As a durability engineer, I'll tell you the truth... Unfortunately, Volvo, and I have their latest model, is taking the easy way out. The combustion units are too complicated and not worth producing. Electric cars are the path of least resistance for profit. This is, of course, obvious. The best example is limiting the car to 180 km/h. That's exactly what I have. Some might think, 'Okay, it's safe, they care about safety...' but hey, that's not the point... their priority is money ;)
