My neck hurts from head banging! I'm going to sue JYP for authorizing this medical hazard of a song!!! You'll be hearing from my legal team you hear me!! 😂😭👨🏽💼🦁
The way I like to describe it is that 3RACHA knows how to use the instrumental as another member and knows how to use their own voices as another instrument
"Double Knot" Written and primarily produced by members Bang Chan, Han, and Changbin - also known as 3RACHA "Double Knot" combines elements of hip-hop, trap, and EDM to a powerful effect. It's a song about taking control of your own destiny, of owning your story without following a singular path, and running full speed into the unknown. Since their explosive debut, the nine members of Stray Kids have been running - away from the systems that seek to control them, away from the voices inside their heads, and into the thorny maze of adolescence with a broken compass. But with the release of their digital single, "Double Knot," Stray Kids are finally free, running toward nothing in particular but doing so on their own terms❤.
Thanks for your reaction ❤ We don't talk about the ex-member because the Kids don't feel comfortable talking about him. There isn't a public reason why he left, but we prefer not to speculate about it😊 SKZ are 8 talented guys who love and take care of each other ❤
Loved your reaction double knot is definitely one of my favourite of their songs! Aswell as your music analysis which is great to hear. Noone other than them themselves actually know the real reason the ninth member woojin left we just know they've both stated that they don't want to be associated with each other :)
I Would have to say this is one of my absolute all time favourites!! I can’t listen to it around other people because my body just takes over and I start dancing 💃🏾 to the choreography. Driving in the car is dangerous with me if this song, charmer, easy megaverse or Lalalalala is on. But I really can’t help it. Haha Watching you sitting there quietly with the biggest smile on your face! 😆🤣 says it all!! I ditto everything you said about what you loved about it. Jinnie, ate this up!!!! The dance break 😮 nuf said 😊
I LOVELOVE this song! I was about a month into my Stray Kids journey (at the end of 2022) when I found "Double Knot". It was an instantaneous favorite (as were "Side Effects", "Victory Song", and "Easy"). In each of these songs, to me at least, the music served first-- and the lyrics were there to narrate the path on your aural tour. The fact that 3Racha could birth such uniquely different songs, and each with music so powerfully emotive -- just screamed "talent" to me, and I realized I was a goner. [Just like (for me) the instrumentals in Prince's "Purple Rain", and Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" - the music just takes you somewhere, changes you a little bit, and then brings you back safely.] I totally agree that 3Racha march to their own drums, and let their music & lyrics breathe, as you said, Amari. Love your reactions!
The 9th member is Kim Woojin. He is now a solo act, and very, very talented and worth a listen. You might want to check a few of his videos out. You might enjoy hearing him.😊👍
There's a dance practice and also a performance video for the English version (I love the setting for that one). I highly recommend both. Did you notice in the end they bounce back like when you've tied something and pull? Like a reverberation. I really like the effect it creates. Just because, I'm going to recommend you watch/listen to Lonely St. (has an MV) and Silent Cry.
Double knot is a great song (there's an english version if you want to check it and it doesn't loose the vibe of the song) I love all their styles but their harder fiercer side always gets me! Think that's why I have a hard time picking between the 2 Lalalala's I love the hype original but boy do I love the heavier version...maybe even a little bit more lol
I don't know how long I'll write here cause I just started watching. Just wanted to tell you a bit about the 9th member, Woojin. After he left the group, they distributed his lines mainly between Han and Seungmin, Han getting the higher notes at this point, also cause he's a freaking ACE that can do it all, but also cause they were still new, still learning, evolving, so he was really the only one who could really carry those notes that were now missing. Also, IF! someone here writes bad things about him, I can tell you that they're 99% rumors and that he was also falsely accused of harassment while leaving. So PLEASE, I know you're not the person to hate on someone, so It's just to say for his sake, Don't "add" to the heat on that. I saw some reactors that call him Voldemort now whenever he "accidentally" appears in a song or a random compilation, cause he's the one whose name shall not be said around this fandom and it always makes me sad when they do that to him. He really doesn't deserve it. He's human...It's been freaking 3 years since then, people should stop this hatred already. Woojin is a solo artist now, he's got good music and, great voice obviously, but cause you're in STAYvill now, I won't suggest reacting to him, but just for yourself to listen :) Going back to your reaction, My friend, you just make me happy. I wrote the previews part, got a little sad, got back to the video, saw you smiling, and just got an instant HUGE smile too. I'll say it a thousand times more probably, but I LOVE how you explain music. Especially in the last ones that I watched when you talk about the power of silence in a song, the impact of it on the listener, and in the song obviously, it gives it...More...Just more. The feeling is intensified, you're tuned in even more to the song. There's definitely an adventage to them being 8 and not 18, and the fact that they write, compose, and arrange everything themselves gives them the freedom to play with their music how they want to and distribute the lines the way they see fit, and THEY FIT! LoL Also, This song is on my top favorites for Stray Kids (Just in their case It's impossible to do a top 10, maybe top 45 list is more accurate)
Thank you for the information! I also appreciate you enjoying my videos, that's one of the main reasons I make them; so we can collectively enjoy this musical journey together! And makes sense, I can see why you love the song so much, it's fire! 🔥
Lol, yes! It's been about 4 years since Woojin left. He has a beautiful voice but doesn't seem to have a lot of his own music out yet. I am looking forward to that. Lots of covers though, so you can get a good idea of his style. There's enough room for everyone...no one needs to be thrown off the bus. 🎼🎶
YOU MADE ME SOOOO FREAKING HAPPY WITH THIS COMMENT!!!!! Everyone always fight me over my opinion on Woojin or really diss him. You're so awesome!!! @@lisanoetzelmann2763
Ok watched further into the vid and i like your take about space in songs and line placement. Very good point that i hadn't pulled into thought of why i particularly like some songs
If you like this, you will like a lot of their older stuff. It's the era when they were still looking for their own flavor while still being distinctively them but there is lot more dark hiphop, trap and edm vibes. Like Easy that you already reacted to. Miroh is from this era and had the 9 members.
So you just casually dropping legendary bangers and it's just their "older stuff"!? What other older stuff am I missing cause you naming HITS friend! lol
@@AmariLeone heheh, I like their older stuff, never said its just the older stuff but maybe my Finnish is showing through and I try not to be too.... Forceful(!?) I dont know aight. If you wanna truly hear the depth and rawness of Felix's voice I strongly recommend Victory Song cuz it's so hard! Definitely up there along with double knot, Easy, and District 9 !!
I want to put into context a little of why Woojin’s leaving Stray Kids was so impactful and it has little to do with the allegations as those happened months after he left. First off, the boys had such a close bond and worked hard to debut TOGETHER, as a 9 member group. They almost didn’t, Felix and Lee Know nearly being dropped from the lineup. So to have someone they all worked so hard with throw that away pretty much minimized their experience. It’s like realizing that a deep close friendship was only that on your end, and finding out your best friend is willing to throw all that away. Secondly, related to above, the boys were so deeply hurt that they poured their hearts out to fans during their District 9 tour, crying and begging for Stay to stay with them. They were afraid that not keeping the promise of OT9 was going to disappoint the fans who had been with them and supporting them. Third, a lot of things were happening in the kpop world at the same time, and the timing was just terrible. At least three other people from popular boy groups also left their groups in the same month, one of which was due to false accusations. And it was the same month that another well known kpop artist passed away (Sulli) so all of this was fresh in our minds at the time. Woojin gave no reasons for why he left, so comparatively, it didn’t make sense. You’ll often see “8 is Fate” rolling around the fandom, and that is a direct result of Woojin leaving, something to cope and rationalize the event. Woojin was meant to be a solo artist; Stay Kids was meant to be 8 members. It just hurts that they had to go through that feeling of betrayal and insecurity to get there. That’s all I have, people can correct information if they please, but 2019 was a hard year for kpop because people were leaving their groups all over the place.
We just don't talk about Woojin simply because he is no longer in the group, so what is there to talk about? However, fyi, Woojin was the eldest member born in April of 97. He was also the Main Vocalist. His leaving put a lot of pressure on the rest and we are so lucky Seungmin took on the challenge. He was originally used for his baritone to compliment Felix. The boys don't talk about Woojin just as he doesn't talk about them. It is in the past, eyes on the future. Woojin is a fairly successful solo artist, i do like his work. His style is different from SKZ so this may have been a factor. Truth is, we don't know why he left, no one does, only the company and members. Everything else is speculation. Officially it was for personal reasons. I look at it like this, things are the way it is meant to be. Skz wouldn't be who they are today if he did not leave. How many iconic moments would we have missed out on if he was still there.
I wasn't intending to retread the past or imply the way they've gone now is how it shouldn't have been, just commenting I didn't know anything about him. I agree that the boys have continued onto greatness.
@AmariLeone Oh I didn't take it that way. I read another comment saying the boys don't like to talk about him so some stay act as if he never existed. He did exist. He was part of their sound and helped to get them to where they were until he left. Just as pretty much everyone said Woojin was their main vocalist. Seems there was a lot of unfortunate things to happen with Woojin after leaving Stray Kids. But he seems to be bouncing back. I listen to his solo music and he is such an amazing vocalist. Still Dream and Purple Sky will have you in your feels. He so talented. He’s also branched out into acting.
