- Jackson Browne is the most fantastic musician. I offer my sincere apologies for this version.
This is me on a reasonably good day, nine months ago, playing in the music room down in the basement, struggling to learn a whole bunch of new technologies as well as a decent version of the song.
Some of my challenges have led to it being more difficult to play than ever before, but I still enjoy it a lot. My apologies for inflicting it on you instead of cool Jeeps videos or some aviation.
Really inspiring and creative space you have there! Pretty cool! Great music experiment with the gadgets too. Neat,
Those are very kind words and I really appreciate that. Yeah, gadgets are kind of OK, but I would really prefer a human being offering harmonies. But there's certainly a place on my paddleboard for a harmonizer. And my dictation app always spells pedal board as paddleboard. C'est la vie
Well done. One for my favorite artist.
Thank you so much. He is also one of my most favorite artists. In particular I like his late stuff that he's publishing now on RUclips. Barricades to Heaven! Black and White!
Someone's gonna have to explain it to me
I'm not sure what it means
My baby's feelin' funny in the morning
She's having trouble getting into her jeans
Her waist-line seems to be expanding
Although she never feels like eating a thing
I guess we'll reach some understanding
When we see what the future will bring.
Ready or not , one of favorite JB songs.
If by explanation you mean how this video is proceeding or was made then I'll give you a little insight.
I played the first intro bar to show you that it was me doing it. It was recorded on the Looper at my feet which then plays it back as long as I want. On the computer screen is a piece of software that lets me record music. I have a digital interface between my guitar equipment and my computer.
All of the stuff is very mysterious to me, but it's a ton of fun to play with. The last component is the podcasting software that I am using. Someday when I'm courageous enough I'll try and do a live broadcast, and in each case with each piece of software I am so far behind the curve it's embarrassing, but it's still fun.
Are you a BW Stevenson fan?
Unaware. Will have to do my research.
@@JeremyWilson We'll have to get together, and talk about great music of the past.
Seems like overnight we had great FM rock, then it all went to disco. I was in TX, and we all had switch to C&W. That was back when there was still Western in C&W.
I get no prize for a four month delay and replying to a comment and an invitation to get together to play music. And the words "I apologize "seem inadequate.
There was never any country in my world growing up to be Frank, is my musical mother rather looked down her nose at it and I sort of adopted that position myself, to my regret in adulthood. But now, I have room for some country in my world. I'm not claiming to be a cowboy, but I do have the hat and boots.
@@JeremyWilson Not a problem.
