    Why people don't understand ulip is discipline form of investment unlike mutual funds. You redeem mutual funds for any emergency and hence you cannot create wealth as you keep on taking out ur investments once you know there is no lock in. Ulip is always a better investment if you see the habit it creates in you and talking about 2-3% less return, i would still prefer to go with it as atleast i m continuing my investments without any break. N in long term equity has always proven to give returns compared to short term.

    • @halvincarris
      @halvincarris 10 месяцев назад

      Isn't SIP also a form of discipline. You can do that in mutual funds and get better returns than ULIP.

    • @visfotakvideos5202
      @visfotakvideos5202 10 месяцев назад +2

      @halvincarris He is talking about the discipline of not being able to take out money, not putting in the money. Hope this makes sense.

    • @halvincarris
      @halvincarris 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@visfotakvideos5202 No, it absolutely makes no sense. In MF there is an exit load too which prevents you from taking out money, in ELSS MFs there is a 3 year lock-in too. In addition to this people generally take out their money when they need it for an emergency which is obviously not possible in ULIPs. Now consider if one has lost their job or is hospitalized, do you think they should be focussed more on the "discipline" of investment or use their own money to pay the bills? This is where MFs clearly outshines ULIPs in addition to giving better returns and also giving the flexibility to tweak the SIP amount as per your income source and financial condition. Not being able to withdraw or use your own money is not called "discipline", its called stupidity.

    • @visfotakvideos5202
      @visfotakvideos5202 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@halvincarris I get what you you mean brother. On paper you are absolutely correct. But in reality Mutual funds are the first ones to be taken out even in non emergency situations. For example, it would have made more sense for me to take a loan and not touch my Mutual funds while we were looking to buy a new property (the math I did made it very clear). But what did I eventually do? I took money out of my Mutual funds, why? Here's the "dumb" justifications,
      1) The rate of return calculation is always an assumption
      2) The credit line I didn't use, I might use it in the future
      3) I didn't want to take debt when I already had the money etc.
      As you can see, logically it made more sense to not take money out of Mutual funds, but we are humans and there are always other factors that sway our decisions. I also had a ulip, which I didn't even consider, you know why and thus the world "discipline" or should I say "forced discipline ". 😛

    • @halvincarris
      @halvincarris 10 месяцев назад

      @@visfotakvideos5202 I understand your point, and even you are using the word 'dumb' for your very own decision (I'm not trying to belittle you btw) but I think this is more of a mental conditioning we've seen in this country where we believe using existing money is better than taking loan - perhaps because loans have traditionally been very expensive. Whatever be the reason, I think financial understanding and education can help here rather than giving away our very own hard earned money in the name of charges/commissions to these greedy insurance companies who are quite literally just stealing away the returns. That's why I am advocating mutual funds because a mere 1-2% difference is phenomenal in the long run (like 20-30 years).
      I even suggest that people should always figure out their emergency needs before investments like setting up 6-8 months of money in FD etc. But you have to agree to the point that life these days is extremely uncertain and in genuine emergencies it's important that we at least have access to our money instead of running pillar to post to get a ULIP liquidated which btw is still dependent on the mercy of the insurance company.

    Term plans are costlier if applied for a person at the age of 50. So If a person wants to invest at the age of 50 and wants a term plan too, is ulip better than a separate term plan and mutual fund?

  • @thesolution3300
    @thesolution3300 2 года назад +1

    Long term investers will always go for ULIP. Because of Tax saving under 80C and Also on maturity on 80D fully tax saving. Nearly equal returns . And also extra service is insurance. This plan is derived by companies to get more investers for long term. In return they give insurance to attract more customers. ULIP insurance facility is extra so no comparison with Term insurance.

    Sir agar ULIP ka NFO aata h, aur hum usme lump sum invest kar de One Time, to usme se kuch part insurance k liye jaega, aur baki market me lag jaega?? To wo hum market me sell nahi kar sakte kuch dim baad?? Wo block ho jaega?
    Jaise abhi TATA AIA ka NFO aya hua h.

    Hi yogi ji, I am seeing many videos on ulip vs mutual funds purely on investment basis(not caring about insurance benifit), many ulip supporters are saying that, 4th generation ulip plans have much less expenses, when u want to invest for longterm(like 20yrs), they are saying ulips will give better return than MF simply coz, after 5yrs they start to give you loyalty bonuses and return charges on maturity, no tax on final amount
    So as you made this video 1year back,with these new ulip plans coming, still MF is better strategy than ulip for longterm on investment purpose??

    Ulip is the best option for long term saving + save your all taxes(EEE).
    Mutual fund sort term saving scheme..
    So there is no compression in both product.
    Mutual fund give you sort term returns 2-3 years time periods and there is No tax benefits.
    But Ulip give you Decent returns 5-10years times period with all Tax Benefits.. EEE tax benefits...80C..10(10D)

      Definitely.. I gained more than 9% in hdfc diversified ( but annul charges le duba mere ko) and 80c me mere ko deduction mil gyee... Mere ko tax save karna tha.. Esse badiye koi plan nhi hai long term + tax savings.

    One qes.
    In Ulip - supposed u pay for 5 years monthly still your locking period is 5 yrs. From day 1.
    But in Elss - when you pay, from that day you have to wait 3 years.
    Now which one is better and how?

    or ulip 1010d mai bhi maturity tax free hai
    and aajkal to ydi aap pura maturity tak ulip chalate hai to sabhi charges nil ho jate hai
    mortality charges bhi wapas mil jate hai
    mujhe nhi lgta mutual fund ulip se jyada behtar hai

    Aap ek achcha mutual fund suggest kar sakte hain?...... 2018 se Pehle online ulips Mein 3% pa charges hote the but abhi premium allocation charges 0 hain kuch plans aur mortality charges bhi return hote hain so total cost per year ata hai around 1.5% ka gst ko milake.... Its 4th gen ulip plan..... And zyada diversification, low risk and aggressive allocation multi cap new funds...... Sabsa badiya option rehta hai long term investment ke liye.....mutual fund Mein risk zyada hai aur investor ko uski poori knowledge honi chahiye, par ulip Mein fund manager hota hai jo apne aap change karta rehta hai fund portfolio

    • @mudassarwasta

      Unit linked funds me insurance ke charges kaatne ke baad aapka jo paisa invest hota hai uske management me aur mutual fund me zyada farq nahi hai.
      Mutual fund se hi ULIPs copy huey hain. Fund managers dono me hotey hain. And fund manager portfolio change karta hai iska matlab wo usi fund me stocks buy and sell karta hai. Wo funds me switch nahi karta, ye aapko manually karna padta hai.
      I am not stopping you from.investing in ULIPs, but i just wanted to clear your misconceptions about mutual funds.
      Mutual funds se zyada simplified passive tarika equity me invest karne ka aajtak maine nahi dekha.
      Still, good luck.
