Although cyberpunk 2077 is a good game, even above average with the things that happened to it, and the incredible dlc. Still, the feeling for what should have been is inevitable, you know? Imagine each building in Nightcity as a dangeon, each store, a random interaction as Skyrin, each NPC, the possibility of interaction, fights, relationships, conflicts, revenge. Thinking how good the idea was and how little was applied, makes me regret that possibly the greatest rpg in the history of games, has become the game with good graphics and shooting, just like all the others are.
No matter how much you max out the settings, it still doesn't fool your brain into thinking it's real. The reason why those Reshade/ENB clips look so real is because they using natural lighting and a strong Depth of Field effect to keep you focused on where the textures are the best and mask the surroundings. You can also download texture mods but some will cap your max video ram. I don't know it plays a weird trick on your brain. I can run the game at 1080P with DLSS and all that jazz and it will look more realistic than this because of Reshade effects and a couple of mods.
@paradoxic1888 I'm sure there'll be a reshape LUT setup that will make this look amazing. I just haven't found one I liked for more than a few moments under specific conditions. Either way, there's really no wrong answer to this because it's all based on what you personally like. This has been another random rant brought to you by four cups of coffee and almost no sleep.
@@jasonforsyth5015 I feel you, which is why I'm creating my own preset. Have been tweaking for hours to get something I like but for some reason depth of field and dehaze bugs out when in close corridors. Only when enabling noise is it stable, which ruins the look I'm going for. It's a shame because when it doesn't bug out it looks insane.
@@paradoxic1888 I took your input and tested it out with EDGE lut and Ultimate Natural Graphics and I'm uploading the video of the gameplay now. About half is with Light DOF, the Other is with Harsher DOF, all gameplay was with Motion Blur and film grain on. It doesn't look bad... Anyway, I appreciate the feedback.
@@jasonforsyth5015 If you are using Reshade, turn on Lumasharpen and set it to 36, 0.035, 0.035. Also turn on Contrast Sharpening and tweak it as you see fit. Put it before the DOF setting. Turn off film grain if the DOF doesn't tweak out. I can share my preset with you as there are other effects too but those are the important ones. Anyway looking forward to seeing how it looks with no limits.
looks so fcking good

Insane how much mods can change a videogame
What Hardware are you using? This looks insane
5950x 128 GB DDR4, 2TB SSD 4090 and a hole in my free time filled up with a shitload of overtime to pay for all of this.
