Got a great tip from Charles Rush. In the video I am showing removing all of the screws on the disk. Charles pointed out that you only need to remove 3 of the 6 as long as they line up with the disc removal tool's holes.
Hi, I've tried this service operation including cleaning inside without result. When I lean to the left, the sound and vibration stops. When I lean to the right the magnets hit the coils inside the freewheel. Do I need to change the bearings?
Hi Kjell, It doesn't sound like changing the bearings will resolve your issue, since the bearing housing would be the same. What appears to be happening is the axel and disc aren't set right and there is some play which allows for movement. I think what you're going to have to do is contact Tacx direct and talk to their technicians to see if they can help you resolve it. They may even want you to send the trainer in. You can also post to the Tacx FB group to see if anyone else has had that issue and how they resolved it. facebook.com/groups/TacxNeoOwners/
I like to use Phil wood waterproof grease (amzn.to/32C9Gbi) for all my bike parts. I currently have the Wahoo Bike and I greased all the parts to it. I have had the tube for years and it still seems good.
@@GearMashers Thank you. Turns out there is a new(and free) disc extractor tool specifically for the Neo 2T. Hope they make that more apparent in the future.
I tried to find out on the Tacx site and it doesn't appear they have the specifications. Since Garmin purchased Tacx, the support is now handled by them. support.garmin.com/en-US/. You can email Garmin, but they might not get back until after the holidays. My contact there is on vacation.

you can do that with the cassette still on the freehub too.
Not sure if Neo 2 is different to Neo, but I don’t need to take the cassette off my Neo 2 to get the free hub off….

I ordered a disc extractor tool, but it doesn't slide onto the shaft?
I am not sure. I didn't have that issue. I would contact Tacx Support to see what they say.

@@yannickokpara4861 Good to know. I haven't tested out the Neo 2 yet. Still riding on the original NEO.
At 11.03, what is the recommended tightening torque please ?
