolutly no real issue in the Ghibli. Maybe you set the pedals way back (with 6 feet ?) or front seat was still in the easy entry position.. If you're realy over 7 feet tall, get a Quadroporte. Fair enough, the front (Quadroporte seats) rails of the Ghibli are long enough to stretch yr legs in the passager seat. Is it so bad? Not at all.. PS: How can you prefer the "unbalanced oversteering heavy end" of the RS 7 over a 2014 Panamera or a S Q4? Note we have roundebouts around here and there are no E-substitutes to a good 50 to 50 front to rear balance for enough lateral g force...
Bryan I was getting kind of scared that an audi wasn't in the top 5 until the rs7 came out! But seriously I'm a huge audi fan as well but maybe next time you can have a larger list to include more practical and affordable cars
I actually found this helpful and surprising. I have been strongly considering picking up a ghibli sq4 but the one thing that bothers me is how obnoxiously long it is. I made myself get over it though because I figured it would be very spacious and comfortable for trips and packing people in the car. The fact the back seat is that tight blows my mind for the overall size of the damn thing. I feel like there is more backseat room in a mitsubishi evo lol
The video says it's the first time Maser has done 2 4-doors at the same time. Note true. Maserati made the Quattroporte III and Biturbo 4-door side-by-side from 1983-89.
Surprised Cooley didn't mention the other components borrowed from Chrysler and Dodge. The light switch is from a 300, and the door window switch gear is from a Dodge Caravan -_-
I suggest you never look in a SLS; it shares switches with the A class. *gasp* The Ghibli's switches and the infotainment are massive improvements over previous masers. Buggy and difficult controls in Italian cars will soon be a thing of the past, and nobody should mourn them.
The infotainment can be had in the caravan too. Who cares It has a Ferrari motor!!! Go sit in one feel the real wood grain, and the Italian leather and comment. You will forget about the switches.
That Mercedes DICE system is nice in theory but in that demo it's awful. Everyone outside for one thing is going to think you're waving at them and giving them vague gestures and, even though the words and everything are in the window, you're still not focusing on the road.
What was cadillac thinking with the ELR, I'm so genius, but cmon what moron put the ELR together?? 1) it's ugly 2) it's way too expensive 3) it's only a sold as a two door RIP ELR
+MrMG191919 Complaining about something you dont need? LMFAO omg no adaptive cruise control what a horrible thing to miss :'( boo hoo I won't waste my imaginary 90k on that car
***** Try driving in bumper to bumper Los Angeles traffic every day then tell me you wouldn't rather be able to push a button and have the car drive it's self. Adaptive cruise is a must, unless you wanna suffer every day you commute.
I agree 100% Maserati demands $92,000 for a Ghibli with the same equipment of a top spec Charger- which it shares with. It's not special enough and exceeds the cost of a CLS and E-AMG, BMW-M4 and a bunch of others. Ride is rough and it's not as good a buy as the 14' CTS-V sport.
I've seen a few and while the front always catches my eye the back is something I just want to look away from. It's not bad but it doesn't hold my attention. It looks like something from a Taurus or Cadenza or last gen Avalon.
Loved this show. Brian is a hoot to see do reviews. Message to Brian. Once a bad sounding file, always a bad sounding one. No system will change that. 50 years of doing audio, I know what I am talking about. The Ghibli is so Italian. Performance, noise from that engine, and so much more. Yeah FCA should have stepped it up on the UConnect.....uh, I mean their infotainment. Rear seat space is so Euro 'Talian too. Does not surprise me. Just give me a Charger SRT-8, and we are friends okay?
I am glad they review rear seat and size. Because unless you are a loner you are bound to have family and company to take for a ride. A kind Request to review ACURA TLX PLEASE COOLEY
ppl dnt realize italian cars are not about all the gadgets. they are about the car and having fun driving them. they dnt care aboit all the buttons and bullshit
I'm most surprised that they still have a CD player. Sharing good tech is smart get over the Garmin's graphics dude. FCA should have gone with the knob gear selector and paddles.
lol mercedes rep: we would never distract you with useless information whilst you're driving ( windscreen space taken up by; how much oyster can you eat? )
I traded my 7 series for ghibli. Best decision i have ever made! You don't know until you drive one
The best sounding V6 motor in the world!
Ever heard of Nissan GTR?
HarasiElite gtr looks like crap
HarasiElite The GT-R sounds like shit...
HarasiElite The GT-R sounds like shit...
+EliteOps1 Isn't their v6 from Chrysler
Rear end looks like a Cadenza.
Car overall looks like an Infiniti M.
Interior is typical-Chrysler.
Bonjour je
Except the Cadenza itself is a rip-off...

Just a moment ....
"Interior is typical-Chrysler." since when Chrysler is owned by Fiat
because before Chrysler interiors were very very cheap !
$89,500, coincidentally exactly what my condo cost me when I bought in 1994! :-) Much better 0-60 time though.
I get excited like a little kid whenever I see a new 'Cnet On Cars' episode!!
Under my trunk I keep :
Spare tire
Tire replace kit (lifter and other tools)
Compresor
Flashlight
Screewdrivers
Spare fuses
Spare lights
Spare spark plugs (actualy old ones that stil work)
WD40
Car cover
2 peice of plastic snow drift savers with plastic studs (you put it under driven wheels)
1l of oil (my car started to consume oil)
Jumpstart cables
Old altenator belt
Under the hood I keep :
Electicity tester (srewdriver whit light inside and wire that goes on negative lead)
Sponge for sleaning oil dipstick
Under the seat there are :
Deicer
First aid kit
Brush for cleaning the car
High visibility jacket
I only have a double barrel. I can use that to get anything on your list from the friendly fellow drivers.
His name should be changed to the truth. Best segments on the whole network comes from this guy.
It is a pleasure to see Maserati back on track after the 90's 00's trouble.
This guys good, Im happy he's actually honest with the car and doesn't feel he has to make it look good just because of the brand. You are awesome for carrying around pet food for strays. I thought I was the only one.
"That's a black day in their calendar." Love the way you painted that story...great review as always Brian
Having the same screen as the dodge dart is a deal breaker
His reviews are getting better

My dad drives a diesel Ghibli as a company car, and honestly Maserati deserves cred for making a diesel sound good O_O
Hey Cooley, I kinda wanna buy the RS7 but I just heard that a new 7series is coming out. Should I wait, or just buy the current one?
Hey Brian! Another great review! Your one of the best car reviewers out there. You tell it like you see it for what the car is meant to be used for. Keep it up and BTW MAKE MORE VIDEOS! !!
Rain sensors are an extra on the Ghibli? Damn., about every European car over 30 grand Euro has them standard nowadays
CNET on cars, my favorite segment.
That interior it... reminds me of my 300, only nicer. Dunno how I feel about that.

Woah didn't know about the Dodge Dart screen LOL.
Love Brian Cooley and the team! Great show as always
Cooley wore a really nice suit on, very well tailored.
That sound is AWESOME!!!! Almost like a Ferrari
The video says it's the first time Maser has done 2 4-doors at the same time. Note true. Maserati made the Quattroporte III and Biturbo 4-door side-by-side from 1983-89.
love the jacket brian

But is true that mostly dodge family cars used Mercedes engines and transmissions?
julio bello not that I know of. The engines in dodges were fairly new from dodge recently and honestly not that good unless you get into hemi's
That Mercedes DICE system is nice in theory but in that demo it's awful. Everyone outside for one thing is going to think you're waving at them and giving them vague gestures and, even though the words and everything are in the window, you're still not focusing on the road.
2:51, this is why we love cooley!!!! he keeps it real.
"More cameras than a press conference", hahaha!!! Hilarious!!!
It's true you have the most honest reviews on You Tube!
How come when he went over the centre display between rpms and speed there was a mouse flashing over it ?
Love this show.
Great episode
Another awesome episode. Keep these coming.
love this show

I agree, on your choice for top mid-2014 cars.....
So 90,000 and still no Adaptive Cruise? Thanks but Mercedes CLS 550 has more features, is just as fast, and costs 80,000.
MrMG191919 but is it italian?
MrMG191919 Does it sound or drive like the Ghibli?
***** Its just as fast

Gorgeous car indeed ! Thanks for this review.
best programming on YT
I really like the front, but the back does not look like is worth $90,000
What about those quad exhaust pipes?
I agree 100%

Great episode, love it😀
how hard is 1080p?
sort of a joke, c/net, check the tech, tech blogging, tech website, 720p???
depends on how much they have to bribe Comcast to deliver the content.
Damn my internet slow as shit, can barely stream 720p smoothly.
Travis Wang My university gets a gigabit down. Even in the dorms :)
mjoleksy but that's "c-net style".
Audi Rs7...my dream 4 door sport sedan
According to their website, base price is 66k
im sure it is but like everything else in the market especially of that brand the price shoots up real quick
What happened to the 66k ghibli?
Can you guys review the Rapide S?
ugly is included at no extra charge. what car was he talking about?
?You're not going off-road, you're going to whole foods" Bro! telling it like it is!!!!
Brian Cooley could have done Wheatley's voice justice in Portal 2!
Cooley is the perfect man for this show
I've seen a few and while the front always catches my eye the back is something I just want to look away from. It's not bad but it doesn't hold my attention. It looks like something from a Taurus or Cadenza or last gen Avalon.
amazing as always
I personally think Merc has never completely rubbed off the Chrysler colors off it's skin.....and now, this Maserati too is an FCA product.
something that merc still has from chrysler (or the other way around) is the keyfob.
Loved this show. Brian is a hoot to see do reviews. Message to Brian. Once a bad sounding file, always a bad sounding one. Damn Cooley you are on it like white on rice.
What's the Doug score
Subbed for Brian !
3:20 get ready for voice crack lol
Give me the 1967 beauty!!!
15. "Very good mpg".
So beautiful. #ILove
I think given whats out there they haven't hit it with the styling.
My Maserati goes 185
I lost my license , now i don't drive
I bought a limo , i sit in the back ,
I lock the doors in case i'm attacked
Life's Been Good to me so far. :)
I saw the screen of the Maserati and did a double take because I thought I was looking at the screen of a Chrysler 300.
Where's model s in that top five?
Do a 2015 chrysler 200c
He just did in this video
I'm most surprised that they still have a CD player. Sharing good tech is smart get over the Garmin's graphics dude. FCA should have gone with the knob gear selector and paddles.
Such a pretty car and sounds great. Will I buy one ? Nope.
That back seat space is laughable. Lol.
Please make a video on a Toyota corolla me
COOLEY I LOVE YOU!
How is the rs7 ranked higher then the S Class???
AA batteries? In the trunk? In the super hot on a sunny day trunk? No thanks D:
Someone has a soft spot for maseratis
the quattroporte is much much much nicer. sounds better and looks better
Glad to see he finally upgraded his phone. Too bad its an iPhone...
K7 뒷모습 닮앗고..
옆라인은 인피니티 m 닮고..
인테리어는 크라이슬러라고??
i personally think that Maserati has sold its soul to investors, not stakeholders in overall. where is that distinctive look of the previous model
Dont really a give a shit about cars. Just came to see Cooley
he always hates on sd card slots in every car that has one! why did he talk good about this one this time? >:o
The gears heft almost the worst in the world
And the top roof shake when u push it..
...hahah
Would be a head turner in Germany.
It should be call Cooley NET.
You forgot the new s class trunk is not all that great.
The Ghibli looks and sounds pretty fantastic, but the price stinks to high heaven :-/
lol mercedes rep: we would never distract you with useless information whilst you're driving ( windscreen space taken up by; how much oyster can you eat? )
Have an MRE rather than cat food.
What's the deal with the cat food?
Why don't you make a video about a Rolls Royce
720p????????????????????
Might be me being stupid, but the Maserati looks a lot like recent KIA's.
