Hey Ruby, can you please do a "what's on my laptop" video? Because I would really like to see how you keep/organize all the notes and other stuff on your computer :D
Hannah Ganeeva Yes I would love to see that as well. A "Programs and websites every student should know" or "How to keep everything organised on your laptop" would be amazing. :)
I know that Ruby uses Google Documents to write her notes which I do personally also. It is an amazing forum that you should check out. you can also sent and make forms, presentations and Exelerated documents for free from Google as well. I hope this was helpful! x
How to take textbook notes 1.put some small memo on the main headings of the book you are currently studying ,peel off the small memo when you finished a chapter 2.read through the book once and highlight the key points, and then organise your notes from the key points you highlighted 3.separate your notes into different sections, such as vocab, key quotes, key date ,key people 4.use bullet points in every introdutive phrase 5.ensure that your notes are as good as they possibly can be 6.compare your notes to your class notes, drop down any information that you are missing 7.add some extra informations to your notes that is overhead your learning areas in school 8.colour code your notes according to the objectives 9.make sure that you’ve understand all the topics before you write the notes,if you find your notes are not making sense, find a alternative resources or a video online,or just go to ask your teacher for help 10.make sure your notes are comprehensive Please don't mind to correct me if I've make any mistakes, thx
Ruby, in agreement with another comment, can you please do a "what's on my laptop video" or (to make it fit the exam season videos) "how to organize a laptop to study for exams" and show us your daily run-down of your computer programs and websites
I liked the idea about writing a few notes on each passage and then typing that up. I usually copy the textbook word for word which I do know is not going to help me remember it at all. I'm looking for revision tips and ideas that work for me since I need to get a revision pattern before my exams next year. Keep up your great work!
Hi Ruby! I'm Andrianna ! I am a bit nervous talking to youtubers but I want to tell that I love you! You are the best youtuber ever and it seems that we have a lot of same interests! Have a happy and productive week...!
Dear Ruby, keep posting this kind of videos. Love watching them. Don't worry about the negative comments from some viewers which are very few but instead think of all your fans who adore you to the core. Take care
Hiii ruby , I don't know if you'll read this or not but If you do I want to say thank you very much. I just subscribe your channel and wacth all of ur video for half week and it's really motivated me to studying more harder. You're such an inspiration for me, don't read that hate comments that say bad thing about ur studying habit ! Maybe they're just not as diligent as you. Love you 😘
Ruby Granger Just wondering...Have you seen the movie, "Beauty and the Beast", with Emma Watson? If you have then what is you favorite clip? Mine is when Belle's dad is singing and fixing the music box. Love your video's. :3 From NY
I have used the outline method for all of high school, but it takes so long to write out (we are not allowed typed notes) and the sequence of events aren't always as clear. I like the way they look but since I'm taking some online classes now I think I'll try your system and do it online. Thanks for the tips!
Hello, Ruby. Please make a video on how to mark your own essay. I really need help on that because I do not know how to change to a teacher's mindset. Thank you in advance. 👋😊
Hi Ruby, I'm a HUUGEEE fan of you and your youtube channel and you honestly inspire and motivate me everyday to study hard and achieve my goals so pls keep up the amazing work and ILY!!!
can I be prepared in one month for my first day of school if I start today?I would like to have the best grades for this year (sorry for my english :/)
This is going to be so helpful. Thank you so much. I'm so nervous about my exams coming up because it's the first year I have to take them and I'm scared I'm going to fail. Thank you!!!
What do you normally do with the written up things on your laptop?Do you print them out and place it in a folder? Also could you make a video on English/English literature revision,I have an English lit gcse in a few weeks so any tips would help a lot. Thanks for these videos
I was studying whilst watching this video, and when the first book came which was geography my reaction was: "Wow! That's such a coincidence! I'm studying geography right now!"
The prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said : "Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge , Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradis .People don't gather in the houses of Allah, reciting the book of Allah and studying it together , but that tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will cover them, angels will surround them and Allah will mention them to those near him".
I am waiting for your new video. You did a very good job. I know you will not reply but pls. Make a video about how to focusin studying. Thank you... Keep on making videos.
Hey loved your video and I am going to try it and also I have a request can u plz do a video of "how to write answers? " plz it will be really helpful thank u 😊😊
Wow, what a great idea! 😃😃Loved your video so much. 😍😍😍😍You are such a blessing in this exam season. Can't thank you enough for this!😙😙😙😙😙How about, #Granger'sGuidetoExams or #Ruby'sGuidetoExams?
I'd say typing because it's faster, neater, and you can edit them later without having to rewrite the whole thing. However, if you're a slow typer, or your computer is slow, this may not be practical. Also, some people learn facts by handwriting them, so it may help you learn the facts if you write them :)
Both have advantages. As for writing them up, you kind of have more freedom of doing different types of highlighting or even drawings. In a computer or a tablet, you can't do the exact same scrawls you can do by hand. Also is less distracting, because with a computer your tempted to open Facebook or RUclips while your studying. Besides there's a few teachers that are very annoying and don't allow students to use any kind of electronics in class. However typing your notes up is faster, your hand doesn't get tired, the calligraphy is obviously prettier and more understandable and you can edit your notes and don't have to rewrite the whole thing or use liquid paper. In conclusion, if for you is easier to remember information by organizing it in sort of a weird way or by drawings I suggest you to use a notebook. But if you don't have the best handwriting, you're not very organized or can't write fast enough to keep up with the teacher i suggest you to take notes in a laptop.
I was wondering, wouldn't it be more effective to write your notes by hand, or at least after typing them up, try summarising the key details by hand into a revision-note book? In the exam, obviously you will have to write out the answers by hand, so wouldn't writing the revision notes by hand make you remember them better when it comes to the exam? Please respond soon!
Ruby uses a Word Processor in exams, so that may be why. Also, for me, typing is considerably faster, easier, and means I can edit them after. However, both methods have their benefits, and it's completely up to you. Many people, as you said, learn by writing them out by hand, and it can be useful to practise writing, so that's a good option too
Emma granger Hi there. I'm not Ruby, but I think I could answer the question as well. I think Hermione would paint her nails occasionally. Not on a daily basis, but I can imagine her using natural colours for special occasions like weddings. However I think it's more likely that she uses clear polish in her daily life here and there for a shiny look. I guess she would avoid fancy colours.
Siby Lina thank you you're very helpful as I am going to my little brothers communion very soon do you think hermione would paint her nails white as I do not know that many fancy nail polishes :-) thank you for your answer and I will definitely thake that on board have a nice day xx
I remember you once said you use a laptop/word processor in exams. May I ask why you use this? Is it because of a medical condition or simply because you want to/have bad handwriting etc. If it's the latter, how did you arrange to use a laptop?
Hi Ruby! I was just really curious of how you are always so motivated to do all these and not give up? I always try to be motivated but fail in a few days :(
Pinterest is great for motivational quotes (I believe Ruby has a Pinterest herself with studying motivation quotes as well). Also, revision timetables/plans can be great for keeping motivated. I often find that once I start, it's easier to carry on. I also watch Study With Me videos, like Ruby's, or GCSE results videos (or whichever exam you're taking). Remember that everyone feels demotivated sometimes, and it's okay to have an unproductive day once in a while. The best thing for this, that I've found, is when I feel demotivated, I will plan a few set things that I want to get done, and I won't let myself take a break until I've done those things (this is better, for me, than saying "2 hours of...", because it makes me more productive). It can be less things than usual, but make sure you write down a specific task (e.g. "maths past paper" or "annotate two chapters of Jane Eyre"). If you have a whole period of feeling unproductive, try and do less, but consistently. So, revise for less time per day, but ensure you are revising regularly every day. This makes it easier to keep going and less likely to fall into a complete slump. However, if it's because you're tired or stressed, sometimes it's better to just put your books away, get into some comfy clothes and watch a movie or something. One day off will make you so much more productive in the long run. I hope this helped
Neither is necessarily better. It's different for different people. (1) Do you write or type in exams? It's good to practise your style. (2) How fast are you at writing legibly? You don't want to waste time spending ages over notes. (3) Typing: You can edit it after. (4) Writing: You learn as you write.

Ruby Granger thank you ruby love your videos have a nice day

Hi Ruby! I've been sexually abused, mentally and phisically bullied in school. Can you do a video on how to deal with that? Thank you..
Hi, you poor thing! Having not gone through it myself, I don't feel that I would be the right person to give tips but you know that you are really strong and brave for even asking this. Is there an adult that you trust that you can talk about this with? xx
I talked about it with my parents and class teacher but bullies didn't stop...They follow me and nothing will make them stop....
leave school completely
do homeschooling instead and goto college at 16
you don't have to do ten gcse's maybe just do English and or maths as a private candidate if you want to or do them in college.
I suggest therapy
I would but I have very strict parents and even tho they would try to help me,they would be mad because they will think it's all my fault..They are that type of parents who think kids under 18 can't be depressed, suicidal, bullied and so on...Or they think that it will ruin their reputation...Thanks again.
Maybe #examswithruby ?

How long does it typically take you to read and take notes on a textbook chapter?
n. jewel, I’m not sure for her but I use the same methods and it usually takes me about 1-2 hours to complete a chapter , but my chapters are fairly long.
Hey is byhearting good
