    Heloo everyone. I had the same problem as you and first stap was to tried several software variants without success . Last staps I decided to open my navigation and surprise, my cable GPS internal it was detached from the plate behind the screen . I solved this issues and finally the GPS work normally. I didn't know if you had the same problem, but it's worth a try.

      Thanks for the info. It may help others but for my unit. It was still connected

    I have the exact same problem. Switched the GPS antenna. It first looked like it worked but it quickly failed again. I took the unit out, opened it up, with & without the GPS antenna connected and started the unit. When measuring the voltage between the GPS antenna solderpoints on the PCB, I measured something between 0.5 to 0.9 Volts, clearly out of the spec for the active GPS antenna to work properly (3-5 V). I guess, the GPS power supply on the radios MCU died. I am currently hesitating to either buy a completely different unit from a different brand or to add an external GPS amplifier in order to the GPS antenna externally.

      In my personal opinion, I’d get a known aftermarket radio such as from pioneer, kenwood etc. or do what I did, have an ipad installed lol.

      @Chris350 I fixed the problem today. As I expected, the powersupply for the antenna was broken.
      I have build a "Bias-Tee" and connected it between the antenna and the radio. Rf was feed through from the antenna to the radio via a coupling capacitor while the power has been delivered via an Rf choke to the antenna. I used the 5V of the USB on the radio itself to do that. Now my GPS works again.
      For anyone else with that kind of problem: Measure with a multimeter on the SMA connector of your Radios GPS. If you do not read anything between 3 to 5V, you are facing the same problem. In order to fix it, buy a GPS Bias-Tee. Those are common products and generally available for a few ten bucks.

      Ah and yes of course: One better buys an after-market radio from a reputative brand rather than chinese clonse. Sad truth, even though the Joying units are not that bad. But if you face a problem, you are on your own. Their support sucks.

      @@systemofapwne if i’d know about this many years ago I would of said they are good radios but being that customer supports answer is “20% discount on buying a new one”. I did get a replacement once, but like 30 days into owning the unit and there was a local supplier that i drove to. I had a bad buzzing noise from the pre-amp outputs.

    No objet should interfer with the antenna ,or try to be ouside not into a garage or building ,or check the cable of the antenna if it well connected.

      @@reklesboy350 only two solutions,first a tester and see the voltage,the correct is 3.1-3.3v dc,the radio android in on and open the gps tester,quit the antena gps, and pick in the gps in the middle of the external connection in the radio unit.No voltage, the problem is a interior wire,o component fired.You have a correct voltage change the antena.

    I add for all the solution (personally experienced this morning on a 2DIN Joying car radio): you have to connect the GPS antenna to the car radio, and power the antenna cable for about 30 seconds with the 5v voltage of a USB socket. After these 30 seconds the USB power supply can be removed, because the car radio will resume by itself to supply the GPS antenna stably. I used one of the two USB sockets on the device. Enjoy ....

      How to Power the antena?

    • @MauroZagor
      @MauroZagor 11 месяцев назад

      @@ricardoparadella5375
      You need to strip the gps antenna cable and strip the shielding and the central pole, then you need to cut the end of a common usb cable, strip the sheath and connect the red wire (pin 1) to the central pole of the gps antenna and the black wire (pin 4) to the gps antenna shield. Now you have to connect both the gps antenna and the usb cable to the car radio and finally turn on the car radio. If you're lucky, after about 20 seconds the GPS signal will return to the car stereo. At this point you can disconnect the USB cable and insulate the shielding and the central pole of the GPS antenna cable.
      Enjoy!
