    Nice breakdown of his form. The amount of hip extension elite runners get is what separates them from the rest of the competition. Great video.

      JP Gloria It’s all good! I’m not a pro but to me it seems Jakob and Filip have quite similar styles, Jakob has his arms a bit closer to his chest and takes maybe a little bit shorter strides. Henrik on the other hand has his torso a bit more upright and has his elbows flared a little bit. I wonder if he would benefit from slight alterations to his form or not.

    There is a some other Norwegian who has records on about 3.40. Wonder how the Ingebrigtsen-brothers, Filip 3.30.01, Jakob 3.31.18, Henrik 3.31.46 and the 4 best Norwegian could do it on a 4 x 1500 when all is on it's best? They would be really dangerous for the Australian 14.22 WR

    Hey
    Why does Kenenisa Bekele kick his foot so high, almost touching his butt, and these ”modern” elite runners do not? I find bringing the leg up high in speeds higher than 10mph. Is that decreasing my effiency? Thanks for your time, keep up analysing!

    Good video! I always learn with your videos. That guy is very good. I would like to see him facing africans. By your videos, I learnt that the power really comes from the hips. Am I right? Please, correct me, if I'm not. I'm trying to always improve my hip extension, I always do skips (A, B, C). Is this the correct path?

    • @JPGloria
      @JPGloria  5 лет назад

      I appreciate you for watching! And yes, a lot of power comes from the hips. As for skips, those are nice drills to warm up to prepare to run. Now, hip extension is good, but one tip is just to be careful to not over push as the foot leaves the ground. To prevent this, dont let your knee move backward and lag behind too much during the moment your foot leaves the ground

  • @musclelessfitness2045
    @musclelessfitness2045 5 лет назад +4

    Nice video. This kid is too good.
    Not a whole lot to add. His somewhat arched back can either come from contracting his back muscles or, his neck and head position, which are tilted upwards.
    Just one last thing ... our hips move in 3 dimensions. If you have too much stability it means you're not moving your hips much. If you check closely, all the fastest runners have mobile hips. Mobile hips > stable hips, but of course, I'm not talking about Salsa hips lol

    • @JPGloria
      @JPGloria  5 лет назад

      That is true. I agree with those points. And yeah, I agree about your concept of balance between mobility and stability as well!! And thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate that you continue to watch my videos!

    What’s his average stride length

    • @jonasharestad7664
      @jonasharestad7664 2 года назад

      Given that the cadence is 210 spm its easy to calculate since you know the distance and time. 210 spm in 3.63 minutes is 763 steps in 1500 meter. Then the average step length 1.97m. Or stride length 2x1.97m = 3.94m
