Yep. Even Dirk being the Center before has better chances than Powell. Powell is small 3 or 4 at the best but not at 5 position.
The Gafford & Lively side show goes so well with the Luca & Kyrie main event.
It really is a complimentary arrangement for the Mavs. 2 athletic bigs, 2 playmakers. The future is bright with Gafford and Lively catching lobs, then guarding the rim like it's Fort Knox.

Could be. The Mavs certainly have the high flyers to do it with Green, Jones, Jr. Hardy, and P J Washington (who is listed as a "center" on the official roster, for whatever reason), in addition to Gafford and Lively guarding that rim like it's Fort Knox.

The great thing for a Mavs fan to see in this game was us being horrible from the 3pt line, Luka having an off night (still had +14 +-) and winning it with ease while keeping a good scoring team under 100. We need this hustle defense games!

Struggling against spurs and cant even win against Mavs.
Managed to hang around till the 4th and then the offense just disappeared. I don’t get the point of playing CP3 and BP together, both are streaky on offense, and negatives on defense. 6 point deficit went to 18 before Kerr decided to put some size in, and by that time the game was gone. Kerr’s infatuation with Brandon continues.
I think it was more of Klay killing the flow.

Watch this season, too. How many times did Thompson throw in the clutch even though Curryman has more than 70% of ts and the rest of the plant guys have less than 55% of ts? That's why this team lost so much in the clutch. That's all about Steveker's incompetence in pushing Thompson. The decision to sign a contract with Steve Kerr is the worst one ever

I liked the defensive physicality through most of this game.
The Warriors got bullied badly at centre court forcing them to low percentage long jumpers. For every catch and lob Mavs did, Warriors countered with a shoulder shrug.

Not sure Dallas can be a contender, but the fact that Luka and Irving have a solid cast around them to do stuff, it's interesting.
Gatford, Washington, Green, Hardy, Livelly, Exum, Kleber, Hardaway, Jones jr. - and some of these guys will give you good numbers, on extremely highy efficiency.
I think the only teams they can't beat are the Nuggets and the Celtics. They lost twice to the Nuggets, and play them on Sunday. If they win, they got a small chance to actually win the whole thing. If they lose... No chance.

Maybe in 2 or 3 years they will be contenders.. The cast around Luka & Kyrie are solid but they are still building their chemistry and adjusting their teamworks. Keep in mind Gafford, Washington, Lively and Exum didn't even played 40 games for Dallas this season.

Can someone plz tell me what klay is doing? With curry n dray out he had to take control and score. 3/13 shooting in a not so good defensive Dallas team. Do es he think he will get better shots in playoffs against tougher teams. He will be in single digit scores if they ever make it to playoffs. Guaranteed!
Klay used to be able to get his own shot with dribble separation from the defender, it ain't happening anymore. Also, laterally he's in quick sand. Can't guard anyone anymore
