first time I have ever heard an orchestral version of Iron Maidens wasted years, that was pretty cool..wahoo.. the Hawaiian name for delicious.. great video..
Your video's are badass. the clarity is unreal . Reminds me of me and the old man back home in Hawai'i diving. Keep doing what you do. Oh by the way the music for your video's are righteous. Mahalo
Haa yeah no offense taken bro. I have heard that about FL. The bull sharks on this trip were few and very relaxed. The majority of the sharks were Duskys and hammer heads, the duskys were pesky but the hammers kept there distance and were just cool to see. Thanks for the comment, good luck on your trip and dive safe.
Thanks, it was a 50' floatline shackled to a 50' bungee. 100' total not including 3 wraps of mono and shaft....they are wicked fast! Good luck out there.
are there services you can charted (like deep sea fishing) that can let you do this? is it really hard if your a decent snorkeler already? where in the gulf was this...wanta try it so bad (not to mention the eating!
haha fair enough. I have not shot any wahoos yet. Basically everything but Wahoos, hopefully going on a trip to Kenya for Tuna... Anyway I made that comment because I spent two years in FL, Palm Beach and the sharks there were a big pain. Too many bull sharks, everywhere!
what was the cd for around 3:20, a reflective distraction to bring in fish or somethin, and is it really that effective? oh n how many dat kine you bring on your trips??
you use one old cd as a flasher to attract the amberjacks? and from what i see it works... i was thinking about hanging about 50 of the on my float... will that do the trick?
Nice, instrumental Iron Maiden Wasted Years starting at 5:10. I don't know if this guy is nuts or fearless or both. The moment I saw a shark in the water I would have been out of there, let alone holding a bleeding fish. Wow.
Great video, I enjoyed it. How long is your floating line. It looked like a fifty footer unless they were just running it out so fast! I'm getting ready to chase after the wahoo this fall.
Lol, even after he notices the sharks after his wahoo he goes after it. He was thinkin one of three things This is bad... real bad! Maybe they'll leave me alone... or my favorite... Get yo own god dam fish! This is mine! As he races after it. Lol this is awesome.
Good work boys! I had a bull shark get real interested in me last month after an Amberjack I speared pulled the spear. It aint no joke when a shark comes on you at depth.
Great video. You are a brave man. I don't know much about spearfishing but just asking if you can kill the fish in a more respectable manner? (just asking) or does the situation call that it is done in that manner?
lol weirdest song pairing ever Rhythm is a Dancer by Snap? followed by a strings version of Wasted Years by Iron Maiden Cool video. That was a little hairy for a while there when the first catch was struggling in the water and the sharks were interested.
its a buoy, kinda like a miniature version of Jaws, you let the fish take it down because they are to strong to hold onto and it will eventually come back to the suface when the fish tires out!
Fish are cold blooded, which means they don't really feel pain. Sure, they can feel that something is wrong when they've got a spear through them, but it doesen't "hurt" :)
Do reptiles fall under this also? I am just interested if you had a link to an article, etc. explaining why this is so....cold blooded = don't feel pain. Thanks
started watching video after 10 seconds paused it and muted then opened another page and let jen titus o death play wth sound while watching this video. awesome
Haa, I Dont know if you've ever shot a Wahoo before but they are wicked fast and strong. An 80 lb fish that swims 60+ mph is wicked tough to just swim down and grab....especially when my bungee stretches to 150'. Not Nasty Sharks, but "real" enough to bite those big hoos in half. Luckily I only lost one fish and shaft setup to the sharks.
f'kn insane kyle, you're definitely one of my favorite spearos to watch for sure. well done mate
Checked out a couple of your video's this morning. Keep them coming!
i think the song is awesome haha good video...
Haven't seen this in a while. AWESOME... loved watching it again. The music is great! Mom
first time I have ever heard an orchestral version of Iron Maidens wasted years, that was pretty cool..wahoo.. the Hawaiian name for delicious.. great video..
you know what the best part of this video was? when you waved at the shark lmao. nice vid
I like the way you draw them in with a CD
Very cool footage, guys!
You have the biggest balls for braving them sharks, I run when they show up. Live long.
wasted years, awesome song, awesome video
dude, nice video! i spearfish for grouper, and snapper, but i fish for wahoo.... never thought of spearing one!
The point is great fish to eat! Excellent video guys.
shoo-shark shoo. haha i could see you thinking that when you waved off the shark
Grelt video - the spark part especially
Its a CD we use them as a cheap flasher for bluewater. Very reflective and the way it spins underwater attracts the fish
Holy hell. You guys are fearless.
Cool music!!!
Sick vid Kyle
it is a well known fact this song attracts fish while wielding a spear.
Your video's are badass. the clarity is unreal . Reminds me of me and the old man back home in Hawai'i diving. Keep doing what you do. Oh by the way the music for your video's are righteous. Mahalo
Every time I find a badass spearfishing video on youtube Cameron Kirkconnell is in it..
Haa yeah no offense taken bro. I have heard that about FL. waaaw you have done a great job i have a question please what was the use of the cd that you throw at some point??
Thank you sir!
Sick vid dude!!
Thanks, it was a 50' floatline shackled to a 50' bungee. 100' total not including 3 wraps of mono and shaft....they are wicked fast! Good luck out there.
Amazing. The only word that came to mind
Its used as a flasher! Cheap, very shiny and sinks at a great rate. Attracts the passing fish in for a closer shot!
That REALLY Escalated quickly
hey man great video which wong is that and what setup do you have on it?
Amazing!
very nice music
Good video!!
thats awesome how well does it work
Extra ordinary video.I admire you mate.Happy new year...
i play this track now to and it does attract wahoo.
i'd be outa the water so fast as soon as i saw the first shark
Awesome!
sick vid...btw what buried ur float in the beggining?
are there services you can charted (like deep sea fishing) that can let you do this?
is it really hard if your a decent snorkeler already?
where in the gulf was this...wanta try it so bad (not to mention the eating!

those were some well behaved sharks man. curious as hell but well behaved.
Look at all those curious amberjack
This song is epic.
what was the cd for around 3:20, a reflective distraction to bring in fish or somethin, and is it really that effective? oh n how many dat kine you bring on your trips??
I thought i was the only one with a."SNAP" cassette ha ha ha.
you use one old cd as a flasher to attract the amberjacks? and from what i see it works... i was thinking about hanging about 50 of the on my float... will that do the trick?
Could you tell me please how weight are generally the fishes for being able to put down the float?
Looks like you guys scored some great looking fillets for the BBQ. I'll fire up the grill and supply the brew.
Great hunting.
These guys are the bravest people that I've ever seen
Love the Iron Maiden song at the end. Wasted years its called
Hey how do you keep your kayak to stay put? like what kind of set up do you have? I have a simple set up but it's only good for 30 ft
Nice, instrumental Iron Maiden Wasted Years starting at 5:10. I don't know if this guy is nuts or fearless or both. The moment I saw a shark in the water I would have been out of there, let alone holding a bleeding fish. Wow.
Hey guys, great footage well done. One question, looks like a huge catch, what do you do with all the fish?
Cheers.
love the music, clip, fish, visibility and everything kyle. good fishing where was that?
Great video, I enjoyed it. How long is your floating line. It looked like a fifty footer unless they were just running it out so fast! I'm getting ready to chase after the wahoo this fall.
Great video. I felt tension right here behind by computer monitor. This spear fishing has got to release some adrenalin.
Lol, even after he notices the sharks after his wahoo he goes after it. He was thinkin one of three things
This is bad... real bad!
Maybe they'll leave me alone...
or my favorite...
Get yo own god dam fish! This is mine!
As he races after it. Lol this is awesome.
Awesome video! Where do you guys launch from, and how far out? Water was really blue, so I'd guess 60 miles or so. Am I close? lol
nicely done gents!
The CD trick was cool
Nice quarry gentlemen!
Good work boys! I had a bull shark get real interested in me last month after an Amberjack I speared pulled the spear. It aint no joke when a shark comes on you at depth.
Ha thanks man, just a really good trip!
wow...very nice guys!!!
Uh ... wow! Now that is hands on fishing.
exelente video
Fish get curious and start approaching around the cd
nice......true men!,,,,,thx 4 the gr8 video
I'm always happy to see US spearo FREEDIVERS !! WELL DONE GUYS
Great video, and good shootin'! Looks like you were the most efficient predator in the sea that day.
It is a Daryl Wong 65" Super Mag.......I never leave home without one ;)
Great video. You are a brave man. I don't know much about spearfishing but just asking if you can kill the fish in a more respectable manner? (just asking) or does the situation call that it is done in that manner?
sharks react to the nerves and heartbeat of the fish the blood really doesnt atract them all crazy like movies
Its the only one pf four songs o tried that didn't get blocked...probably because it has been remixed so many times.
Ha yeah started @ 45-50 miles and worked up current edges of rigs some times 200-500 yds
lol weirdest song pairing ever
Rhythm is a Dancer by Snap? followed by a strings version of Wasted Years by Iron Maiden
Cool video. That was a little hairy for a while there when the first catch was struggling in the water and the sharks were interested.
Over the top Excitement. Water temp must have 60 deg., cold enough to slow many sharks down. Did they ever challenge for you for a wahoo snack?
Ain't no shark taking MY dinner!
its a buoy, kinda like a miniature version of Jaws, you let the fish take it down because they are to strong to hold onto and it will eventually come back to the suface when the fish tires out!
Because the Gulf states are stuck in the 90's, which was a wonderful fucking time, so thats why everyone visits. Enjoy the music.
interesting looking gun you've got there
Hey, where were u when u shot this like how far out? what region etc.?
Fish are cold blooded, which means they don't really feel pain. Sure, they can feel that something is wrong when they've got a spear through them, but it doesen't "hurt" :)
Do reptiles fall under this also? I am just interested if you had a link to an article, etc. explaining why this is so....cold blooded = don't feel pain. Thanks
where is that? are you far away from the coast?
awesome video!
preaty spearfishin` gun and good fish! congratulations. i'm writing form Mérida ,Yucatán, Mexico
started watching video after 10 seconds paused it and muted then opened another page and let jen titus o death play wth sound while watching this video. awesome
very cool- no fear when the sharks come around though?
Did not appreciate just how complete spearfishing is in ticking off the checklist of how to attract a shark to you.
LMAO 3:14 lets chuck them a CD and see if they will do a dub mix for us! Great day out, some wicked fish!
lovely chatch, i don't think i would have stayed in the water with so many shark trying to take your pray. but well done ball of steel
Awesome

Did I hear a string quartet playing Iron Maiden's Wasted Years?
what part off the gulf was this??

"Pesky sharks?" They aren't flies! Take care of my son Kyle!
