This seems like a cash grab kind of game.
All mobile games want your money if u look at it that way every game is a cash grab especially all the live service slop that comes out today.
It seems pretty nice to free to play players... might struggle in battles tho.

Its just a streamlined version of the tcg which already is begging for your money.
The game seems fantastic to me personally. I’ve played almost all of the mobile tcg games and the fact you can only run 2 of each card makes deck building alot easier than let’s say Shadowverse, Duel links Hearthstone. You don’t even need to put EX’s in your decks to win though they are obviously the strongest cards. I saw a Nidoran deck that uses Nidoking and Nidoqueen and won against top tier decks. I’m sure people will also come up with really strong free to play decks as well for the people who can’t spend or don’t want to spend.

Meh, i tried it for a couple of days, first day cool, second day start the boriness, after you get the pve battle (who give you a lot xp, to level up, that means at least you can open 1 pack without wait) and complete a bunch of mission (to give other ... damn i don't know the word in english, well traslate from italian the word "clessidra", to open pack without wait) there's not much to do, pvp match if you win give you only 15 xp (opening a pack give you 25), and if you lose you don't get any xp, so yes, kinda mid app.

Pokemon pocket is fully of predatory practices for mobile games. I hate that content creators are really pushing this on the Pokemon TCG community. I'm going to write a bot to auto login and claim free packs on multiple accounts and put it out for free just to crash the market on this game when trading comes out
Accordingly, trade can only be made with cards of same rarity. besides, this content creator has bought these cards to be able to build viable decks for gameplay.
@@thinkinginsideout4053 no one knows how trade will work yet, and what would be the point of trading only cards of the same rarity in a game whose supposed main focus is collecting? Besides all that, even if you're right you can still trade non desirable rares for the good ones :)

This is complete BS. you should get at the very minimum 1 ex or better per pack. This is a digital collection it has 0 value.its just collectible pictures on a phone

@jev1620 Sure, but advocating for a multi-billion dollar company who "rapes" consumers on prices pretty regularly probably doesn't need to make a digital game that can cost more than a gaming console. The 2 packs per day you get for free doesn't help you enjoy the game, most people who want to be competitive are going to have to spend money. If a console game is roughly $60-70 and provides 40-60 hours of value. Spending upwards of 500+ and still not completing the collection is egregious
These are not physical cards you can put in binders to keep. If the game goes down you lose those digital assets forever

I'm trying to understand how the game maker intend the game to be. Here is the thing. I would spend money here if the virtual cards have decent value and can be bought and sold. But since they said you get 2 free packs a day that will destroy any value the cards would have had. Maybe 2 free packs a day isn't terrible for 1 person. But then you will have people who do multiple accounts on multiple phones. We are talking people with 3-7 phones/accounts getting 2 free packs a day x3-7 times per day... Some people may even go harder... So with that. We are now looking at this as having no value. You will put money on and get nothing back... No thanks I don't like throwing away my money. The correct way is to take out the free packs. And there we go problem solved. No free packs at all in the game. Then we can have value both in game and outside of game
x3-7 phones playing that much a day is huge engagement... In app purchases, ad revenues and just general pokemon brand raising will make money overall for the company

how are you people playing Pocket already? It was only released in New Zealand. Unless you are jailbreaking your phone and manipulating your location which ain't legal btw, you can't be playing TCG Pocket yet. It is only scheduled for global release late next month. You are violating the law unless you are physically located in New Zealand.
