Burrow is super underrated, he’s gotta stay consistent. I can see him being a top 5 quarter back in the future. But this guy Herbert… something about him is different

Yeah he has to be consistent but you can say the same about Herbert. But keep in mind he’s coming off an ACL and playing like 8 less games than Herbert as well. Both will be great but when Burrow starts getting his form back he’s deadly accurate and he’ll be mobile plus reads the pocket and handles the blitz better

I think it’s Herbert all day no question. Herbert has aaron Rodgers level of talent . The way he can run, throw while on the run, and just throw bombs on point, burrow is a beast but I don’t think he has the same level of arm talent as Herbert.
I'd take burrow, Herbert has the most passes under 5 yards in the air, and burrow leads the nfl in touchdowns over 20 yards

That’s all is there to it. Burrow is never making some of those throws Herbert does routinely.
@@banjokazooie7207 Teams are playing two high safety all game. Literally the same defense they play against Mahomes and Allen. Also, the Sean Payton scheme they run in LA is based on a lot of short passing, it's not a great fit, but herbert is the #1 QB according to QBR because of it.
Give me J Herb. He’s really special and the Charger’s entire play style doesn’t even entirely compliment him yet.

I saw Joe Burrow play just 2 or 3 games while he was at LSU, dude was a beast. I knew that he would be an excellent N.F.L quarterback. Some of the "experts" did not think that Burrow would be a great quarterback, boy were they wrong.
I mean I get you but 95% of the experts they had him as a can't miss QB. That's like bragging I grabbed Colgate toothpaste even though one out of 10 dentist was not about that.

The only reason herbert has more yards and passing TDS is because he has thrown the ball 100 more times this season in the same amount of games. Obviously Burrow has more INTS, they’ve both had their fair share of lucky / unlucky picks. I really don’t think there’s a difference, they fit their identities as the Ohio kid in Cinci and La kid in Chargers. They’re perfect fit for their franchises

Herbert is a better QB but Joe Burrow looks like a better leader which means more to a franchise both on offense and defense. The Bengals were a absolute mess prior to Burrow and he was able to get this team to the next step before his injury and just picked off where he left off
And the chargers literally relied on Herbert look at the Texans with tyrod Taylor.. if Herbert doesn’t come to the chargers the chargers would be struggling for years to find rivers replacement

Idk but I'm tired of the whole it-factor reasoning as to why Burrow is better than Herbert. This seems to be similar as to why people liked Burrow and even Tua over Herbert. We didn't see enough from Herbert in college to give him the it-factor because he didn't play for as big of a school and never had a good enough team. But from what we have seen from all of them in the NFL has said that Herbert is wayyy better than them. I do agree that Burrow has the it-factor, but at this point it shouldn't be the reason why you take him over Herbert. At this point Herbert also has that it-factor. And when Dan said what Burrow has that Herbert doesn't or hasn't shown yet, I feel like he was still wrong on both. Hard to tell exactly what he means by being disrespectful with the football, but has he not seen the many throws over the past 2 years that have been insane? I know this video was released before the game, but I'd still say that Herbert throwing into triple coverage on 4th & Goal to Keenan Allen on Sunday was pretty disrespectful. And even throwing it deep 1 on 1 to Jalen Guyton being covered by all-pro Jessie Bates is pretty disrespectful. And poise, Herbert doesn't get affected. What did he do in the 4th quarter against the Browns, Steelers, Bengals, and the Chiefs? Love Burrow and he will hopefully win a super bowl some time in his career, but Herbert is the right option if you are starting a team, he's too good to pass up.
Why did Herbert play for Oregon then and not an SEC School?
Congrats to burrow. I don’t hate him, just hated the comparisons but what Burrow has done since this comment has been amazing. I’d still take Herbo over Burrow. Also Justin went to Oregon because that was where he lived, he lived right down the street from the Oregon stadium. Herbo not making the playoffs is not on him. Defense was really bad and so was his ST. And his receivers also led the league in drops. But still, can’t congratulate Burrow enough for what he’s done.

Burrow might not be the best in most of their eyes but for me he is the best. He is not naturally talented but he is a hardworker n determined man and that is what I love about him
I'm a Bengals Fan and like Borrow but to me Herbert is extremely talented and will win a super bowl and Borrow is very good but Mr.
Brown will not spend the money to beef up our offensive line .....Sad to say.

The reasons you like Herbert are the exact same things Burrow does. They are both great players, however I think Burrow's smarter on the field I'd take him over Herbert.

This is really tough. Both are really really good players. Im a LSU guy so I gotta go with Burrow, but I take nothing away from Herbert. Both these dudes can flat out ball. I’m just happy we have them for the next 10 years

The only thing that’s separating Herbert & Burrow is Burrow’s personality. If Herbert was just as outgoing as Burrow & had all this “moxy” he’d be the face of the league.
You can have a QB be a leader by example, but you cannot have a quiet QB. Brady is deforest not quiet and neither is Burrow.

It’s close, but I’ll take Herbert. He’s younger, taller/bigger, has a stronger arm. Beats Burrow in most statistical categories and they both have similar offensive talent around them now. But Bengals defense >>> Chargers defense so Burrow is better setup in terms of team success. So I think Burrow wins the first SB.

For all of the people saying that Burrow would have won ROY if he didnt get injured and that his stats were better here is the facts. Burrow played 10 games. After 10 games Justin Herbert had 3331 yards and 22 TDs. After 10 games Burrow had 2688 yards and 13 TDs. Justin was ahead of Burrow by a long shot in 2020 and deserved ROY.
Herbert has higher ceiling but Burrow has higher floor

Disrespectful throws.. okay I watched Herbert throw a laser between three defenders to Keenan Allen that Burrow could not have completed. Poise? How many times does Herbert have to bail them out of third and long situations? He has had more comeback wins and game winning drives. He has to do a lot more for his team to have a chance. Why though? Defense is not that bad. O-line is not that bad. Though Burrow probably has the better RB.

That would obviously help, but still Herbert does have some good wrs. Also as of right now teams have been putting 2 safeties and making sure chase is locked up and can’t go deep. So having that helps the other wrs on the team play way better. It also sucks because he’s not gonna win roty just because they are putting so much attention on him, even tho he’s still helping the team, but it is what it is

Herbert is super poised in the pocket , can run and has a huge cannon .. Burrow don’t have much scrambling ability and he’s not as poised so I say Herbert over burrow with burrow being second .. boy it feels good he’s with my CHARGERS !!
