I live in 22601!! I ride past her old house on s.kent a lot!! She is buried at the pretty graveyard with the fountain I think and I'm not even sure if the house on Kent is where she lived it is definitely a museum made for her there though!! Winchester used to be the Apple capital of the world! Facts!!😎💯 Rip Pasty
Patsy Cline was the "James Dean" of the Music Industry, in that their career lasted only a few short years, but forever remembered! It was especially important to me because my 44 year old mother died the same week, i.e. Mar. 9th,1963, as Patsy,(March 5th,'63) so their deaths coincide in my memory! Love & R.I.P. Patsy & Mother! We loved you!
My Grammy always had me sing walking after midnight to her when I was growing up and that sparked my interest in patsy cline. I always take it as a huge compliment when I’m told I have a patsy cline sound to my voice. Crazy to think what she would have accomplished if she took that car ride, but her statement shows the kind of strong woman she was 🖤
Patsy Cline was to country what Janis Joplin was to blues rock, Aretha Franklin was to soul, Judy Garland was to vocal music, Mahalia Jackson was to gospel and Whitney Houston was to pop-R&B: a world changing singer that transcended her genre.
will my opinion pats was just the best of them all or should I say my favorite of them all. better than janice Aretha Whitney or any of them. she had a haunting yet beautiful voice that can't be matched.
Patsy Cline had an extremely exclusive beautiful voice which touched our hearts ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍💯 unforgettable So sad 😭😭 The world lost an exquisite voice which in my opinion no other voice could or duplicate this singer but she lives in our hearts ❤️❤️❤️
Nice job on Patsy. I moved her to TN from Michigan and really fell in love with her music, you did a great job and nice seeing you present the video and moved it along....
I was born in Winchester, Virginia, 1952 ad but I heard Patsys music. I was a young kid I loved it and I just asked her that I still do. It is alarm set music. Very sad day. She had an airplane crash, but I still listen to her music today and I love it this year and I missed missed her
I grew up and live in the Shenandoah Valley. When my husband and I decided to finally tie the knot we wanted to see a Justice of the Peace. We found out that the only one in Virginia was in Winchester. We drove about an hour north and got married in historic Winchester. It was the first time I had ever been into downtown Winchester. We married in the historic district and I couldn't help but think that I was walking were Patsy once walked. Beautiful place and a must see.
We went to Charlie Dick's holiday open house years ago at Winchester, he lived in the reconstructed George Mason estate called "Selma" bought with Patsy's earnings. I have also been driven around Winchester in her black and red 1956 De Ville. Patsy was a fantastic talent never to be forgotten.
I had heard that Charlie died rich and cushy, living in a Winchester mansion, but I can't find anything connecting him to that place. Patsy loved her Caddies! Lucky you.
So many documentaries. You did a magnificent job at this one. Her album was in our record cabinet grow up, a long with Jim Reeves. My Daddy loved those records. After he passed in 1965 my Mother couldn't bear to hear them. I love old country music and keep them in my CD changer in my car. Keeps me grounded; never forget where you came from. I'm sure Patsy never forgot either.😘
Her songs touches you deep inside. Sometimes even brings you to tears. She can take a song and make it her own and sing it to you with all of her emotion❤
Never listened to country music until i visited a friend of the family and she played some of Patsy's records. When i heard her singing i had to ask, who is she? After that, i did my own research, watched documentaries about her death, bought all her music, cried after watching her movie and learned so much about her life.😢 Today, i still listen to her music and enjoy watching her singing on RUclips ❤ She was special, 🙏 🙏 RIP
This is the reason why I never fly on a plane. Had Pasty took Dottie West's offer, she would have still lasted a little longer as she was gone too soon with a growing fan base to back up on.
But you will get into a car ....its the samething it can end at any moment we don't control when or how...ask James dean...I mean richie valen memt his fate by a coin flip...plenty ways to die ...plane car ...but if that is your belief then so be it...
I have her songs on my music streaming platform and on my music Player as well I love Patsy Cline Rest in Peace 🙏 🕊 sing on in heaven with God and the angels 😇 🙏
My father , god rest his soul, absolutely loved her. At his funeral we played three of Patsy`s songs. 2015 he passed away. Some day I'll find the strength to watch this video
The things you never know about your favorite singers until you learn it all. Patsy Cline is one of my favorite country singers, and I was born three and a half decades after she died.
AHHHH PATSY!!!! I can’t BELIEVE you made a video about my baby!!!! No one in this “generation” knows of her, yet I completely and totally DIE FOR HER!!! AHHHHHHH
Love Patsy Cline's Music. I just visited her home and gravesite in Winchester. I also went to see the radio station she auditioned at in Winchester that he talked about in the video. Sadly its being torn down currently. I made a video of my time there. Thanks for this video.
I was born 3 years after Patsy died, but I was raised on classic Country music. As an adult, I still love Country music. When I turned 40, my husband and daughter took me to Nashville and the Opry. While there we toured the Ryman. I took advantage of going up on stage and stand in the circle. I explained the circle to my daughter while freaking out inside thinking "I'm standing where Patsy Cline stood!" A moment in my life I'll never forget.
Patsy you were a pleasure to hear -, you decorated our life with your beautiful voice and your beautiful songs - you were taken from our world too soon - you will always be missed by those that truly valued you- you were one in a million -you sing your songs loud in heaven and when I get there I will be truly blessed to hear your beautiful voice again xxx
Patsy landed at the airport in Dyersburg, TN in a flight from Kansas City on a very bad weather night, how do I know, cause the airport is right next to the house I grew up in, and I remember the bad weather that night, I was 12 years old, airport manager Bill Braese tried to talk them out of flying on, offered to drive them to Nashville the next day, but, they were in a hurry, and the rest is history
Patsy Cline is the greatest country female singer of all time. And she is one of the top five female singers of the 20th century. The others being Barbra Streisand, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland and Bette Midler.
You're absolutely right....Good evening, Christine how are you doing over there hope you're having a wonderful day it's a lovely day that the lord has made.
Patsy Cline was way ahead of her time. I love that no matter the circumstances she did not listen to anyone and proved to Everyone that she could make it with her beautiful voice. ❤️ Patsy was a sassy classy multitalented women she paved the way for All women that had and has the same dream as she did. Never under estimate women we All are strong and can do the impossible. I applaud her. She died way to early gone but never ever forgotten. Thank you Patsy. God rest her precious soul. ❤️
It was not uncommon back then to date older men. Girls of 14 and up were very mature and had skills from helping their mothers with younger siblings. Most were very good cooks by then also.
Karen was talented, no doubt, yet I feel she was never able to wring every ounce of emotion from every note like Patsy could. She had a cry in her voice that was haunting
Her life and death mirror that of Charles H. "Buddy" Holley, Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson. IMO her passing was the day country-western music died.
You're absolutely right....Good evening Jocelyn how are you doing over there hope you're having a wonderful day it's a lovely day that the lord has made.
True, there were many women Country performers who preceded Patsy, but she came out with a different strength. She sparked the younger women's interest with her approach. She was actually singing a bit of rock n roll (Got A Lot of Rhythm In My Soul); she was fresh!
She was so multi talented and Intelligent. She came from poverty, and wrote many songs. Died at 30, way too soon.. I believe, that if she hadn't died in the plane crash, she would still die fairly soon, from medical problems
Well, I was about five years old. I was at the gym drop it in Winchester, Virginia at Patty came in and we were dancing to her music all day player add she five people came and came over and asked me to come over to the table at my bus, OK Patsy Cline and she came over to my mother’s table and asked if he could adopt me she would set up so bye-bye shut down about that five kids of the time head was really upset because she could adopt me save you a hug if we were still dance with
Rest In Peace Patsy Cline.

Crazy and I Fall To Pieces are my favorite songs.

What a massive mark she made on music at such a young age. Thanx for the beautiful music, Patsy. You are missed.

LEGEND.
Patsy and loretta back together again
You're absolutely right....Good evening how are you doing over there hope you're having a wonderful day it's a lovely day that the lord has made.
It's incredible and tragic the struggles Patsy Cline endured only to perish at such a young age and not be able to really enjoy her success.
Rest in peace, patsy cline we missed you a loooot!!!! Thankx for sharing it on yt😮😮😮😅😅😅😅
I Fall To Pieces..

Ummm... Aretha?
@@curbmassa You’re right. I would switch her out for Bette Midler.
@@shackdaddy7106those people you named are really good but with Patsy she has a haunting beautiful voice that cannot be matched. she is just amazing.
My favorite songs sung by Virginia Patterson Hensley, aka Patsy Cline: I FALL TO PIECES, CRAZY and I LOVED AND LOST AGAIN. RIP GINNY!
SHE'LL ALWAYS BE ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS OF ALL TIMES DIED TOO! YOUNG GODBLESS HER SOUL LOVE HER SONGS .CRAZY LOVE IT🀄😇🀄😇
Why are you yelling?
You're absolutely right....Good evening, Christine how are you doing over there hope you're having a wonderful day it's a lovely day that the lord has made.
I'm not afraid of flying but I would never get on a plane that small. She is my favorite female country singer.

Hello Catherine how are you doing!!
Wait so her mom was 16 and father 44? Did I hear that right? Love pasty clien..
It was not uncommon back then to date older men. Girls of 14 and up were very mature and had skills from helping their mothers with younger siblings. Most were very good cooks by then also.
Fantastic voice
Nice, I learned something. Hard to believe she couldn't read sheet music or a note.
What a tragic and short life 😥
I love this woman
Patsy vs Karen Carpenter is always a equal to me
I always think of Karen Carpenter when I listen to Patsy. Voices like velvet. Such a tragedy they both died so young.
Two of the best
Sorry but ain't no one as good as Patsy!
Karen was talented, no doubt, yet I feel she was never able to wring every ounce of emotion from every note like Patsy could. She had a cry in her voice that was haunting
@@polamidget1926if you get a chance sometime give a listen to Jo Stafford and Kay Starr. I feel these two influenced Patsy a good deal.
Can you do Connie Converse please
Her life and death mirror that of Charles H. "Buddy" Holley, Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson. IMO her passing was the day country-western music died.
As well as Jenny Rivera. (The Mexican Patsy.)
Sentimental I have same luck she had bad but I guess 1957 was good for her too
My hero
Rest in piece, patsy!!😇
You're absolutely right....Good evening Jocelyn how are you doing over there hope you're having a wonderful day it's a lovely day that the lord has made.
Well, Kitty Wells had a hit with It Wasn't God who Made Honky Tonk Angels before Patsy Cline hit it big!
True, there were many women Country performers who preceded Patsy, but she came out with a different strength. She sparked the younger women's interest with her approach. She was actually singing a bit of rock n roll (Got A Lot of Rhythm In My Soul); she was fresh!

was there evidence of her body at the plane crash site?
Just parts. The plane hit the ground at full speed. So tragic.
Who is the host?
8:44 March 3, 1963 , Patsy Cline died in plane crash just 8 months before the assassination of John F. Kennedy
she had that kelly clarkson smile
Rest in peace.
Rip Patsy Cline❤
Good grief, she HAD to have money, they bought a house and had an expensive car. I just watched a video about her house being sold.
How many pilots with no experience!
She was so multi talented and Intelligent. She came from poverty, and wrote many songs. Died at 30, way too soon.. I believe, that if she hadn't died in the plane crash, she would still die fairly soon, from medical problems

This video is way too negative. Got me all depressed. regret watching it

I could do without the annoying background music
Patsy should of definitely took dottie west's offer, she would of been alive a lot longer she should never of gotten on that plane RIP Sweet Angel.
Wasn’t really that good. Just sayin’
What wasn't that good if I may ask??
