This game holds a special place in my childhood - M&L:PIT was my first Nintendo DS game...ahh, the good ol' days. I can remember it like it was yesterday. I feel like this game truly brought out the unique aspects of the Nintendo DS having two screens & having the babies on the X + Y buttons. A very satisfying game - an even MORE satisfying soundtrack! Truly an underrated sequel that didn't get the remastered version, but you still got spark for this remix that for sure!

There is hope for the Mario&Luigi series after they showed Luigi dark moon on the switch
I feel like if it had more of a proper backtracking system and an expansive overworld (like not just peach’s castle) then it would’ve been much better.
I used to think as a kid that if you completed the game you could visit the present day overworld. Imagine if that was the case lmao.
@@x8bitpixelfor me it was the balancing. Lots of tough battles mid to late game, and even using the bro moves equivalent, the battles are bloody long. It's probably the one game in the series that needs a remake the most. Everything else about the game was solid aside from the ridiculous amount of HP the bosses had.
I always love how the idle animation of Luigi makes him look like he's some sort of thief who got caught trying to sneak up on someone in the process of trying to steal their wallet.
LOL it is kinda hilarious, and it's even better since you rarely battle without the babies! 😆

Being that this is was my first introduction to the Mario & Luigi series, it does put a smile on my face that it’s getting attention here.

The music of this series is often slept on, I’m so glad you’ve given it the limelight it deserves :). This is fab! I hope you do both of the sister themes, their music is so dark compared to the other boss battles of the series and I’d love to see your take on them :D

@@jaycup1487 you definitely should!! The DAW I use is Ableton, however most of my plugins are external for sound selection - it’s mostly a combination of Nexus4 & Serum

I’d be lying if I said the shroobs didn’t scare me when I was a kid, quite literally at age 7 I had a nightmare I still remember vividly regarding Princess Shroob.
Fortunately I overcame the fear when I was 11 and finally beat the damn thing.
