I remember when the manga chapter came out and right after reading it i locked eyes with my brother. He knew full well what I just read and he said, "right?". Fairy Tail does know how to play with our emotions.
I miss this scene. I remembered the time I was watching this months ago, I'm actually crying. And August's misery of not being acknowledged and loved by his parents saddened me for almost a month
He so pure he did not tell Zeref he is his son, he loved zeref unconditionally until he aged. He never hated his mother Mavis, and he love his mother unconditionally just by the memories of her. He stopped his purpose of kill everybody just by looking at his mother with love and surrender his life to love.
Think about it. There was nothing ANY character in the series could do. August cast a spell that would have killed the entire cast of the show right then and there, and the only reason they lived is because he willingly stopped his cast upon seeing his mother. He *ALLOWED* Fairy Tail to live beyond this day.
That cut deep. The king of magic. Most powerful mage of his age. And dying with "once will be enough, to held in your hands" words. Trully no money, or power, or whatever else can replace love.
Most tragic character to me at least, I cried so much, none of the other deaths got me like this one, mostly because no other character felt this much loneliness their entire life from the moment they are born to the day they die, and I believe August had a good heart.
Gave me goosebumps. You could the the emotions trapped in August's eyes when he saw Mavis. The longingness trapped within those eyes. By far the most tragic death in the series.
im not over this. nope! like fairy tail can hit me with anotha of their sad shit and happy episodes but they’re not getting me past the fact mavis and zeref never found out august was their son. NOPE! NEVER!
chia the only person knew about the fact that August is son of Mavis and Zeref: Hades. But as we know, he died in the earlier arc thus making absolutely no one knows about that fact, even Mavis and Zeref.
Finally got the chance to watch fairy tail and came across this episode...Went and look for this in youtube so i can express myself because of the heartbreak it gave me.. It's just soooo saaaad. Is there no justice for august? No closure? I cant seem to get past this episode.. Already watching the rest but cant shake off this sadness... Really...
Honestly, I was very disappointed that so few people died during the final war. I got even sicker when characters like Makatov, Juvia and Gadjeel came back to life after their fake death that had so much meaning. In the end Fairy Tail wizards are all alive and it looks like nothing has changed. However, I must admit that Irene and August's deaths are meaningful. Both strongest wizards of their Empire commit suicide, which shows that power isn't everything you need. Both lacked love, had traumas and needed relationships they could never have. Besides, August saying that there are no good nor evil, except from love is something we've been waiting a long time from Fairy Tail antagonists. Usually they're corrupted by darkness or selfish persons. Here we have someone who dares question his own existence and goals, true to himself until he finds what he was looking for.
A truly powerful opponent but only stopped to not harm his mother that never seen him, never got love from anyone and wanted revenge and was close to doing so. But one look at his mother he stopped and died in the process. Killing your own mother would be unable to bear with and he chose to not do it. Truly a good boy to not kill or harm his own mother.
When you realize that the only reason August stopped his spell was because he couldn't bring himself to kill his mother. Once he realized the spell was hurting her, he stopped it, but it killed him before he got the chance to actually talk to her. That moment made me cry.
i remember exactly that i had to pause Fairy Tail after watching this episode, i don't know why but August' death made me feel really uncomfortable with the whole situation going, just dying not knowing the embrace of his mother and in return his parents not knowing of him, just damn sad man
For some reason August story made me unconsciously silently cry of sadness when he looked at a sealed body of Jack's as a baby later on being abandoned without telling his true identity to his father. (Not sure if it's pity or sympathy) i would like to see a version of August in a what if scenario that did not died but manage to survive to tell his tale to his parents someday.
i actually wanted someone to punch mavis in the face when she said " it's all thanks to guildarts ! " happily i know it's unreasonable because she didn't know anything , but damn it was sad ! i feel for the old guy !
I think August already know about Mavis as his real mother, that's why he stopped the spell he casted when he saw her. I wish he'd come back to the next season of fairytail. 😞
I think it's more sad that even if mavis and zeref knew they had a son they still can't give the love to their son because they will knew that their son will die if they will give love to him, this is because of the curse of his parents....
GrowThug LOL that is why the emperor never once he had a child, because august knew what would happen if he told, the only way to stay close to his father is by not telling him, this what would had happened to Cana if Lucy did not push her towards telling guindarte the truth. And to make more sadder and with more consequences a lot of the stuff Could have been avoided if august told zeref he was his son.
Febri Pratama imho that would have been a better plot if he could have gotten to know mavis at tenrou and make up and go to a journey and come back to fight the then strongest spriggan in a baddass battle. Way better but well i think he would just die on spot due to mavis curse.... damn shame.
*Most tragic character but do yall understand if zeref and mavis know august, He will die because of the curse. 2nd Master hide him so august could live he never told to anyone so he could save him. Aaawwww MY HEART, MY SOUL!!! HIS LONGINGNESS KILLED ME😭😭😭
No matter how many times I watched this it's still depressing as always.
August made me cry like a child. Why is the writer so cruel to him😭😭😭 I just want to hug him!
He so pure he did not tell Zeref he is his son, he loved zeref unconditionally until he aged. He never hated his mother Mavis, and he love his mother unconditionally just by the memories of her. He stopped his purpose of kill everybody just by looking at his mother with love and surrender his life to love.
He knows both of them cannot love him. If they loved him, he will die and that would pain them greatly.
3:03 When your mom gives you that look you know you'll get problems lol
It brokes me when he said i want to be held by you for once
4:10 Mavis's happy that everyone else is saved but I felt bad for August, his mother didnt know who he is😭
im not over this. nope! like fairy tail can hit me with anotha of their sad shit and happy episodes but they’re not getting me past the fact mavis and zeref never found out august was their son. NOPE! NEVER!
chia the only person knew about the fact that August is son of Mavis and Zeref: Hades. But as we know, he died in the earlier arc thus making absolutely no one knows about that fact, even Mavis and Zeref.
badrul amin i know right!
chia hihi👍🏻👍🏻
I cant get over it too 💔
especially when literally every other "tragic" moment turned out to be reversed or softened in some kind of way.
The saddest moment of Fairy Tail man... The one and only time i cried during this anime.
RIP August she will find you in afterlife❤️
Finally got the chance to watch fairy tail and came across this episode...Went and look for this in youtube so i can express myself because of the heartbreak it gave me.. It's just soooo saaaad. Is there no justice for august? No closure? I cant seem to get past this episode.. Already watching the rest but cant shake off this sadness... Really...
Fairy tail is the one with the emotion stuff that make me cry... no other anime makes me cry
Mavis:being extremely smart
Also mavis: didn't understand that he stopped his spell instead of lacking of magic power
fr brah, i thought shes gonna deduct that shi like conan and tell zeref before they both died
@@greatmusic142hahaha I feel exactly
one of the most well done tragic characters in shounen anime history. like damn....
In 100 year quest, Natsu met Zeref living with Mavis, August, Larcade and Igneel.
I feel so bad for August..😟😰😰.. the fact he just needed to see his mother.. the fact his parents didnt even know 😭😭
Oh my goodness. I gave up on this show years ago but my God was this a touching scene.
Bravo. So sad
Hiro Mashima how could you do this to your characters! 😭
he is an asshole
fr smh at least not as bad as a lot of the underrated characters in naruto who lack spotlight xD
desanta Trevor you are not him
No matter how many times I watch this scene, it always make me cry😢
A truly powerful opponent but only stopped to not harm his mother that never seen him, never got love from anyone and wanted revenge and was close to doing so. But one look at his mother he stopped and died in the process. Killing your own mother would be unable to bear with and he chose to not do it. Truly a good boy to not kill or harm his own mother.
Bloody scene. Cant watch it without crying like a baby
He has one of the saddest past :( none of the others characters past gave me the feels but this one got me
Y’know what pisses me off is fairy tail does the power of friendship thing but all the cool villains get nocked off like bitches
August was a legendary charackter
all the mayhem and insanity in this series... and this simple quiet death will always hit the hardest
I find the scene at 1:40 so amazing. Him asking why he was never loved, and then seeing him standing in shadow all alone
悪役というほど悪に染まった思想を持ってる訳でもないし、なんなら他人に優しくできる人なのに生きてから死ぬまで救いが無いキャラってのが凄いし不憫…
Black White
4:40〜
August「一度で良かった、たった一度で…
貴方の手に…抱かれたかった……お母さん!」
this !!! ok?
Black White
You're welcome ! Have a nice day ~
Im gonna I cryed all he ever wanted was love😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
This literally made me cry 😭
No matter how many times I've watched this i always cry again and again
I'm sure if mavis had known he was her son she would have loved him this is just really tragic
I'm crying harder seeing this scene than watching Irene's death when fighting Erxa
One of the saddest moments in anime history 😭
When you realize that the only reason August stopped his spell was because he couldn't bring himself to kill his mother. Once he realized the spell was hurting her, he stopped it, but it killed him before he got the chance to actually talk to her. That moment made me cry.
I'm really crying not just in manga ver but in anime ver, it's really sad in this part..
Fucking amazing character, people need to put some respect on this series just for this.
This hits you different. Very tragic. This, Irene, zeref death scene, aquarius sacrifice and many more.
i remember exactly that i had to pause Fairy Tail after watching this episode, i don't know why but August' death made me feel really uncomfortable with the whole situation going, just dying not knowing the embrace of his mother
and in return his parents not knowing of him, just damn sad man
Almost all springgan deaths are so sad and brutal
For some reason August story made me unconsciously silently cry of sadness when he looked at a sealed body of Jack's as a baby later on being abandoned without telling his true identity to his father. (Not sure if it's pity or sympathy) i would like to see a version of August in a what if scenario that did not died but manage to survive to tell his tale to his parents someday.
Not Jack's it should be Mavis*
i felt sad on few scene for the other side.. really hit my heart.. this scene, acnologia past and zeref death
Whats also sad is that she didn't know she had a kid 😢
I have watched it so many times, but I am still crying😣
Saddest part! August wish that may his mother held him in her arms
Editors intentionally didn't put any sad osts in background for this scene or it could have been a very depressing moment
No one can hate August 😭😭
This is really sad.
I just can't stop crying 😢
i actually wanted someone to punch mavis in the face when she said " it's all thanks to guildarts ! " happily
i know it's unreasonable because she didn't know anything , but damn it was sad ! i feel for the old guy !
The saddest moment and death on entire fairy tail serie.
He literally nerfed the whole country besides the main hero and the 2 main villains and yet seeing his mother was all he wanted
August love for hid mother is just too much
このシーンはほんとに悲しい
Poor August that’s deep man so deep crying
This was really epic
Enough to make a grown man cry.
3rd time watching the anime and I still SOB on this scene.
He didn't even have much screentime but still manage put a great impact
why didnt the 2nd master of fairy tail (I think it was hades) raise august instead?
Dimitris Achilleos because he was the son of the black wizard and there was also the secret of the mavis killing Rita.
I think it was out of fear of what the he could have been but then again look at him now
Well if he raise August, the Grimoire Heart will already destroy Fairy Tail in Tenrou Arc.
Febri Pratama imho that would have been a better plot if he could have gotten to know mavis at tenrou and make up and go to a journey and come back to fight the then strongest spriggan in a baddass battle. Way better but well i think he would just die on spot due to mavis curse.... damn shame.
I feel sad for August!
This really is the most tragic death I always have to cry 😭
I finished this episode last night. It broke heart💔
August* died.... But all guilds members are still alive.. may be they all are *immortal!
*Most tragic character but do yall understand if zeref and mavis know august, He will die because of the curse. 2nd Master hide him so august could live he never told to anyone so he could save him. Its more tragic to be killed by your own flesh but you coudnt anything. i hope so theres side story of this family.*
This scene was so underrated man
You know what makes it sadder. All this time I felt bad for Larcade(Rakheid) because I thought he was the son and he didn't get loved by his parent.
I think the author intentionally do that so LITERALLY no one would love August.
@@azrulrohiza395 making it more sad since, Larcade died as his majesty’s son but August as no one. Maybe in the 12 Springgan, he is known as the Strongest Wizard and in the eyes of the MC’s is the Strongest Enemy but he never wanted to be known as that. He just wanted to be known as Mavis and Zeref’s Child.
@@meyy3667 Larcade didn't die as Zeref's son. Zeref disowned him and even killed him without remorse.
