    Hi mick, really enjoy your videos. Thanks for this one coz I noticed that when you were searching for the brag mat, the fish was flapping around, so I’m thinking secure the fish in the net first priority then do everything else, especially in a comp would hate to lose the fish at that point I reckon. Not being critical coz you’re a better angler than me but probably would not have given it much thought if I hadn’t seen your video so thanks for posting it.

    That was a cool video Mick thanks for the honesty that’s rare with the fisho’s today. Been following you for a while but have recently been watching all your recent content around botany and the harbour. I’ll be grabbing some 6 pound braid on Wednesday already got my leader so I’ll be throwing everything around like Slippery Dogs/ cranks/sugarpens & maybe a few Shad’s and even the bent minnow if I can. Have good one & better luck next time dude 👍🏾

    Careful flicking rod when lure is on a light branch, that’s how I ended up with a treble in the face, would’ve lost an eye if I didn’t have sunnies on.

    Great video Mick ! I used to bait fish for bream in there a million years ago - always at night as daytime was usually dead . At night we could see the bream swimming up onto the reef on the end of folly point - they were only in 50mm of water and we could see their backs sticking out of the water as they wiggled their way up onto the reef to feed on the clickers or green nippers that live there . I would have thought a small curl or paddle tail in motor oil would have got smashed .

      Maybe the rain has put them down I dunno . I watch a lot of lure fishing in the harbour on RUclips but you never see much done in the north side - maybe it’s just harder fishing there ? What were the size of the bream that won it like ?

      @the_black_douglas9041 7 месяцев назад +1

      I worked on the Northside for 30+ years and did a lot of lure fishing there…but not much catching bream. It’s just not as even slightly productive as the Parra or Georges for bream on artificials. The bream are very spooky there compared…I think because it’s really just upper reaches of the harbour, whereas Parra and Georges there’s substantially more fresh coming down…murkier, more cover, less wary fish. I’m surprised anyone caught any fish! The only time the bream really smashed artificials in MH was when the whitebait schooled up before Easter. It’s decent up there for kings…park off the end of any sandflat or reef on the dot of low tide and kings go hulk smash for 20 minutes. You can set your clock by it.
