The Holy Grail is a medieval literary creation that first shows up more than a thousand years after the crucifixion. The association of the Knights Templar with the Grail didn't happen until the 19th century. The Grail's existence as a modern symbol of something comes out of esoteric movements that rely on fabricated history.
