In the 1980s I was an autistic recluse kid bookworm who LOVED classic TV shows, old black and white horror movies. Now in my 40s I binge-listen to these episodes and they make me feel at home, make me miss America of the Past. Funnily enough, I ended up majoring in Film Studies and wrote my MA on horror movies. 🌙🔮⚰️
My brother and I used to lay in bed every week night and listen to this program, in Springfield Pennsylvania! I would use my AM and FM tape deck radio ,and cassette tape record the programs , so we could listen to the programs on Saturday and Sunday evenings ,because it would only air on the weeknights! So we had mystery theater to listen to on the weekends as well! This is good old fashion American radio programs 🇺🇸🇺🇸this was America hometown fun, it makes me proud to be a God fearing , Flag wavering Veteran of the United States Marines 🇺🇸 this is awesome clean American wholesome fun! Iam enjoying it all over again. Godbless America 🇺🇸 and Godbless the United States Marine Corps, and old fashion American radio programs! Great memories! Thanks for sharing and providing great American Radio Heritage 🇺🇸🇺🇸🪖🪖💪💪✝️✝️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😁😁
Semper Fi my brother is also a marine I grew up in Warren Ohio , in the 70s and 80s we listened to these every night also on wkbn , thank you for your service God bless.
The Dracula story was amazing, but the news that followed with references to Watergate, 2 packs of cigarettes for a $1, etc. were a wonderful added treat. I loved the complete combination. Thank you so very much. ♥️
Hi there my name is Everett and I'm visually impaired completely and is this how the book is word for word or did they take some Liberties and Dracula in the bronze stoker novel looks way different than he does in the original film as in the one portrayed by Bella Lugosi
The most faithful adaptation of dracula was the bbc television production with louis jourdan, i remember being spooked by it the night it aired on wttw public broadcasting chicago as a 12 year old around 1979
LOVE MERCEDES !!!! SHE DID THE SAME INFLECTIONS ON BEWITCHED AS CARLOTTA...I KEEP PLAYING HER VOICE CHANGE OVER AND OVER AND PRETEND IM HER.... BEAUTIFUL....GOOSEBUMPS ALL OVER! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO VERY MUCH..HUGS

I meant possed voice of the little girl in the EXORCIST.
I am forever bound to Mel Brooks' cinematic telling of this story...

Well done, though it only covers the first act of the novel.
Thank you! Love these. Will be listening to them all.
Big fan of the Dracula story,,, this was true enough to the original rendition . Thanks

The actor playing Count Dracula sort of sounds like the late Peter Lorre.
