For those who have never sparred before, not letting things tip over into “fight mode” is a real skill in itself and another reason why these sessions are so great. When sparring at your local gym, with your regular crew, theirs an element of trust and acknowledgment of intention that underpins the session. So if someone throws too hard, it’s quickly acknowledged by both parties (“sorry and “all good”), and the tempo is quickly reduced back to “training levels”. You learn which partners have the best control (most sparring experience) and those who don’t (sparring amateurs) and you adjust accordingly (as you develop your own sparring experience). I cant imagine what it would be like to be a pro and doing regular rounds with constantly different Ams, in different locations, across a foreign country (probably why we don’t see similar concepts very often). If I wore a hat, I’d tip it (amazing content, great channel!!!)
I'm happy to see the comments are showing some sense..I have been to the seminars, past and current and watched her closely...she is actually showing great technique that beginner female fighters can learn from.
A serious power teep from my Thai instructor sent me flying once and woke me up from any dream I had had about fighting on stage lol. If you think this is hard, you don't know the real distance between a professional Muay Thai fighter and a normal law abiding citizen.
From a young age (6) my parents let me practice martial arts. I was a huge fan of Muay Thai but at one point in my teenage years I just stopped practicing, I dont even remember why. But damn do I regret that decision right now! I'm 34 now and stiff as hell haha. Would really love to get back into it when I watch these videos.
"Should I wear a mouthguard?" yes, 100 times yes. When in doubt, wear it. Anybody sparring Duangdawnoi need to be wearing a mouthguard. If you don't block that headkick she throws, you might lose a tooth.
Absolutely, even with a guard, your teeth can chip even if the hit is not so hard. At worst, if you forgot it at home, you should try to keep your teeth from clenching.
No one is saying Duang is going hard, this is clearly light sparring, it is just that she always goes slightly harder than her opponents to make sure she's always in control of the pace. Everyone has sparred at least one person like that, its just that they are usually not the instructor.
Not gonna lie. My coach usually goes at this same speed if not harder honestly. However, I think it helps a fighter get better used to shoots coming at them at full speed vs light technical sparring that's more about technique.

Duangdawnoi is not sparing hard, relax guys. She's clearly mindful about the intensity. Western girls that she spars are usually bigger than her, 10 lbs at least and they don't have the best control over the power of their punches, so she needs to output a bit more power to counter their size. But if a girl she spars is same size and goes light, like 4:13 girl, Duangdawnoi adjusts and goes careful too. Watch closely and you will see it.
Guys I personally think Duangdawnoi is not sparring that hard, i watched her real fights. I think it's about serious look and compared to Senchai that makes look that she's sparring at 💯 %.

@@ferrisoscar Sparring should be as light and playful as possible.
