I think this Hee Haw footage was taped just after Roy's World Tour. He had lost weight as one person commented but it eventually returned. Depending on what time of the year in 1977 this aired it could've been from a fall 1976 taping or it could've come from a summer 1977 taping. Hee Haw had an unusual production method. The entire cast and guest stars would tape 13 episodes worth of shows in a month's time in the summer and then in the fall they'd gather together for a month to tape another 13 episodes. Roy used to wear an eye catching hat during this time period, too.
