*GASP* how have I not come across this cover before NOW?!?! ugh...getting married, having three little ones and being chronically and terminally ill is NO excuse..shame on me.. this is GORGEOUS..one of my fave songs, by one of my fave bands..
I'll be honest, you're right there. Straight up, you're totally right. Something about trying to make it sound "happy" but be all goth and dark and stuff... yeah, I agree.
Oh, such memories with this song. I used to lay outside on my back in the rain, listening to this... with my eyes closed. Nothing but me and the rain, falling down... washing away all else. Such beauty.
@hatever Eurythmics is the original band. This is the only cover of it I've heard that keeps the original feel while using a different bands style. Cruxshadows (and Eurythmics) rock.
The fact is that I first discovered this one and after that the original by Eurithmics. Both of them are great and the sound I prefere the most depends on the mood I have the day I hear them. A great song and a great cover by two fantastic bands!
24, actually. But "Here comes the rain again" is not one of the most mainstream songs by Eurithmics (at least in Spain I don't remember hearing it on the radio ever). When I discovered the original through "The Cruxshadows" cover it was shocking for me not to know this great song by Eurithmics. How old are you Sally Sturmzeit? I bet around 30, isn't it?
hm, many people here disliking the song. i think they did realy good on putting their own thing into it while still keeping the feel of the original. but thats just me =)
@Mises von Camus I think I’ll have to agree with you. When I first heard about The Crüxshadows, I could tell that Bauhaus and Peter Murphy’s solo career might’ve been a huge influence, along with some influence of Sisters of Mercy and Love Spirals Downwards. Love CXS, always will 🖤
much better than hearing Anne Lennox 1 more Fucking time! The Eurythmics version is still over played on the radio here in the States like Soft Cell's Tainted Love which is done much better by Coil and Marilyn Manson! I usually prefer covers this is Brillant😘
Sorry I love goth and Cruxshadows are ok sometimes but this is a bad cover. The verses are ok with his signature voice in the night sound, but the violin is too detached from the rest of the songs sounds and I don't like how this has the little waterdrop "ding, ding ding...ding ding ding ding sound and the chorus is horrible. Eurythmics version at least had the chorus be the best awaiting part. Apart from this cover, something about Cruxshadows many songs have a certain unpolished unprofessionally produced sound in their songs I don't like and many sound effects or certain keys and melodies that sound off as well as when Rogue does far away effects with his voice at times and his many Sss lisps in all his songs. Other then that there is some songs I like from the Cruxshadows. But the countless skipper tracks in the albums that sound the same in tempo and verses are just fillers when they have it in them to make good songs like: Bloodline Children in black Sympathy for Tomorrow Satellite Monsters Cruelty Heavens Gaze (Bitter Tears Mix) Deception Dying song Even angels fall Confusion Leave me alone Sinking Spectators Tears Go away Return Waiting to leave Fortress Untrue (Trevor Brown Remix) Ariadne etc
When you go to cover such an iconic song like this, best make it epic ! They sure deliver on that here!
"Sometimes I just need you to hold me"
Thank you cruxshadows!

Amy Echols: terminally ill? It's been 3 years are you still with us?
@@wadeguidry6675 rip
@@sirprize5191 that's so sad. RIP Amy
Even though I have never met you, I really hope you are okay... Please if you are able, let us know. ~hug~
It's very sad reading your post..
I wonder is she still alive. Such precious tragedy we are here so brief and like a candle dancing in the wind our light is blown out far too soon.
An amazing band and super nice.
From my home state of florida.
I love this cover so much, i wish this was on Spotify, i'd play it every night
I had to hunt this cover up and who it was. I loved this in high school.
I'll be honest, you're right there. Straight up, you're totally right. Something about trying to make it sound "happy" but be all goth and dark and stuff... yeah, I agree.
My favorite version 🌧️

Cruxshadows (and Eurythmics) rock.
I wanna wanna see the stars. As they say.
I´m not a friend of cover versions, but this here is very cool !!!
Beautiful cover.
How covers should be done IMO - put your own stamp on it, rather than trying too hard to just replicate the original
Here comes the kitty again.
I love this version
love it!!
muito perfeito *-*
Love this song. A lot.
Thank you sooooo much :+
I prefer this version !
Une excellente version de la chanson d'Eurythmics, qui gagne en intensité, j'adore
Seriously? Interrupted by a Twix commercial? WTF is THAT?
is anyone gonna point out the use of the Roland percussion number 45 as the snare for this?

omg you must be 10 years old..

26 and I would say that Here comes the rain again was pretty commercial but ok
@@SucuboSadica but not in every country
You know I actually like this version more than the Eurythmics'.
@Shannonluvsmooses
Same as me. Someone introduced me to them.
Good

I want to kitty like kittys do.
not going to lie, I like this version better than the original (sorry Eurythmics 😅)
The singer isn't from Bauhaus is he; the flatting of note is very similar especially not used for goth effect.
Definitely not Peter Murphy but I imagine he was a huge influence on Cruxshadows.

Eurythmics

Well I like this, but I prefer the Eurythmics . I guess I am just use to the original.
+Teresa Maddox I like it too, but I prefer Eurythmics
I prefer the original version when Eurythmics sang it.
