Great video Lee, maybe. Doing a Maiden on mine this weekend. You mentioned 12mm throw for the servo throw. What roll rate shall I put in using Inav? Hopefully I can break away clean 😁
Setup the throws in INAV to give you the movement needed, as mechanical setups for the servo and linkage aren't always the same.. Best of luck with the maiden!
@@Painless360 Thanks mate! The linkages are as per instructions, it's throw gauge I'm interested in 12mm up and down 👍is what I have heard on the grape vine. I didn't want to launch it and have it loop around on me 🙂
Really awesome looking wing, Lee! Great review! 😃 It's always great to have more options! Let's see what they create next! Happy holidays! And stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hi I'm from Swiss and sorry for my English my diatone fly well in manual and acro.... But then I put in stab or any other automatic mode it start pitching up and down I use last inav..... I come from fpv drones and this s my first fw😂😂😂😂
Hah, yeh mine probably has 4 sticks of hot glue in it at this point, a fresh one would be nice 👍 Your original setup values worked great to get it in the air. Roll is nice and snappy, I'm wanting to increase the pitch authority though, trying to sneak up on it. Have you increased any rates since your last setup video on these? 4s 2800kv 45amps on a 5152 is showing 125mph!
@@Painless360 Thanks for the setup post, your experience is invaluable for the newbies like myself. It's running Inav on an f405 with DJI and Crossfire.
Is there a weight difference, or density difference between grey and white foam, or just colour? Some sites state that gray is a higher density material, however no kit weights are given.
@@Painless360 Wow, that good to know. Wonder how density, flexibility compares to foam in AR Pro wing (and eachine wing). It was my impression that darker foam was more impact resistant ... maybe not.
I don't like sharing DIFF files as they only work if the model is setup identically physically and you as the pilot have the same flying in mind (I like these wings to be nimble with higher rates for example). It was setup following all the steps in the INAV 3.0/4.0 plane setup series: ruclips.net/p/PLYsWjANuAm4o34OZd4Z2umSYcgIF222Tm
I heard Michael Jackson had two of these, the HEE-HEE wing.
Thats a horrific Dad joke.
Getting back into wings could be a lot of fun... Gonne get back into wings.
I've ordered the T-1 Ranger. My Ripper R690 was a love/hate relationship. Hopefully this glider type is a bit better 😎🤙
What was it about the wing that was an issue for you?
Looking forward to your content on the Ranger T-01!
Nice overview. Thanks

Throws needed in the video at the start.. 10mm elev and 1tmm ail. worked well here..

Check out my INAV 3.0 setup mini series. Sounds like the control surface movement is way to much..
@@Painless360 ok Thx I will
i feel in love with this wing too bad on the maiden a large gust of wing came knocked it out of the air and its at the top of a pine tree at the field
Sorry to hear that. Best of luck for next time!

Is it manual or using INAV?

Rates as per the maiden video.. Happy flying
Hello! is the white (F01) the original? or both are original and the gray (r690) is the v2? thank you!
I'm not sure. I saw the grey foam first... Happy flying

I don't have an empty grey set to weigh. I can say the gray version snaps easily..

You can have the antenna inside on the Wall.
Watch antenna alignment. See my antenna lab...
@@Painless360 okey
Hi Lee brill video thanks! Do you think this vs the alpha strike, if they both had the same motor, would be quicker? Cheers
Similar speeds. Depends on the weight and drag... happy flying!
@@Painless360 thanks Lee
How slow can it go?
Not very. It is easy to land in a smallish area but it isn't a floater... Happy flying
Whats the name of the lock props? I cannot find it the name, mine lost at crash, and i cannot attch props because of that
Not sure what you mean by 'lock props'. Let me know where in the video they appear and I can take a look..
why servos rods are bent this way ?
to allow rod total length adjustment by pliers, kind of "old school" thing
dear comrade let me diff full yours
