Hope you are enjoying São Paulo! I am brazilian, born in São Paulo and going to Montréal on november 27th for an exchange program. Thanks for sharing your experiences in the city, wish you the best in Brazil.
I'm from Sao Paulo, Brazil living in Montréal since 2021, it's Interesting to know you're going to Brazil, have a nice and safe trip Dan! Pay attention on your tech equipments ouside in the streets, but above of all make a lot of friends over there cause brazilians are very welcoming friendly people! 😁🇧🇷
6:02 your backpack seems to have a luggage passthrough… its the nylon strap connected to the “tenba” tag not sure why you’re still using the straps to tie it down 😅
Nice video, hope you’re having a good time. My longest flight was from Tokyo to Toronto connecting to Montreal which was around 12 hours of travelling also in Air Canada. We left during a typhoon so it was a scary take off but our 777 handled it well. . Anyway, happy traveling.
Dan! Your video regarding the big mall in Montreal and it's opening just came up on my feet about 30 minutes ago so I'm searching to your channel. Love this video thank you so much for posting I'm gonna follow you on your travels! P s... Melantonian works for short period of time you will have to increase the doses as you go along depending on your metabolism... You may max out so use it sparingly.
Safe travels Dan. I’d recommend experiencing Iguazu Falls if you travel towards Argentina. It’s a breathtaking slice of nature as is all of Brazil. Looking forward to seeing your SA adventures ;) Enjoy it all bro.!!! Respect
For a 10 hour flight I sure hope they serve two meals...one for a late supper and a little breakfast. I was on a British airways to London (not even 6 hours) and we got two meals! I have friends from Ubatuba Brazil, apparantly a nice place with beautiful beaches!
It’s always exciting to travel again. I’m sure you’ll love Brazil and fall in love with Brazilians; they're friendly, fun, very kind...🤪💕 There are amazing places about 4 hours from Sao Paulo, I recommend you visit: - Paraty - Trindade - Cepilho - Praia de Fora - Praia do Cachadaço - Praia do Meio
Thanks for sharing, Dan. Looks like a fun place you're about to visit! The longest flight I ever took was about 20 hours, from Montreal to SE Asia. Not fun, unless you pony up for business class or higher.
I’m a foot shorter than you, Dan and plane travel is uncomfortable for me, so I can’t even imagine how miserable it is for you! But… the excitement in your voice and on your face were priceless - definitely in your happy zone. Good for you, sir! BTW my longest flight so far has been 10 hours
There are multiple museums and nice places to go in São Paulo. Do not miss the Liberdade neighborhood, the museum of the Portuguese language and the Avenida Paulista (Paulista Avenue). There are a lot of things to learn about Brazilian history and geography over there. Enjoy!
The longest flight I've ever taken was also Canada to São Paulo. After a shorter flight from Denver to Toronto, I had a eight-hour layover before continuing onto Brazil. I believe my flight was also about ten hours. It was overnight; they served dinner an hour or so after takeoff, and breakfast an hour or two before landing.
You did well skipping public transit. The train to the city centre from the airport now leaves every hour instead of every 30 minutes. I took it last time because i had time to kill and it only costs 5 reais.
Hi Dan! I live in Montreal but I am from São Paulo! If you need to ask someone anything about how things work there or I don't know, just reach out! Excited to watch your adventures in my land of origin 😄
Thanks Talita, I appreciate it! I did a story on instagram asking Brazilians for advice on Sao Paulo and already got a few great replies. But feel free to send a msg if you have suggestions, obrigado :) instagram.com/thenewtravel/
Maybe I miss the part, but have you got any questions/problems in Montreal or São Paulo about flying on one way tickets? I know for having done a few times that airlines usually don’t like it much and sometimes they make sure you have a flight to leave the country.
A word of advice: Don’t be complacent about Covid. You may be relatively safe going maskless in many places, airports are not one of them. No one is masking, and you’ll feel odd being one of very few, but don’t risk a getting a needless PIA illness during or after your trip! Have a great time but take care.
Looks like my last comment was deleted. It's possible youtube doesn't allow comments that include an email address. Since I don't have your email I left mine in the comments. This time I won't. Dan I'm in Sao Paulo. I've lived here for the past 21 months. And I've been to quite a few Brazilian cities. If you're up for meeting for lunch or dinner in the coming days please let me know how to reach you. Thanks!
This is not as advertised. Instead you actually show the flight for approx 5 minutes and the rest is about you telling us stuff we already know. People on RUclips want more of the whole flight, greeting, seating, eating and drinking and sleeping and washroom cleanliness.

Have a nice meal and a drink!
Thanks Ed! I will put this to use tonight in Sao Paulo 😄

The longest flight is New York to Istanbul on Delta.
Is it true that when canadians fly to the U.S. the american imigration is made inside the canadian airports? Hope you liked Brazil!

Go to Salvador, tne most interesting city in Brazil.
You said 11 hours of flight ✈️ but it's a 10-hour flight ✈️ because of 1 hour time difference.

What happened to your “I’ll never fly AirCanada again” adoration of Porter and Westjet? guess they weren’t flying to SouthAmerica this day.
Lmao i was the one who defuelled this plane. It was supposed to go to Saoul

I am not quite sure the video was meant for you, this is not a general flight review channel
Beautiful video! We'd liked to collaborate with you. How can we get in touch with you?
