Hey ZXMany, I just thought of a really fun idea for Super Mario 3D World, Can a death area kill enemies in the game, I know normal enemies can but what about like bosses ?
I played this tower and did a challenge in the process. Remember Endurance Alley from Mario Party 6? You have to consecutively beat 100 Minigames in order to advance. I did that challenge. Since one loss is Game Over here, I decided to attempt it myself, hopefully beating the Tower before getting a Game Over. Sadly, things didn't go well. I came close but sadly unsuccessful. Best I've gone is the 28th Floor.
I've seen multiple videos of people playing Bowser's Tower besides this one, and I can comfortably say that this is the first time that I have seen someone lose while traversing the tower. Every other video I watched was a perfect playthrough: winning the regular minigames and not taking damage during the boss minigames.

Great question, I think it doesn’t. I tried lava, and I think that didn’t kill most bosses. I’ll maybe have to try death areas
