I know a lot of people say this, but the relationship the two of you have, is what I want for myself. Mutual understanding and having clean, genuine fun. Someone to offset and encourage my playful nature.
I feel like buttercream boards has the potential to be our RachhLovesLife branded thing - just a line of cute boards, little knives, cute themed toppings to sprinkle on top, a cookbook/lifestyle book with accompanying drink ideas from Chris...I'd buy it.
I've watched this channel for a few years. I was a cake baker and worked 2/4 am to noon depending on the season, Tuesdays through Saturdays. On Saturday, I'd get off at noon, work out, then settle into bed and watched Rachel's video before I took a nap to get powered up for my weekend. I did this every Saturday for at least 2 full years. Now, I work at a bank with Saturdays off, working normal hours. And I find myself missing that quiet hour where I'd watch these videos and take a little nap before my weekend began. So every Saturday, I try to set aside a special time to watch the video by myself and have some self care time. I really appreciate Rachel being the leader of my me time for so long.
I just recently went to a restaurant that did the butter candles, they did them as small tea light candles in a small cast iron skillet with the bread on the side to dip once the candles burned out and it was so good.
I’ve made the Christmas tree bread sticks for years but I also use chopped artichokes in the dip and blend the cheese into the dip. I brush it with melted garlic butter and sprinkle with parm. It’s a favorite of the party guests. I also made it into a football shape for the Super Bowl.
I LOVE my Saturdays with Rach! I look forward to them every week. Last week my husband asked me why I was watching a video about making alcoholic drinks, since I don't drink myself. I told him I was having fun just watching the conversations between Rachel, Chris and Dibs!😄❤️
Watching this while recovering in the hospital from a big hip surgery. Normally I’m not a christmas fan but something about your personality and your way of going about Christmas makes me wanna get into this mood. You brighten my mood these last couple of days while I struggle with my mental health after the surgery. I love your videos and your energy ❤❤❤❤
So it’s whipping cream and hot chocolate powder whipped so basically homemade chocolate whipped cream for your hot chocolate?? Yes please!!! ❤❤❤ these videos make me feel so happy and gives me ideas for my family.
There is a fruit dip that would be amazing on that board. It's simply marshmallow cream and strawberry cream cheese mixed together. Yum! Merry Christmas to you and the family! Thanks for the great videos! ♥️
I’ve never tried it with STRAWBERRY cream cheese! Only regular cream cheese and it’s always been a fav of mine since I was a wee one. Now I’m totally trying strawberry cream cheese this year. Why has it never even crossed my mind to use strawberry cream cheese when that’s my fav flavor of cream cheese.
Hi, all 8:00 just buy two pastries: one you fill in and then put the other one in top. Afterwards create the form you want to with a pizza cutter. Then you can eat the extra pieces 😉 and still have something nice to present to your guests Plus: if you brush it with a yolkbath it’d look better
You need to try Apple Pie on the rocks! 1oz vodka, 1oz fireball, 4oz apple juice, dash of vanilla (or just use vanilla vodka) and mix, pour over ice. Optional: rim the glass with brown sugar and garnish with cinnamon stick. SO GOOD! (You need to drink this for me because I can't - Im pregnant!)
You need to try a cheesecake dip board!!! Add graham sticks, pretzels, waffle crisps, apples, strawberries!!! And maybe throw in a tad of butterscotch schnapps to give your drink the buttery ness you would get in a cinnamon bun.
I think a disposable shot glass would work better for the garlic butter, as the cup looks like so much butter. Looks yummy though 😋. My favourite Christmas treat is a raspberry cream cheese candy cane. Delicious 😋 😋 😋
Yes! A narrower candle might’ve worked better. This one was just too wide for the heat of the flame to really reach the edges. (or a multiple wick situation if you wanted something wider?)
Just had our Christmas party last night and I made that cranberry jalapeno dip from your other video and my husband loved it so much! I used a mixed berry and a jalapeno whipped cream cheese under it and it was definitely a hit.
We live near a nature preserve with a lot of deer and we have a Ring camera outside our back door. My favorite Ring videos are of deer coming to eat the plants in the planter by the door and then walking right up to the camera to investigate the light. Last week one almost rang the Ring doorbell with his nose!
Loved those recipes. 🥰 Just one tip for the buttercream board: isolate the buttercream from the wood, butter takes on flavour and wooden boards often release it into moisture. I once served a cake on a wooden board and the bottom tasted woodsy, it was very annoying after all the work.
GANACHE BOARD! Seriously while you were doing the buttercream board all I could think about was chocolate ganache frosting. That would be perfect with fruit. It's like a more chill version of chocolate fondue. Section it up like Chris suggested and do milk and dark chocolate ganache, vanilla and peppermint buttercreams. AMAZING! How is it not already all the rage?
@@RachhLovesLife Just finished your video! :) My favorite was by far the pizza tree situation haha - I'm not an alcohol drinker so that one didn't appeal to me but the dalgona hot chocolate idea was really cool! I 100% hopped on that train during quarantine and so the hot chocolate version would be cool. I haven't been on TikTok in like a hot minute but now I have to go investigate "butter board" - I've NEVER heard of that!! The garlic butter candle was GENIUS haha. I love how you are sitting there being so meticulous and planning out everything you're going to do - that's SOO me. Meanwhile everyone else is over there just winging it and they're done with their stuff before I even started LOL Great video as always! Keep being your awesome self 💙
Fun ice. I have two cats and keeping them from the trees is….a miracle. It’s the new miracle on my street. My youngest has been slowly unwrapping this giant present that’s for my niece. I keep catching her. She just looks at me and smiles. Yes smiles.
I would think that if you use a bees wax wick it would be safe, as it is safe to ingest bees wax. And when we were 80s and 90s kids growing up we had candies called wax bottles that were little wax bottles filled with a candy syrup shaped like soda bottles, those never harmed any of us 80s and 90s kids!
Rachel at Epcot in Disney there’s a restaurant in the Canada pavilion that serves a beef fat candle with a charcuterie board. It’s very French evidently
I love that you guys grew up on the red/pink Creme Soda! I did too and I love it! It’s hard to find in the northeastern United States. (I was born and raised in the Midwest-Ohio.) Love you both, love your content. Wishing you the happiest holiday season! 💜
I would do the butter candle with the christmas tree bread, maybe as the "star" on top, letting the candle melt into a bowl to dip the breadsticks into. Also I think you'd want a wick with a higher burn temp so that the butter both melts and heats (or have the serving situation be over a warming plate) but I don't know enough about candle making to know if that wick would then make your butter unsafe to eat.
The butter candle would probably work so well with some oil in it to make it overall softer. And then set deeper into the bread. Maybe like multile tea light sized ones in a baguette or something like that. Or put it into an already warm loaf
I grew up on the pink Cream Soda and the clear one was never available. At one point my grandfather introduced me to the clear one. Much Much better. The pink one is OK but the clear one is AMAZING!
The butter candle works like any other candle and should not end in a pool of butter equal to the amount you started with. If the wick is sized appropriately the melted butter is "wicked" up and vaporized. So most of the melted butter should end up as fuel to feed the flame. Butter's low melting point though would cause more drippage than a standard wax candle.
Try making a dip candle instead of a pour and put a few in candle holders on a tray of different breads. Could even do dif flavors for diff breads like a cinnamon over Hawaiian or pound cake
You should try the butter candle with a smaller size, like a ... votive size. Would be a cute accent, especially on a cheese board. And less mess if it's a disaster.
My husband and I went to Asheville for our 10 year wedding anniversary and ate at Asheville proper. Our first course was an edible candle and bread! It was amazing!!
I'm a little late, to the party, but have you ever made cinnamon French toast? I added vanilla to the egg wash, and made an icing, to go on it. I toasted the bread, for a minute, as well.
You should try Russian Buttercream. 1 can condensed milk, 1 cup unsalted butter, 1/4 tap salt 2tsp vanilla extract. Mix for 8-10 minutes. You won’t regret it
I only know Cream Soda as being pink. I’m in Canada 🇨🇦 so I’ve probably had the same brands you have. What other colour does Cream Soda come in? I want to make that Christmas tree with the tear apart branches right now!! I wonder how it would turn out if you used the crescent roll dough instead of the pizza dough?? Merry Christmas to both of you and your families!!! ❤ 🎄
Crush cream soda is pink because it's actually Swiss cream soda. Regular cream soda is clear. I'm also Canadian and grew up with the pink one - I like it more.
In the US cream soda is sort of a light tan color because it's not clear. It's very sweet and it's very strong with vanilla flavor and the only one I have seen is usually made by Canada Dry. I'm surprised that you don't have that brand in Canada.
A really good holiday drink is cinnamon whiskey with apple whiskey. Tastes like an apple pie. 1:1 ratio. We do it as shots and as sippers, so it's up to you.
I know a lot of people say this, but the relationship the two of you have, is what I want for myself. Mutual understanding and having clean, genuine fun. Someone to offset and encourage my playful nature.

Snowflakes or like snow man for the butter cream board…I personally love the idea of the snow man cuz then you can actually dress the snow man

Buttercream board is essentially a dunkaroos charcuterie board and I love it

If you stager the cuts you can go all the way to the center
Nothing says Christmas time more than Rachel's iconic line of "lifting random corners and adding some cheese".

Excited for this video 😍
Rachel use a piece of hickory wood as a wick, since they use that for the smoke process in bbq. Such as the candles that as wood for a wick.

Is it just me or is Chris slowly morphing into one of those 'hometown' guys from a Hallmark Holiday movie?!?
Thank you for this new video ☺️
I think I'd do a cream cheese board; pipeable cream cheese dips with three or four variations including a sweet one that would be good with fruit.

I think if you did equal parts pecan whiskey and cinnamon whiskey and then did the cream soda as the mixer it would be more cinnamon roll-esque.
Love the butter candle idea 🕯️
Omg and you have to try iced unsweet tea with a little bit of rumchata sooooo good 🤠
Oh! The garlic butter candles as votives for each person at a crab feed! I’m on it - invites to follow!
I just made the spinach dip Christmas tree bread sticks for my Christmas Eve dinner. My family loved it. Thank you and Merry Christmas? 🎄

Hi Tater.
Happy New Year.

So much fun! Thank you for the giggles 😂
Hi Peggy.
Happy New Year.
How are you today?🌹🌿
Also, i make a mean tiramisu dip with mascarpone that would work great on a board like that (with or without rum)
Eggnog and Fireball!!! You must try this!! I don't drink and this is delicious!!
Also, do the buttercream board but with different flavors of stabilized whipped cream. Then fruit would work really well
I normally fast forward through sponser ads, but I didn't so I could watch the puppies. 🥰🐶🥰🐶
I love your hair in this video!! :)

I feel like hemp string and candy mold wax would be the easiest thing to make the wick from, since they are both edible?
I’m definitely stealing the fruit butter board idea for Christmas!

Isn’t that hot chocolate with chocolate whipped cream?
What kind of pizza dough did you use for the Xmas tree?
Fireball, pineapple and apple pucker. Cinnamon applesauce shot!
And maybe adding more than one wick to butter candle would also help it melt faster but maybe do a smaller candle too.
Barry Lewis does the ‘Christmas tree’ very well.
For the pizza dough I think if you cut it diagonally you’ll get two triangles that are the same size.
That would be a very skew tree though 😄
I think the tree could be done with pie crust doe and pie filling or nutella or something as a sweet option
