Hey Robert, would you make a video commenting on what activities and incomes are actually taxed under Title 26? There is a lot of interesting stuff to unpack when you start reading the definitions for the terms used in this Title (basically, most incomes are not taxable, and most peoples wages are $0)

Question: why not just have a flat rate for everybody? Seems less needlessly complex

The current system, only 40% of taxpayers pay federal tax. The 60% that don't pay taxes like the current system better than flat tax

Help me understand why you seem to value (want to adheretp ) what the "founding fathers" thought and intended 250 years ago?

The founding fathers of the United States of America provided the principles that have shaped the country's governance and ethos. The founding fathers principles are responsible for the strongest economy, the freest people and the best fighting forces the world has ever seen. Among the most significant are:
      1. **Liberty and Individual Rights**: The founding fathers emphasized the importance of individual liberty and rights, which are enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They advocated for the protection of individual freedoms and the idea that government should not infringe upon these rights.
      2. **Democracy and Representation**: They stressed the importance of a government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. The idea that government should be representative and accountable to its citizens is a core principle established by the founding fathers.
      3. **Separation of Powers**: To prevent the concentration of power and protect individual rights, the founding fathers established a system of checks and balances within the government, dividing it into three branches: the legislative, the executive, and the judicial. This structure is meant to ensure that no single branch becomes too powerful.
      4. **Federalism**: The founding fathers created a system where power is shared between the national (federal) government and the state governments. This balance of power was intended to prevent either the national or state governments from becoming too powerful and encroaching on the rights of individuals.
      5. **The Rule of Law**: They asserted that the law applies equally to everyone, including those who govern. This principle is fundamental to the American legal system and ensures that leaders cannot act arbitrarily and are subject to the same laws as the citizens.
      6. **Equality**: While the application of this principle was far from perfect and did not initially include all people (e.g., women, enslaved people), the idea that all men are created equal is a cornerstone of American values and has guided the country's evolution towards greater inclusivity and equality over time.
      7. **The Importance of Civic Responsibility**: The founding fathers believed in the importance of civic engagement and the responsibility of citizens to participate in their government, stay informed on public issues, and contribute to the common good.
These principles have had a profound impact on the development of the United States and continue to influence its political and social fabric. For a taste of countries that didn’t have founding fathers with strong principles I suggest you move to China, North Korea, Cuba, Haiti or the Soviet Union.

People earning a lot still need to contribute more. Even with that much taxes they get enough to STAY millionaires or billionaires. I don't think this is a bad thing for them to pay more.

Men are not angels; that's why we need a government. The government is only effective at a few things, protecting us from foreign threats and providing a court system and a police force. Early in the 20th century, charities provided most of the help to those in need. The citizens who work for charities are motivated, care deeply, and are very effective at providing aid to those in need. Unfortunately, when the government started helping those in need, bureaucrats created a system that was inefficient, complicated, and usually made things worse. Once the government became involved in programs meant to help those in need, charities stopped or cut back on their support offerings. We need to get back to a system where charities supported by the government aid people, not the other way around.

The most important thing in this country is freedom and liberty. People who don’t believe this would probably be happier living in Russia, China, or Haiti.
