Y’all need to make a short journey from where y’all are at now and hit up the Cowpasture River. It’s a tributary of the James. The smallmouth game is insane there! Still loving these group trips! Thanks for living our dreams out there guys!

Too much agriculture irrigation on the Cowpasture keeping water levels too low for good fish management. The days of growing corn and hay along the river bottoms has given way to rice paddies, which require h2o to be pumped from the river.
@BASSnBEER Should've "sent it" over the falls at "second bridge".
Lived in Va for 20 plus years. fished the Shenandoah, upper Potomac, tidal Potomac, Rappahannock River, Lake Anna, Gaston, Buggs Island, Smith Mountain, Roanoke river, and too many more. Can you disclose where y'all were? New river maybe?
