Vinny needs to do a little more research on this guy. This is the worst discussion I’ve seen on this show. His FAMILY, as in grandfather, is super wealthy. Also why should an McDonald employee be nervous about someone who killed a ceo. An McDonald employee and a ceo are not the same
22:57 is actually HILARIOUS. Court TV wants you to believe that Brian Thompson’s only crime was “having a different opinion” than 98% of the country 😂 and not that he’s responsible for the deaths of THOUSANDS.
The health care system bankrupted my dad after my mother died of cancer when she was 44 and I was 18. This is about the healthcare system. Trying to take care of two girls still in school who just lost their mother, but he had to file bankruptcy because he was being sued for $450k for her surgery. We were a poor family. And they only made it worse and barely gave us a chance to grieve because we worried about money.
Unaliving is NOT ok. But this heinous act will hopefully put pressure on lawmakers re health insurance companies and the lobbying that’s done on their behalf. Sadly acts like these will likely continue unless something is done to halt this outlandish greed at the expense of US citizens.
@@rebeccae9311 And there will likely be more acts like this if Luigi is made into a hero. This is the definition of terrorism, use fear to make others comply.
This won't make them take any action, aside from buffing up security. They're all closing ranks, no one is making dialogue to address the insurance system.
@obligatoryusername7239 Atrium health group just dropped the debts of thousands of their North Carolina customers after reports surfaced that they had put liens against patients homes to collect their $$
I think I've just realised why i have this empathy towards Luigi. Yes i have a dramatic family medical history but it's not that i can relate in that way despite having a very traumatic lifetime long story to tell on that note. It's the mother in me. Imagine IMAGINE being the mother of this absolutely beautiful boy who excels at school, leader of this and that, getting bursaries and / or internships etc etc. And then this. I feel the same empathy for his family as i do for Brian Thompson's family. Very very sad indeed.
Mangione's family have every reason to be proud of their heroic son, while Thompson's ex-wife and teen aged sons will be haunted by the cruel trail of greed the CEO left in his wake.
I think he'll be fine if he ends up in prison because what Luigi did was an act of social justice. That is what many people actually think. It is critical that people who live with victimhood maintain a proper perspective on what happened. I am struggling with this, myself.
You don’t know his family situation or wealth status. Just because his family is from a wealthy background, does not mean Luigi had access to it. Check your facts and have some knowledge about the medications Luigi was given prior to this.
Unless you yourself, or as a healthcare worker, have seen people either financially devastated or die from being denied coverage from what a DOCTOR deemed to be a needed procedure, surgery, medication, you cannot even begin to understand the devastation these insurance companies run by CEOs making millions in bonuses by doing so, and why people are not so unhappy in this event. These insurance CEOs generally do not have a history in healthcare. Seeing the faces of people as patients. They’re businessmen. They see numbers and not people. Nothing else seemed to work. The anthem BC/BS CEO sure backed down from that anesthesia debacle. So, sometimes it works.
Vinny darling thank you for showing us that Luigi is the true Batman and there are people who dont worship money but have integrity and humanity left in them Thank you 🙏 for showing us what a true sacrifice Luigi made for all of humanity
LEGAL QUESTION: IM SURE COURT TV IS RAN BY LAWYERS SO I KNOW YOULL BE ABLE TO ANSWER THIS. IF A INSURANCE COMPANY DENIES A CLAIM: THAT DIRECTLY LEADS TO A DEATH OF ONE OF ITS INSURED- IS THERE ANY CHANCE THAT COMPANY OR CEO WOULD EVER FACE CRIMINAL CHARGES? FOR: 1. Murder Definition: murder: unlawfully killing one person by another- by any means: 2.MANSLAUGHTER Definition: taking the life of another (without malice) 3.WRONGFUL DEATH Definition: death caused by neglect, recklessness, intentional. I'm pretty sure if a insurance company denies a claim the leads to a death of and insured customer it falls under a few of these. But are they ever charged? Would they ever be? The answer is no. They get away with their decisions directly leading to deaths everyday. What did Brian Thompson do too make 25 million a year? No job is worth paying someone that much, except if your a corporate assassin, that denies millions of claims that save the insurance company so much money by denying those claims, they can afford to pay the ceo 25 million a year. Wonder how many denials, that led directlly to deaths he signed? And I mean let's be honest here Brian Thompson was a serial unaliver. The companies own hit man. Got paid 25 million a year to play god with everyone's families and friends. It's sick, it's wrong, it's illegal, but everyday they do it. Well maybe luigi will get 25 years but maybe he will be the change to greedy cooperate unalivers getting away with unaliving it's insured that were paid by them, the state ect. To stand up and take care of them. Maybe they will start getting charged when their decisions lead to the death of their customers. And maybe ceo will make far less so the insurance company has more money to cover their insured conditions. If Brian made even $500,000 a year that would of been, $ 20 million dollars the company could use to cover treatments of its customers... Brian thompson was paid 25million a year!! Because he saved the company enough money by denying claims they could afford to pay him that much. Never did he face any charges for any denials he was behind that led to deaths.. think about that? Scott free+ 25 million a year. 100's of thousands lost- moms, dads, brothers, sister, grandma, grandpa, uncles, aunts, friends ect. Gone forever So greedy Brian could have 25 million a year... that's criminal. And I hope there's change: i hope laws are passed that hold insurance companies liable, criminally not monetary... because we all know that's the most they have ever had to face is fines, suits, ect. Time to criminally charge these ceo companies with real crimes. That would be the only way Americans would ever have faith and trust ever again in the system that be... Because Brian Thompson is not a good guy sorry but it's true and no one else making 25million a year is a good guy or girl, when theirs millions with not $1.00 in the world. These insurance companies prey on people, and in a way the state needs to hold UHC and other companies liable, because the states use UHC as their go too companies for welfare, ssi, ect. The state medical of choice, tax money pays them for medical for poor people, young parents ect. Elderly folks who get ssi- and if they deny a claim that leads to the deaths of probably millions of the customers a year they are paid to cover, thats fraud, they were paid to cover their health and lord for bid they get a few expensive treatments, or operations they got to cover- that's your job that's why a health care company does. Shouldn't of got into the buisness if you didn't plan on doing what you sold so good to these customers and states and federal programs that hired you to be their medical. If a doctor makes a mistake and someone dies it's malpractice, wrongful death, ect they face jail, prision even look at michael Jackson's doctor.... But when that doctors hands are tied by insurance not covering medicine, treatment, operation ect or only covering cheap materials for surgeries, treatments ect. That's wrong and should be criminal- matter of a fact if pushed it bet they could charge health care companies with mass unalivings all over the world. Think about this: if an electrician wires your home with speaker wire instead of 110volt wiring because the customer only wanted to pay 1/4 the cost then the electrician would be criminally charged for doing it, so why are doctors being allowed to use experimental treatments and products to do surgeries? The doctors should be charged same way, the electrician would walk away because he knows it's wrong. The point is UHC and other companies ceo are making 25million,75 million i read a year. Why what services could they provide to make that? It's not back breaking work, it's not being a mastermind and providing unheard of ideas.. the more they get paid the more they save the company money so for let's say Brian to make 25 million a year just think about how much they were making to be able to pay him that- what 50 billion? 100 billion? 500billion well how are they making so much? Because all the states pay them premiums to cover customers and instead they deny those customers mostly leading to them loosing thier lives all for what money, money, money, it's sick I know for a fact if you lived for greed in this world, you'll be sorry in the next. Greed is a cardinal sin. And so is killing anyone or anything. Everything has a soul. That's why the only way to ever rectify this is too start holding insurance companies criminally liable for thier actions. All actions, no more using inadequate materials for surgeries, if your actions and decisions lead to a death of an insured over the cost of a treatment or procedure of a insured customer- you get charged period and not a fine, not payoff to family you get criminally charged you go straight to jail. That would restore humanity in trust. (And no more ceo's making $25-75 million a year) while denying claims that are nowhere near that much. It's 2024 almost 2025 Americans know alot more then you think they know, it's the age of Aquarius all in dark will come to light- Americans research everything now a days, we all know why ceo make so much money and they didn't earn it, they saved the company 100× what they get paid, in order to make what they make.. and it's off our backs.
In the manifesto he details the hell his mother experienced with her health. It starts with her. She was denied health insurance by this insurance company. His back going was the tipping point.

Luigi Mangione is no joke. Not many well off people would sacrifice it all to stand up for the wrongly downtrodden.
The amount of money being made off healthcare is obscene
It should be capped
Companies can still earn money for providing a service in the healtcare industry but they shouldnt be able to exploit people
Wow talkin bout “Will he survive?” Bro..he hasn’t even been convicted yet but you’re just assuming he’s about to do life. As a NYer, good luck getting 12 of us to convict him. Also, he was estranged from his wealthy family and had a pretty low budget plan to execute..he took a bus, rode a bike, and made his own gun..SMH…jumping the gun a little bit guy???
Here’s a thought just think how many people may have spotted him and remained silent?
Note how Court TV will now attempt to paint Luigi as “not one of you!! he’s the 1% you hate right??” since their “you’re all CRAZY if you defend him” tactic didn’t work. These are more cheap tricks to divide us. Again, you’re smarter than they are, don’t fall for it.
For real, it’s so disgusting

Yes, and COVID was created in a lab and released on purpose, how much did CEO know?

Very disappointing Vinnie! The victim not only “represented” healthcare, he was the culprit profiting from others pain and suffering!

Absolutely
Vinnie bends very easily and has no morals. He switches to whatever rich or powerful people think. He’s weak as. Can’t stand him anymore.
Not to mention he's a perp in my eye
The media is trying so hard for their corporate masters to spin Luigi as some supervillain LMAO. Give me a break!
@@1jakenar he is a coward who shot an unarmed man in the back and ran away like a little girl. He’s not a super villain he is just a pos and a vile criminal.
Yet he’s managed to bring to light the horrors of the healthcare industry. You’re either morally bankrupt and don't care, work in health care and are part of the problem or are just a giant pos. Take your pick.
You’re also incredibly naive and dumb. You’ve been conditioned by society to accept him shooting that ceo as violence but what of the 60,000 people that DIED last year due to poor healthcare? 33 billion in profit shouldn’t be a thing.
Yes, he was close to the scene. Drank some water and ate a protein bar. He found the killer’s gun and picked it up. Not guilty
I think they have a bit more than you're allowing.
I didn't mean to drop it
Vinny needs to do a little more research on this guy. This is the worst discussion I’ve seen on this show. His FAMILY, as in grandfather, is super wealthy. That doesn’t mean every family member has access to the grandfathers money. His Mother’s condition has more to do with his anger and frustration than his own back. Maybe you should find out more before you go spewing out stuff on this case.
Ok so when you say both can be true, that he shot the guy and will be convicted of murder, and that uhc denied people that ended up dying because of it… where’s the consequence for the latter?
Also why should an McDonald employee be nervous about someone who killed a ceo. An McDonald employee and a ceo are not the same
22:57 is actually HILARIOUS. Court TV wants you to believe that Brian Thompson’s only crime was “having a different opinion” than 98% of the country 😂 and not that he’s responsible for the deaths of THOUSANDS.
Read the room Vinnie. No one is mad at him
The health care system bankrupted my dad after my mother died of cancer when she was 44 and I was 18. This is about the healthcare system. Trying to take care of two girls still in school who just lost their mother, but he had to file bankruptcy because he was being sued for $450k for her surgery. We were a poor family. And they only made it worse and barely gave us a chance to grieve because we worried about money.
How do you know he doesn’t need the money?!? Who says his family will pay for his defense?! Cmon
Dude was upper middle class at best, keeps saying “TOP 1% OF THE TOP 1%” lmao delulu
It shows how really united we are in this country. The majority looks at him as a hero! Shows how disturbing our health care truly is.
Unaliving is NOT ok. But this heinous act will hopefully put pressure on lawmakers re health insurance companies and the lobbying that’s done on their behalf. Sadly acts like these will likely continue unless something is done to halt this outlandish greed at the expense of US citizens.
This is how most people feel because following the rules isn’t getting average citizens anywhere. 1% better wake up quick.

My sentiments exactly. To have a complete psychotic break in such a destructive and public way is any mother's worst nightmare.
I’ve thought of this young man’s family as well.

This case has opened my eyes to how out of touch Court TV really is, truly. It’s insane to watch.
When is the insurance going to be accountable.
Of course your not Vinnie because you're wealthy and don't have any worries about your healthcare!
Money doesn’t matter. We all have deductibles, premiums, medications don’t matter how rich you are. He watched his mother suffer.

FOR:
1. Murder
Definition: murder: unlawfully killing one person by another- by any means:
2.MANSLAUGHTER
Definition: taking the life of another (without malice)
3.WRONGFUL DEATH
Definition: death caused by neglect, recklessness, intentional.
Gone forever
So greedy Brian could have 25 million a year... that's criminal.
Because all the states pay them premiums to cover customers and instead they deny those customers mostly leading to them loosing thier lives all for what money, money, money, it's sick
I know for a fact if you lived for greed in this world, you'll be sorry in the next.
