Hi! Very very late to this video, as you can tell, but I was recently accepted as a Tulane Honors Scholar! I was wondering how likely it is I get into Wall residence with this? I'm aware it's far from guaranteed, but I much much much prefer this dorm for the bathrooms LOL

Pretty much guaranteed! (Just make sure you fill out the housing application when it comes out)

Hi, your videos are so helpful and informative so thank you. I was wondering if you knew anything about Tulane's Creative Premedical Scholars Program. When do you apply and how competitive is it(like its acceptance rate). Thanks again!

you apply for creative premed scholars during your 2nd year at Tulane. If you show dedication towards a liberal arts major and perform well in your premed classes, then you should be competitive for the program. I challenge you to continue taking science classes throughout your time during undergrad since CP scholars often times struggle in med school

@@AlexSuh Do you know how many applicants apply and how many make it in?

@Alex Suh What GPA would you say you need to make it into the honors college at Tulane University and do they factor in your SAT score when deciding whether or not you get admitted into the honors college.

From the time I made this video (it has changed over time), if you are in the top 10% of accepted individuals according to your academic index score (which factors in SAT and GPA), then you will be accepted. The Honors college has evolved over time and everyone is able to be part of it, as long as you put in the effort to put together a thesis by your 4th year. Most students in the honors college end up not doing their thesis because it takes a lot of time and effort.

Hi Im a rising senior and Tulane is one of my top choices. I am looking to apply to the Altman program and I was wondering if you knew how competitive it is to get in as well as the rigor of the classes. It seems like a very interesting program!!

Hey! It is the most competitive business program for undergrads, but the opportunities are VERY attractive. It consists of an application (which relies heavily on test scores and GPA) as well as a webinar interview through Skype where you can show of your interpersonal skills. The classes are difficult and the courseload is high (like 22 credits per semester), but you get to study abroad in Southeast Asia the summer after your freshmen year as well as both semesters of your junior year to a country of your choice (likely where your foreign language is spoken).
I would have done this program if I didn't want to pursue medicine. Unfortunately, you cannot pursue disciplines in other schools, but the connections made through the program are what make it one-of-a-kind.

Oh boy, I just committed and I was unaware of the updates to the honors program. Being in honors was my main pull to Tulane... could you go a bit more in-depth as to the changes? When I read the email I understood it as the honors program was being expanded, not destroyed.

Audrey H if you want to text me I can tell you about it 949-599-6144 its not going to affect us as a class at all and we still get all the perks!

Don't worry. The honors program will remain intact (it still is prioritized for the top 10% accepted to Tulane); however, it's just that the opportunities within the program will be opened up to non-honors students, such as scholarships and research. Beforehand, those who were not in the honors program could not participate in these resources, so there was likely a complaint that caused the change. I believe that honors housing and other resources will still be given to honors students.
