When the game is ready to be released,I hope that it can make Rascal skim through water at high speed. That would look so cool. As well as give each stage a close out music theme for when Rascal completes a stage.
I still dont understand why Sonic Team cant make something like this, a game where you not only have speed, its more like a game where you can truly control your speed.
10/10 game and easily beats all official Sonic engines. The grinding feels flat though, you should have to lean into the concave on the rails for an extra level of input.
I feel like he’s not processing or experiencing his own world or mechanics. He’s just hopping through levels too easily. I do love the concept and the momentum based physics though.
Knowing that the people who made this made sonic gt, it makes me realize that sonic gt was in a way a tech demo for this. From the system of getting stars for doing stuff, to the momentum heavy movement, that game kinda feels like an earlier demo disguised as a sonic fan game that also is 100% complete with an ending and everything lol
So far really well made. May I suggest testing the camera to do a little predictive movement, I notice when the player goes high, the camera is trailing him. would could to players loosing track. Other than that I really like it.
Ah yeah, I believe they already made a patch for the camera adjustment. The good thing with this demo is that they are taking in casual and speedrunners input for the final release.
I really hope this game gets a sonic skin mod some day. Not that I dislike rascal, I think he’s awesome, but being able to see sonic in these cool worlds would be sick

My biggest problem with these games trying to incorporate residential buildings and zones into these games is that they just end up looking like abandoned amusement parks.
How do you get the spindash to go off in mid air? I know you can charge it in air, but I thought you had to hit the ground to fly forward. Couldn't replicate that move when I played. EDIT: I figured it out. You press the jump button while you've got the spin dash charged mid air.
Finally a well made sonic game With games like pal world and rolling rascals I hope they help ip owners put more effort into their games because the fact this game plays better than any 3d sonic game while sharing the same gameplay style is sad

I see my self getting lost in these levels. whether or not that's the intention, i see this game being a difficult to implement for multiplayer racing. Based on the paths taken in the demo, if player intended to get through the level normally like this, i could see players just being unable to find the finish line.
The endings need something. The levels feel unfinished without some sort of finish line to let you know the stage is done. Just running into nothing isnt satisfying for how good the gane is
It's sad how sega keeps releasing the same slop to fans. Same thing for the Pokemon team. Look what palworld, Rollin' Rascal and Spark the Electric Jester have done for the genres.
ive seen alot of this type of movement in sonic fan game demos already. And i been saying they need to stop making sonic demos and just make their own IP.
This is all basically real-time mental calculations with the physics system. You can't just *do* this, it's a skill ceiling kind of thing. What's a playground that doesn't let you go wild with it? Most people won't be able to anyway.
I played for about 20 min and was able to replicate what was happening in this video. granted im a "gamer" with a capital G lol That being said maybe I am being a little harsh. I think its just a preference thing. I enjoy a little more linearity. Sonic Generations found the sweet spot in my opinion. @@MarkerMurker
As a person who plays this Game ITS REALLY HARD the game gives you the tools to Dodge these things but on my first try I could NOT BEAT chaotic climbing for half an hour I can beat that shit in 2 min now but it took 3 hours of practise
The camera and the animations are so fluid. I especially love the ball bounce and spin dash charge animations
