Arya/Tywin interactions some of my favorite scenes
Josh S me too! 😄
Best parts of season 2.
Tywin is thinking, THIS is the daughter he wishes he had instead of the evil beast!
Agreed
They never even met in the books! This entire stretch happed w a different character in the books.. at least.. I’ve been told that a whole bunch, I’ve yet to get into the books myself 🤷🏻♀️
Robert Baratheon to Ned, about Sansa and Sansa's direwolf Lady, Season 1: "A direwolf is no pet. Get her a dog, she'll be happier for it" . She got a hound protecting her now.
celinhabr1 killer point 👌
celinhabr1..Yarp.
Ohhh didn't think about that.
Rull Mourn i knew i recognized him from somewhere!
I get it now....even after watching all the season twice now...
"And now I've struck a king! Did my hand fall from my wrist?" Always makes me laugh. :)
Sometimes I just rewatch the clips of Tyrion slapping Joffrey. It really cheers me up
Me too. A good Joffrey-slapping always makes me feel better when I'm down.
YOUR TALKING TO A KING… lmao
Tyrion as hand of the king is so therapeutic, best part of season 2 for me
Nikki: "Where's Ghost?"
Ghost: "Later Homies"
When Bran asked Theon "Did you hate us the whole time?", I think the answer was a painful "Yes, and no."
'i go to see your father'
this line makes me cry everytime xD
This was the episode that made me rethink my opinion of the hound! I also feel sorry for Theon, he's so confused. Remember that Robb constantly reminded him that he wasn't a Stark and his own family is pushing him to betray them. He has no idea what to do.
It's worse in the books. Robb was the only friend to theon in the books.
When Ramsey asked Theon is Robb lorded it over him that he wasn’t a stark, Theon said that “he didn’t have to, all he had to do was just be”
@@Blackdeathgaming-yv1kk Screw Theon regardless
"A girl can not tell a man when exactly he must do a thing"
More people should talk like this
Prudence Gilbert hahaha I love this comment how underling hysterical was that part too...Arya was in a mad rush and he was talking so slow lmao
Prudence Gilbert *A people does talk like this the whole in Braavos...*
Not exactly this guy Comes from the free City of Lorath(hope I spelled it correctly).
Elizabitty213 That was one of my favorite scenes
Yes! :'D
The Hound always watches over the pups. Good thing Sandor was there to protect Sansa.
I've been coming here for 16 days already. 51 more to go!
inspiring and if they do some of these days with 2 episodes? ;-;
51 you mean :P
right...forgot s7 was shorter :(
Yaaaaaas!
The scenes between Arya and Tywin Lannister are some of my very favorites. Charles Dance is amazing, and Maisie definitely holds her own acting opposite him.
The scenes beyond the Wall were filmed in Iceland. The actors were really freezing 😄
CC Ispahan75
It is known
but Nikki and Steven probably don't know it, they just started watching it few weeks ago
Craster's Keep scenes were filmed in Ireland I believe but yeah, the rest was filmed in Iceland.
And 750 actors had to be present in one time in their filming for season 8.
@@TheMaskedChef7 It is known.
I actually envy Kit Harrington (Jon Snow). Because he can tell his future children " And that's how I met your mother" 😝
And I also like the Spice King of Qarth. He is a truly a merchant and a trader, so when he spoke to Daenerys, he questioned her why she's worthy of his money. And from the scene, you can see that Daenerys diplomacy and persuasion skills are basically non existance. If it were Tyrion, I bet he can get 5 ships, including some goats to feed someone's manhood to.
Adi Ahmad Yeah, Daenerys basically threatens future doom and tells people to trust her because her dreams have come true. What good is that to a businessman? How about learning some actual diplomacy and tactics?
Yggdrasil42 She was learning !!!!!!!!!!! No one is born a leader .
Tyrion spend his whole life learning from Tywin, Dany had Viserys who couldnt tie his own shoes. Say whatever u want her dreams do come true, if only D&D had kept her dragondreams in the show instead of cock jokes
Yggdrasil42 - I always thought Daenerys was lying to the King of Spice about her dream. Because in season 1, never once the show showed her dream nor she mentioned in confidance to anyone. In the last episode of season 1, I thought she was committing suicide, along with her eggs.
Bran however, he told about his dreams to Osha before things happened. He saw his father in the family crypt, meaning that his father is dead, and he saw ocean comes to Winterfell and Ser Roderick dies. As far that I am concerned, Daenerys does not have what Bran has or else she would have fore seen many things including her dragon might be stolen. :)
Adi Ahmad. In the books, Daenerys has many dreams and they are prophetic. However, her dreams are far more cryptic than Bran's. Instead of seeing the future, she has weird acid trips that have hints about the future. These dreams were cut from the show because of episode time restraints.
So, just assume she has dreams, as she has them a lot in the books.
Your channel has been on 🔥 lately with the duo of Game of Thrones and Westworld!!
Best part of this episode was watching the Hound go back for Sansa.
Theon executing Ser Rodrick is such an amazing scene... Alfies acting, the music, everything's on point
The Hound was definitely a surprise to me this episode
There are good hints before that, though. If you think about it, the only actual cruelty we associate with the Hound comes from Littlefinger's scary story, and even that is a strange association. He tells us the Hound was abused as a child, then tells Sansa that she better not tell him she knows that story and hints at some terrible price. Think back carefully. What bad act has the Hound done? He told Tyrion that the then-Prince would not forget getting smacked, but certainly didn't take action. He dabbed Sansa's face when she got smacked, which also prevented her from tossing Joffrey over the edge of that walkway (but was that to protect him, or her? What would Cersei do to a girl who pushed her son to his death or crippling?). He covered Sansa with his cloak, which actually in their mythology is part of the marriage ceremony as well so you could see it as symbolic. I think he was designed to be a surprise because of how we're used to seeing a story, but in reality he's always been more of a knight than the other knights we've seen on the show.
Don’t forget that he killed the butcher’s boy. He was following orders, but that was meant to further paint him as a villain.
Arisu Cheddar. In the books, Sansa has like half a chapter with him after the first day of the tourney. It's pretty obvious that the Hound has a good heart during that chapter. And it's pretty obvious that Sansa realizes this after that chapter, as she subtly speaks highly of him in later chapters and she sort of roots for him in the tourney.
Moonfisher oh good point! I'm a dolt this morning lol
The Ashrook..how could it surprise you, youve seen GoTs already right?
About Theon executing ser Rodrik, Theon has zero training in beheading (which is important) and he never wanted to kill ser Rodrik
Just got chill bumps when the Hound rescues Sansa and says, "You're all right now Little Bird." My eyes are burning.
I liked the subtle brotherly interaction between Theon and Bran when he was taking over Winterfell 😂
'member when nikki didn't think see could make it through the violence? I 'member
The Punisher was probably a good warm up for her for this show.
The north remembers
Fun fact: according to Aiden, the actor who plays Littlefinger, the character totally recognises Arya when he sees her. He knows it's her; he just doesn't say anything about it.
"Where is Ghost?" She asking the real Question right there...stays true till the end lmao
nikki's own kill list grows longer and longer... i wonder if she also uses those names as a mantra before she falls asleep...
joffrey, cersei, theon... joffrey, cersei, theon... better than counting sheep i guess..
crappiefisher13
If you need help learning about other ways to sleep I'd be glad to pass you over to a dear friend I don't really like 🤣
she hot? :P
Lol the Tyrion slap was so good.
Jay J most satisfying scene.😄
He got a lot of nice weight transfer into that slap. Well executed.
Joffrey screaming "Kill them ALL!".
Nikki: You're not gonna have anyone to rule... Wow
Charles Dance is just great in this show, one of my favorite performances in all of GOT. His scenes with Maise are priceless.
When they ripped off that guys arm, I was like "WTF", that's what happens when you starve people Joffrey.
So, quick review.... Theon attacks Torrhen Square. Thinking it's part of the Lannister's southern army Ser Rodrik takes 200 men away from Winterfell to go protect it. Theon can then take Winterfell with just a handful of men and no fighting. Not a bad plan on it's own but yeah, he doesn't seem prepared for the immediate repercussions of those actions.
Quote from Game of Thrones Season 2 Episode 6:
(Petyr Baelish)
''A moment of chaos affords opportunities, lost soon after.''
One person's cause for celebration is another one's cause for grief. One man's trash is another man's treasure. When there's blood on the streets, buy property.
tyrion slapping joffrey are the best scenes ever
Well, at the time of this episode I hated Theon with all of my forces but rewatching it now, I can understand him. He was taken as a foster child at Winterfell and wasn't exactly part of the Stark family, he was always a Greyjoy. He wasn't treated much better than Jon, the difference was that Theon was from a major house instead of a bastard. He was getting the chance to be a real Greyjoy and he took it. Not an easy choice or pleasant.
That scene with Baelish and Arya is crazyyyy, I always hold my breath! lol
And Joffrey is the ultimate douchebag. He hates Sansa, he doesn't care about anyone other than himself. Sansa is honestly a child living inside of the lion's den.
Lol I'm sorry i still hate him with every fiber of my being 😂
The opening scene with theon has the music "Pay the Iron Price" when he kills Ser Rodrick, forever one of the most memorable scenes for me
After I finish watching shows I like to just go back and watch someone reaction to the whole thing while rewatching some of the best scenes of each episode
Fun fact!: "That giant Ice Land" referred to by Steven was in fact actually Iceland (the country) in real life. For this season they were able to actually move shooting the scenes beyond the wall to Iceland rather than shooting them on a soundstage.
I’ve watched many GoT reactions on many different channels and you guys are easily one of my favorites. You’re sincere and you don’t distract from the moments by getting overly chatty. Perfect balance of reaction and commentary. Keep up the excellent work, folks.
Thank you so much, we appreciate that! - Nikki
*Excellent reaction, excellent editing!!!! You guys have mastered the art of capturing the moment!!! Great job you two!!!! Best GoT reaction channel thus far!!! I am pleased and proud of you both!! Accolades and thank yous!!!*
Thank you sooo much, we really appreciate when the hard work gets noticed!- Nikki
Nikki & Steven React You two deserve it!!!! Thanks.
Jon : Is that even an environment to pull that off?
Ygritte : lol
Which storyline are you guys most interested in right now? I know there’s a bunch, but which one do you feel vested in at the moment?
i'm pretty sure that rayraygunner aksed nikki and steve that
At the time, it was Arya's storyline. Then the whole Red Keep storyline with Tyrion, Sansa, Joffery, then Jon's storyline, and then finally Bran's. I honestly was bored with Daenerys, Robb's and Stannis stories.
2020 hindsight - Nikki said about Joffrey "Strip him naked and make him run through the streets, embarrass the shit out of him". Wrong Lannister.
Kit Harrington be going "That's how I met your mother" to his kids watching this episode.
❤️ from Paris! It’s great to have a daily reaction to GoT during the week. You’re spoiling us 😉
Season 2 is sooo underrated. What a great season!!
I love the Arya/Tywin relationship and Theon taking Winterfell is such a powerfully sad scene. When you add in Joffrey getting crap in his face and *then* bitchslapped...this is one of my favorite episodes!
I'm really touched by Nikki's reaction to baby dragons' crying She worries about scary dangerous creations which even don't exist! Your empathy level must be 100/100!)))
It is....I cry over animals and children all the time! - Nikki
"Who's idea was it to take Joffrey through that part of town?"
It was probably Tyrion's idea.
When he said this is crazy and I feel like a bunch of more crazy stuff is coming I can't be the only one who thought yep winter, winter is coming.
I love starting my day with my bowl of oatmeal, a cup of coffee and some Nikki & Steven GOT reaction! Makes me smile!
Tywin is giving Arya hints constantly. He called her out on being from Maidenpoole in a previous episode. Asks for a book by title, and points out "my cup bearer can read better than you" to his officers. He knows there's more to this girl, he can't put his finger on what that "more" is, but gives her hints that he knows. Asks questions of her to 'probe' her defenses and hopes she makes an error.
Yes, Jaquen H'Gar is like "expedient stealth kill level 200"
I feel like the best way to describe Theon is a loud chihuahua surrounded by Rottweilers, annoying yet pitiful.
The reason they put Joffrey through that part of town is because the poorest part of King's Landing happens to be right in front of the castle. Essentially he had to go through flea bottom in order to make it to the red keep, that's why he was stuck in the position he was because he was too stupid to realize leaving the red keep at that time was an idea that was foolish
Steven's face during that final dragon cry before the episode ends.... PRICELESS :-)
I happened to be up at 3am and low and behold, I'm watching Nikki cursing Joffrey, Cersei and Theon! And Steven and Nikki cheering on Tyrion! This was one of the best reactions so far!
Didnt want to comment this the first time I watched because I didn’t want to spoil it for you both, but 11:39 nikki has visions for Joffrey’s mother 😂
In reality it's not easy to chop ones head off. When you read old descriptions, it was common to hit several times, even in an execution with an axe. It could even take a dozen hits or more. The one cut thing is mainly a movie thing.
what a great episode. And you are almost in the 20k! nice!!!
Just wanted to point out how frowned upon it was in medieval times to botch an execution the way Theon did. Huge no-no back then. It takes immense strength to wield a sword heavy enough to decapitate a person in one swing, and an Executioner was only respected if they could do so. It shows physical strength. So Theon basically showed us and all his men how weak he is. Mentally and physically, considering he also has such little honor that he had to be reminded to be the one who swings the sword. He did it to gain respect, but after that? lol It's gonna be tough for him.
Yes. An execution would be put off, at times, to wait for the best executioner in the land, for "special" condemned persons - such as a favored queen.
Oswald Thatendswald On the other hand, that scene is very realistic.
oh yeah it absolutely was. That's what would happen if you tried to behead someone and weren't strong enough to wield the sword.
I barely see anyone also point out the weapon he's using. Sure, strength matters but so does the weapon when we're talking execution. Theon is using a one-handed sword, which is more so the issue here...not his strength. It doesn't have enough weight to it to provide a clean sever of a head. He forgot that Ned used a greatsword for his executions, mostly because of it's weight. Why you see executioners usually use a greatsword or a large axe (great-axe). A great-axe is more so what people would commonly think of an executioner using. Long polearm type of weapon. You could behead someone with a 1-hand but I'm willing to bet the majority of the men he was leading couldn't even do that. Need someone like The Mountain to do it in one cut. I've actually seen someone beheaded before, some old video. And they were using a machete. They had to also hack to get it off because the weight simply isn't there. I don't think it said much about his strength, given all this. If anything just showed how fucked he was and how he was willing to do anything. I mean the camera went to that one guy who he was with as he was hacking and to me he looked less embarrassed and more like,"You sick fuck...". I think if anything it only appears that he is weak to those who don't understand the weapons they are using. Majority of people couldn't behead someone in one slice with a 1-hand arming sword. You have to be strong as fuck.
Pretty much impossible to behead someone with one stroke with a sword of that size
This is the 2nd episode in a row where Nikki predicted something that happens in a later season lol she’s the 3 eyed raven 😂
Paul Heyman! lol. Yeah, The Spice King is a mix of Paul Heyman and Vizzini in The Princess Bride!!!! "Dragons??? Inconceivable!!!!!!"
alienanxiety you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
I love Tywin's dynamic with Arya (Loved Charles Dance on Bleak House too). It makes me wonder how Arya would be like if she was a Lannister instead.
I've been watching u reaction videos and u guys are the best. Nikki ur the best with ur love of the little ones and animals. Steven love u hosting and ur radio voice. Keep up the good work.
‘Thank God, I love the Hound.Holy shit he disembowelled the guy!’. Great reaction😂
11:10 Nikki: Cersei needs to die.
Mother Nature: Roger that.
Jon Snow is the definition of honor. Wish I was more like him
vikingjedi Agreed! :)
10:25 I always get distracted by that little bit of snow on the end of his dagger. LOL
"He's not made for this" Right before Theon completely screws up the execution.
Nikki talking about Joffrey at 11:39- “Strip him naked, make him run through the streets”
Oh, I can’t wait for Cersei’s walk of atonement.
"Where's Ghost let Ghost do it" 😂😂 love it. Great reaction guys ❤
love how this is the ep that the actor who plays jon snow met his wife
Love the reactions guys! Stay away from spoilers! 😋
"Oh thank God, I love the Hound...holy shiiiit he just disemboweled the guy!"
This whole series can be summed up by Nikkis question “where the hell is Ghost?”
An extension to what I commented back on your Ep 1x2 reaction. About hating the Hound and then loving him. This is the moment his redemption arc begins. And the exact moment he's supposed to feel more like a good guy. An antihero more than anything
I am also very glad you commented on the sound design for the dragons. There are a number of specific sounds in the show that just rip through you, and that is one of them. They also do some very intriguing things with fire, and there are scenes where the squeaks of rats, for instance, are made to be much louder than they should be... makes you feel like the rats are near the camera (which is you, the viewer) and makes you feel suitably creeped out. The dragon baby sounds are deliberate and heartbreaking. :(
YAY!!!! - nearly at 20K . You guys just keep hitting it out of the park.
I love how you posted on a Friday without telling us the mods lmaoOOo #Bazinga 🤣🤣🤣
Age Of The Witch are you a mod? First time I see a mod commenting hahah
A Witch with jokes, interesting
😲 Oh no!
Charles J wicked jokes ;)
Lol, that opening segment I knew that was your reaction to the arm being ripped off🤣 That was the High Septon, he’s like a priest, he was there to bless Myrcella’s journey. In Westeros they use marriage to make allliances with other Houses, so Tyrion was always serious about marrying Myrcella off, he was just using it to his advantage. Also, where the harbor is you have to travel through the poorer parts of King’s Landing, they were officially out of The Red Keep (where the castle is) so that’s why they had Joffrey there, plus they had armed Kingsguard, they just underestimated the crowd. So much fun, as usual!!❤️
Love watching you two getting more savvy about the show...what a journey this will be for you and your subs...cheers!
Ghost's a direwolf. They don't give him puppy chow; he goes out hunting for his own dinner.
Tyrion was always my favorite throughout the show... Little dude had balls of steel...Thanks for sharing!!!
"You know nothing Jon Snow." The potential drinking games are piling up.
One of my FAVORITE scenes and lines in this show! "I had a terrible dream last night!" -Spice Trader. The Spice Merchant Danaerys talks to is the Same actor that got ripped apart by the mob in KingsLanding xD idk why they did that ut they gave him a line to make fun of it. So many people miss this, but i love it
I like that Baelish / Tywin scene, because it uses viewers feelings and attachment to the Arya ("oh, no, would he recognize her or not") to distract them from the conversation that really matters.
Also it's strange to see everybody, all the reactors for sure, showing so much appreciation towards Arya at this point of show, because she is irrelevant right now (well, she's got some relevance as potential hostage, but other than that she is just a kid), while I was always focused on Tywin's words and actions.
This is the epitome of how the power of the few can be outweighed by the many
13:13 I rewinded that part like 50 times.
Yes it is hinted at that people in the crowd ate the bodies they tore apart. The common folk of Kings Landing are starved right now. There is a food shortage
LOL @ Nikki holding her breath for the entire Arya/Tywin/Littlefinger meetup. Me too, as I remember. Hahah
The poor area of Kings Landing is called Fleabottom (a number of well known characters in the show hail from there).
A salutary lesson that the poor will rise up if oppressed too much!
Love that Nikki’s squeamishness has lessened, it is important to watch everything happen rather than cover your eyes so that your feelings toward actions in the show are truly heightened. Really enjoying your reactions and discussions especially now that you are invested in the show, Steven is right the show really does have more to shock you with.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I remember you said on a previous video that people don't like your intros. Well, to hell with them.IMO do your intro, go over your thoughts, and if it becomes a problem for some users you can insert a caption detailing at what time the reaction starts so people can skip ahead if they choose. I just don't want you guys to feel pressured into not doing an intro. I enjoy them, I hope you've gotten other comments saying the same. Alright, off I go!
Thank you!!!! - Nikki
14:32 (She went to the firebugs house!)
It always saddened me about how Quorin Halfhands story was cut out in exchange for sexual tension between Ygritte and Jon. Theres plenty of THAT in season 3!
Basically, Quorin talks about how he was Brothers(as in NW, not natural)with Mance Rayder, who was a foundling before he abandoned the Watch. He also has a great scene where he says he doesn't mind that Jon spared Ygritte, that he knew which of his men to use for specific jobs and he wanted to learn more about Jon. If Jon had killed her, he would have known more about him, but he didn't specifically say "kill her", he said "do what needs to be done", leaving it up to Jon what that was.
You guys crack me up, i love the chemistry you both have towards each other , it's super cute.. Also i love the way Nikki corrects Steven when he gets a name wrong.., much love from Belfast ;-)
Steven won me over with the Paul Heyman comment lmao
I love rewatching the seasons with you guys! pls continue!
If I were the Hound, I would've just thrown Joffrey to the rioters, and said "He's all yours!"
From what I understood, whoever told Cersei what Tyrion was gonna do, (marry Myrcella off to Robin, Doran, or Theon) whichever one was mentioned, he was gonna do, just to piss off and hurt Cersei even more
We all turn into savages when we watch this show. We start out with "Oh my god - oh no no no" and end up with "kill him - slowly. Please. Make him feel i!" - And the blood and gore? As we get aquainted with this world, we just adapt. And please just kill - insert name - him/her! haha. Soo good. I love it.
The funny thing is in real life the actor who plays Jon married the girl who played the red head wilding Ygritte just a few months ago.
Yeah, he couldn't chop his head off probably both because he's weak but more so that he's using a one-handed sword. Ned used a greatsword, which obviously has more weight to it. Which would be the preferred weapon to behead someone in one swipe, that or a large axe. If you don't have the weight, then you probably aren't cutting through in one go.
Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) are married in real life.
Kinda oba spoiler. This insinuates Ygrites an important character before she is one
...not really? It just says hey, fun fact, these actors are married.
Busang Ng definitely doesn't because what if they had been together before the show started...like lena heady was interested in the role because peter dinklage and her were friends for years before hand
Rudy Rydz yeah perhaps youre right. I apologize
