Chongqing is a mega city, well the development in areas varies. The municipality has ​​82,400 square kilometers, the western part of Chongqing -the central area, is like a small passenger liner glittering in the ocean; in contrast, those remote and poor peak districts in the northeast and southeast part of Chongqing are more like the blurry lands behind the Yuzhong Peninsula, the modern city. Probably many Chongqing citizens have no idea of that part of Chongqing, as I do. However, I always have a faith that, Chongqing is not only existing in the bright lights and reinforced concrete, but also living in the jagged mountains of The Three Forges.
During the journey from the city to the mountains, I was first heading to Xiazhuang Village, and finally took a road trip that traveled through the Wushan mountainous area for 7 days, which was also unexpected.
