He is a beauty, Jim I meant to congratulate you on how you handled the citation when lady fell you handled it so great and the horses where great well trained 👍
New horse name suggestion. I remember Jim saying he liked one syllable names. Draft people tend to name their horses simple people names. So how about John. It sounds different from any of the other horses names so he might not get it confused if Jim talks to him specifically.
He's a beauty. Looks like you're going to have your hands full with that stud for a little while until he settles down. Maybe you could buy at least one Suffolk Punch mare that is unrelated to this horse to make a team with him. They're such a rare breed. I hate to see their numbers diminished by breeding crossbreds.
Great video, and a great stallion, might I suggest “Baron” as a possible name, it fits with Duke and Earl as titles which are granted here in the UK by the monarch. Whatever you decide, he looks like a great example of the breed. Best wishes.
Aren't you thankful that you live out in the country away from all the hassles of traffic and the mess of city life? IT"s so good to have you post these videos for us to enjoy>>>>>>>>>>THANK YOU!!
Oh boy! He is beautiful … but better Jim than me, lol. He’s going to be a handful compared to his brothers, but I’m sure Jim will do great with him. Jim sure does look happy about this new challenge. Great!!! I have to say I’m not surprised that he broke out of that stall. Not stallion-proof at all. I think Jim has gotten so used to his perfect horses. 😀. This one is going to be a whole new ballgame. He’s a nice horse, but this one is truly a stallion. Once they start breeding, they change. Ken is going to straighten him out though. lol. Those older horses can teach the youngsters a lot. Those little Ken/Barney squabbles are nothing compared to some of the introductions I’ve been through with horses. “This is going to be interesting!” Per Jim. Looking forward to watching more about this adventure.
The new stallion is magnificent! I hope you'll keep his mane and let the rubbed-out bits grow back. :) Since the other Suffolk Punches are Duke(?) and Earl, how about Baron to continue the aristocratic theme?
Our neighbor 6 miles away had a stallion who would go through numerous tied gates to get to our mare. The only problem was they noticed it right away and came as nd got him. Never got a colt from him. 😥 How about King for a name? Don't worry about the girls taking care of him. Did you notice how he calmed down when that pretty girl petted him?
☘️🇮🇪🇺🇸 ABSOLUTELY, that’s exactly what my grandfather taught me, about horses on the 2yrs! Absolutely they need to decide who’s the boss and then the world will be wonderful, any animal. Well I’d be honored if you’d considered Jackieone of my grandfather’s favorite & most beloved horses .
Mamma Mia !!!...... Barney is beautiful. Wow ! I think I could watch him prance for a very long time. Jim, he does have a beautiful neck. Barney's conformation is all that I find magnificent. That he is loving getting petted, closes the likeness deal for me. I don't want to be an equestrian snob but, ~~~~~~~~I guess I am. I hope now that he is with you, he gets your and Brenda's niceness spirit through your vibes and grows to love all your other critters. Abby, I did the same thing when I was about your age. Good for you!!! It feels soooooo good to have ownership of a home that you can make yours. It's different training between draft horses and riding workhorses. Having 3 young horses to harness train will be a great stage for your horsemanship. You've made your channel more interesting ... again. Thanks, folks.
My vote for a new name for the Suffolk stallion is John. It has a distinct, short sound different than your other horses. It also does not sound similar to any of your working commands. What a beautiful addition to your farm! Congratulations!
Was surprised how abrupt your introduction of Barney was to the Blacks. He almost bolted going through the door to the water tank. I'm no expert but I saw how he reacted. He is beautiful and has a great personality showing already. Keep the videos coming and hope the girls hide your clippers when you start feeling like a barber. Colts look good with their hair. 👍👍

He looks like a nice stallion. Draft horses seem to be calmer as stallions than the typical lighter horse breeds. We used to breed and raise registered Paint horses and owned two different stallions. They were quite calm. The second stallion was very calm and easy to be around unless you were breeding him. Barney looks like a "Ben" to me.
Hi Jim & Brenda what a beautiful stallion, will enjoy watching his progress with you. We’ve subscribed to Abby’s channel and also looking forward to watching her progress as well (try not to overwork her in the saw mill!).😂

Very nice colt Jim and brenda my stallion was Charlie boy he was calm and very affectionate to people and every year I used to drive him in vardo which is a travel caravan from the farm in Halifax to Cumbria in Northumberland England which is 91 mills there and 91 mi back over 4 weeks in June for a horse fair in Appleby Northumberland can't wait to see how he gets on stay safe from Halifax England
i jim and brenda, i just wrote gabby a book long letter, so i'll keep this short. nice new horse, we had a stallion at school, but had o geld it because it was for teaching horse handling. good luck, keep up the good work john
"Congrats...a gorgeous hunk of horseflesh! " Isn't that how horse people talk? Hahahaha.....I would not know. I am the horse woman you and Brenda allow me to me when I watch your videos and that is enough for me at 83! I certainly will sign up with Abby and wish her only the very best! Thank you!
He is very nice looking Jim. You are smart to go ahead and geld the boys. Good hard work might take some of that spunk out of the three year old. Thank you for sharing.🐴
Printaboul = Gaëtan (Quebec city) (may 29th 2024) I went back to this video ... and I sure liked to see buck with Ken ... I like the sight the were giving us.
Great video once again. Good looking stallion. Enjoyed Ken and Buck squatting to grab that load and bring out the pole wood. Also great shot looking over their backs coming into the open. Good decision having Brenda help with videoing. Good luck to Abby and her fixer upper. I had that very experience when I was 21. Great experience.
Was so excited to see him and then for Lady to be bred w such a gorgeous stud!! Beautiful babies she will have💕💕💕. For the name, I choose “Zeus”. It fits his personality. I can’t wait to follow along w Abbey and her “new” house!

Hello 👋 carol
How are you doing?
Beautiful addition to the farm!
Thank you!
I hope the horses accept the new resident
Oh yeah, he's gonna be a handful. Fun times!
He is very nice looking Jim. You are smart to go ahead and geld the boys. Good hard work might take some of that spunk out of the three year old. Thank you for sharing.🐴

I went back to this video ... and I sure liked to see buck with Ken ... I like the sight the were giving us.
Nice looking horse. Enjoyed video, looking forward to watching their training.
Now we get to watch you build another stall
Your new stallion has a beautiful gait and great body form.
My vote for a name is Baron.
Cheers,
Whipple
Hi I’m Maria from LA. How are you doing. Looking for a new friend okay 😊
you can sure tell he is a brother.. Very nice horse Jim and Brenda. I like the name Magic. I am sure he will have some
Great video once again.
Abby- just subscribed to your channel- best of luck and God Bless
Barney is the Ticket !!!!! Absolutely beautiful ! Can’t wait to see him work !!!!
Nice new horse. All animals need to work out the pecking order when a new one is introduced.
He's so beautiful! Congrats!
