Dude, I am so happy that I’m not crazy. I feel like I’ve always been competent with ship combat on High Seas, sinking just about anyone in my way, but when I got into Hourglass I was shocked with just how outclassed I was. Getting oneballed constantly and seemingly tracked across the deck, wheel and mast going down really fast with regular cannonballs, opponents getting insanely fast boards and deckshots behind my back even when I swore I was listening and watching for them, and crazy aim across boats and on deck. I always assumed they were just a thousand times more cracked than I was and took the L with grace each time. I reached this point recently where I was like “I guess I’m just not good enough at the game, and it seems like no matter how competent I get, I’ve hit my skill ceiling” and gave up on hourglass; I couldn’t even manage to hold a streak for long before running into one of these crews that was just insanely good at the game. From this video, I can see that I’m playing pretty close to how you guys are, with good communication and occasional small mistakes… and I can also see the exact same “flow” from the opponents as I’m seeing in my own games. Insane cannonball shots that track you across the deck and constantly keep you off your cannon with total control, crazy fast boards where you’ve barely heard the mermaid and splash before you’re dead, consistent spawn predictions and instantly getting killed right after respawn… it’s all there in my hourglass matches. It just takes an outside perspective to see the cheating for what it really is. I feel like an idiot tbh, and I’m really mad. I’ve actually been pretty good at the game this whole time, and I can hold my own just fine, but I was tricked into believing that I wasn’t capable of reaching higher levels or performing well because of some assholes with external clients. And weirdly, horribly, I also kind of get where that last cheater is coming from. He’s just carrying people to 1000 and getting hundreds of dollars off of it; he’s making bank. The way he just insta-sinks you, it’s like this is just a job for him. It’s still absolutely deplorable, but when it’s that ludicrous, it makes the behavior easier to understand. Rare needs to do something. My disappointment with the state of this system is just immeasurable, I’ve been grinding for months and I still feel like I’m never going to get anywhere with Hourglass, don’t even have Skeleton Curse yet and apparently that’s just the beginning of those cosmetics. Thank you for making a video highlighting this, showing an actual match will make this behavior easier to spot. I will get back on the hourglass grind, keep an eye out for this kind of behavior, and let the sink happen when I see it. Keep up the good content!
@@RevBombRR You can report players. I had video evidence of someone using racial slurs and I reported them on the SoT website resulting in that player getting banned
"I mean, it could be worth it if you want it badly enough. I'm just paying him because I spent 6 seasons doing this stuff and I'm not even Athena 100 yet..."
Me and my crew mate fought them the other day too. They had it all. Aim bot on cannons, insta ladder and quick swap. That hitting skids player doesn’t even try to hide it AND they cheesed even more by using a cannon rowy with the aim bot.
They should just ip ban them so they can't play, how big of a nerd you gotta be that you cheat in a video game, then he says easy ☠️ shows how skilled he was before he started cheating. Lost 20 games, won 1 and realized he was an accident so he started hacking. Never understood what's fun about hacking.
A time limit for the battles would be an easy fix for that. If the fight lasts for more than say 15 minutes then the battle zone becomes red sea and both sides take constant damage until one side sinks. I know some people like long battles but the little xp you get for lasting that long and losing anyway ain't it for me.

Plus, you cant report players for cheating anyway. Theres not an option to report for cheating, so it must be allowed to some degree

@I_Ace_U "Cheating" is not a report option, is what I'm saying
@@RevBombRR Right, because you need video evidence of the cheat and send it on their site. You can't do all that in game.
👉👈he was kinda chill 🥶
I hope you reported the guy getting boosted. He deserves to lose everything he has work for on his account

the "boostee" tried to get us to run brig with him
@@honeybadger_live Bro what? That's crazy haha. He wanted to make friends so he wouldn't get reported

“I’m cranking it” 😏😏😏😏
What a shame that he can just make an alt account to avoid a ban. But to be fair, this is microsofts fault. Not Rares!
The true sad state of PC online gaming, if the servers don't have active admins this is what you get...

Better call John anti-cheat
I think I know where the cheater may be

hg battles last long and i mean hours and they give you so little reputation for it
