WELL-Done ! 👍🏼👍🏼 For that i-Beam nut next to oil pan, I used a 6pt Box Wrench. Worked Well for me. Adjustable wrenches don’t always ‘hold’ adjustment, and the ‘head’ is too big. ymmv And for your viewers, there is an Easy access to driver’s side shock nut. Rubber floor plug in interior footwell just behind pedals.
No Way!! What a Top-Tip! Almost want to do it all over again just to use the footwell trap door haha. Thanks for the comment, surly someone will find that very useful. 👍
I have a 2000 e150. I did put solid aluminum rims and automotive 60s all around, but no lift anything. I've been told it looks lowered, but no. I bought it new in 2001, but I don't think I'd have the wear with all to tackle what you did. Even back then. I did think about taller coils, but its fine. Just bought new 60s, next time I may go with more off/ on road tires. But they're definitely more noisy for road use and that's about all she does anyway. It does look nice all up like that. More like a 350. And the black rims are cool. I wanted to get chrome bumpers too, but couldn't see spending the money. So I painted um charcoal. Alls well. Good job 👍👍
Thanks! How did the bumpers hold up to the paint? I'm thinking I want to fab some custom bumpers with tow points and maybe a rear swing away. Still don't have a proper spare tire 😬
@@Jbmongold I repainted them when I first bought it. Thought about chrome, but decided why spend the money. So just painted them a dark gray semi gloss, along with the grill and headlight frames. Needs it again but have too many other things to do.
Good eye 👍That was a 9 hole course we made at work. The feet were 2x4s the stem was a floor flange with a black iron pipe, and the basket was a tire with the sidewall trimmed out. Oh I forgot the chain! The chain was made out of chain....not shortcuts for that one haha
@@Jbmongold The first course I helped to build was in Virginia and we used the same kind of basket to start except we used trash can lids for the top and hung the chains for that. Hey they work but you get some funky rolls off the tire bounce.
I just did new coils and added a spacer on coil and new 5100 Bilstein shocks front for 3" xtra 82" height from ground to top roof 33 to 36" ground to fender
Great video, thank you! I have a 2011 E350 with a 3" lift on stock parts. I had to figure it out the components myself because there wasn't much info online when I did it 3 years ago. I have always maintained, a 2WD van can be a very competent overland vehicle if set up right. I am considering the kit you installed, a rear locker and a HD winch to get mine trail ready. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for watching! I've put some miles on and off road on this lift and it gets around just fine. I'm thinking bumpers, winch, rear swing away, and some aux lights. Not sure it's going full camper mode, I like the seating configuration rn, and the ability to haul plywood and lumber. What kind of locker are you thinking?
@@Jbmongold For sure! I honestly haven't done any deep research on the locker but when I owned a jeep, ARB seemed to be the best at the time. I'm sure there are other options out there now but I would probably start there.
GREAT VIDEO! Thanks for sharing your install process,. You can cheat the wheel forward more by putting a spacer in front of the bracket, just make sure you still have a full nit on the backside threads.
Great video man! Thanks for showing the ease of installation and what a little hard work can pull off. I just picked up a E350 extended body 5.4 liter van (several vans in my past always stock running gear, mainly built the insides out for racing motocross etc), very next day lucked into a great deal on a used set of the exact rims i had been planning to use for months of dreaming, and gonna basically break the bank on the Baja Grocery Getter kit next week, and start building. I'll keep checking in on your progress......
Thanks for watching! Yeah, for sure it's a bit of hard work, but I really enjoyed it and the final product is awesome. What are these rims??? What size tire are you going for?
@@Jbmongold Ive been wanting to throw a set of those Black Rhino Armory rims on a truck or van for awhile (utility military look etc), they don't make them for my dually but i got a great deal on a set that came off a 2013 E350 gasser (same as ours) and he had the Baja Kit so same direction etc. Gonna figure out maybe a diy weld it yourself bumper kit and roof rack that wont break my wallet...... then its time to take a month off from society and go camping
Those Black Rhino rims Armory rims are awesome for sure. I really want to fab some bumpers myself, just need to make some time. I think a custom rear with a swing away tire carrier would be first on the list.
@@Jbmongold Yeah getting a full size spare out back with easy access is usually first focus on past builds jeeps, truck etc. i plan to do front bumper with a winch, tire carrier in rear, but also plan for kitchen set up on slide outs at rear and want to be able to fully open my rear doors with some form of a tire carrier, so that might take some planning out

Yes this would be the way to go! Sadly I was too lazy to deconstruct all the parts to back it out and add the shim. Grinder was the quick and dirty way out haha
Thanks! love this kit. It really drives great and I love the stance. I might want to upgrade the rear springs. My kit was blocks only, and the shocks don't have much down travel. Could I sort this out with a taller shackle or add a leaf, or do you think new spring? Next on the list is to fab some bumpers and add some lights. Thanks for the comment!
Hello, the same work was done on my Econoline e350 and I have a problem with the turn bars, can you help me solve it, how do you insist on aligning it?
Hi, I am working on an alignment video and I'm sorry I have not yet uploaded it. However, here is the caster/camber bushing I used from Napa. It did great for my E-150. Let me know if it works! www.napaonline.com/en/search?text=264-1990&referer=v2
Yeah Thanks! The wheels are american racing baja 17x8 and the tires are Falken Wildpeak A/T's. I've always like the simplicity of solid black wheels without any bolts or fake beadlocks.
This looks like a nice kit !!! are you happy with it. It is a pricey kit, but I sometimes you do pay for what you get. And I like it’s made in the USA.
I like it. I’ve put a couple thousand miles on it already and it has good road manners and it’s fun off road. I really don’t notice the missing sway bar either. It was a fun project but a good deal of work. I got the kit with blocks and shock for the rear. I will say the blocks don’t raise it enough for the shocks in the kit. They are 2” from bottoming out at ride height. There is a kit with new rear springs for more money. The kit is pretty pricey but looked like the best 2wd option out there
@@Jbmongold well, it sure gave the van a nice stance. I’m just building E150. This is my second build. Learned a lot what I do need and don’t need on the first one but this van was a conversion van with the high-rise, but she sits low to the ground. Thinking about removing the ground effects on the outside that will give it more clearance.
I'm afraid I don't know exactly which you mean. The I beams connect to the cross member on one side, then a huge bolt running through it and the radius arm on the other side. I used a crescent for the cross member side, and a deep 30mm socket for the long bolt connecting the radius arm and I beam. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

Amazing job man I don't think I would attempt this by myself lol.I have a 2012 e 250 it would look like a beast with this kit .What roof rack is that on your van? Great site keep up the informative videos great work.
Thanks so much!! The roof rack is a Smittybuilt Defender rack. This one in particular is for a jeep but it works with some washers to close the gap. They do make one wider for a van.
I wish I could figure out how people can afford stuff like this. Make 1200 net a week, live in midwest, and still can't even afford a day off let alone 3k for a lift and another 1.2k for wheels/tires... SMH
Right!? But you know what, I am going to make this happen and it is pretty simple actually. I make around $1300 net weekly and I will buy a used ~10k van next spring with a brand new set of tires and used wheels. I will buy a 3” lift kit. The way I am budgeting is that I can afford to put 250/week in a saving account. Will have around 10k in May 2025. I will then sell my Subaru Outback 2013 for around 5k and will get a 5k loan from my bank. My plan is to build a 4 season home in that van and got back travelling full time as I used to do. Will have a budget of 20k next summer to do everything and I just started saving up a month ago. (i do have an emergency fund also and put some every week). No stupid payments on anything and no debt!
Well this is not something I do professionally. I try to fix or fabricate anything I can to save a little money and probably just because it fascinates me. Sorry I can’t help beyond that
I think they're weld only. On my E-150 the rear climate control lines are tucked in the frame behind the bracket. This would make it very difficult to run a bolt through the frame without coming into contact with these lines.
it is nice to watch a common person do this at home and keep it real.
