As a FF&E designer using revit sometimes we have 100s of sheets for rooms with FF&E 1/50 plans / sections and schedules. ill have to look into this dynamo node, but not sure if learning it will take longer than banging out 100s of sheets lol....one thing that really mifs me is that sectional views don't cut furniture. Really annoying......Just been on autodesk website and this request to make all families cuttable in sections has been accepted (04-08-2021).....and has been added to the roadmap. So lets see when this feature shows up.. guessing it was accepted to soon to be added to 2022. Ahh...your talking about it at 50 mins in! was just watching along..Just hope i dont have to remake all my parametric furniture families, my guess is i might have to, in the new furniture template
One little feature that you didn't mention that I think is really nice, and a why didn't we have this before, is rotating tags so they do not have to be 90, 180. so nice for when you have wings on angle rather than square.
Really looking forward to trying out 2022! On a somewhat unrelated note, Do you ever have issues exporting dwgs that export blank? I often times have to check my dwg exports and if the file size is too small ( less than 100kb), it usually did not export right, and I need to restart revit and do it again?
oh man just realized no direct link to twin motion in 2022, thank god I didn't take model too far, I have to go back to 2021 and rebuild the parts I did in 2022. just mentioning so it doesn't happen to someone else.
All this talk about pdf exporting….just get diroots prosheets. It’s free and allows you to export with custom names abased on parameters…and you can export dwgs, ifc, etc at the same time. Also a very simple and easy to use interface. And it’s free!!!!
@@TheRevitKid yes, it was talked about after I posted this comment…but it was the CTC package (which apparently costs a couple of hundred dollars) which was spoken about more in-depth. It definitely rocks! That’s why I keep bringing it up! Thanks as always for the great content!!!
Hahhhh, The filter family is impressive, but we are still waiting until revit can convert new files to old files hahha. That would be much more impressive. I hope so
@@TheRevitKid sometimes my client is using the old version, and I'm frustrated how to change to the old version without losing any elements, btw I don't like ifc
Great and detailed session! The revision numbering changes are great, but unfortunately running multiple drawing sets with their own revision logic in one model can still be a challenge, as duplicate revision numbers are not allowed, even between different revision numbering sets. You still have to use a workaround like hidden asci characters or repurposing another field for the revision number. To address this, consider voting on this idea: forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/allow-duplicate-revision-numbers/idi-p/7614917
Actually I'm usually avoiding long videos.. but your "lives" are really worth watching every time! Thanks! :)
So glad you enjoy!!! Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks for the live!
Always a nice moment seeing passionate people sharing stuff.
thank you both for this webinar :D !
Great content thanks for keeping live sessions rolling man!
Cheers Tim!
That revision prefix, suffix is good for us in Europe, we have Letters and Numbers combined for design detail - Construction Phases etc
guys i'm enjoyng this live series better than aaaanything! Cheers
Awesome live stream. Thanks for the video. New sub here. Followed you for years, but just discovered your YoutTube.
Awesome! Thank you!
RVT exporting is very good for PDF/DWGs you can export both at the same time
OH MY GOSH the filter by family name and type yes.. finally...
I feel like mine and Aarons best features are the same XD.
The different revision seq are for different plan-sets, for architekt, plumbing or construction...

Learning it will NOT take longer than 100s of sheets... not to mention once you do it once, you wont have to do it again!
I would love multi-select in schedules to change values similar to the filter overrides.
Diroots prosheets does pdf and drwg at same time, with customers naming etc...best tool ever...

Yes, we didn't mention them ALL!! That is a useful feature.
Hey what was that pen tool used by Aaron to color his screen share?
Phasing still broken for MEP. I think I heard in some video that they were actually finally working on it. Hoping we get it this decade.

Can't say I have run into that before...
hey @therevitkid can we get some timestamps in the description for each new feature in the video?
you mentioned that slab edges can now be schedule can they be tagged, have looked around and have not found a method
In your opinion, why don't they add the copy/monitor option for the beams (structure framing)
No idea why they won’t? Not enough people ask??
The schedule changes are cool, its a good step for revit. but overall they still need to improve the architectural side.
We use XrevTransmit for simultaneous PDF DWG export
Thanks for the shout! Always good to have options!
AntRename is a good tool to rename lots of Files in bulk
Timestamps would be great for these hour long vids. Love the content
Jake, I am working on it! With 55+ hours of content its a process I need to hire out.

Yes, direct link is not available.. Yet. With Enscape as well.
Whats the name de first app ???? prxl? plfrx? please...
Which one? All of the links mentioned are in the description now.
I think you are referring to Parallax Team - its a company, ,not an add-in.

Agreed... And I think we mentioned that we both haven't used "default" printing in Revit in quite some time... DiRoots rocks!
