when my dad passed away we played this at his funeral in the chapel and you should have seen everyone’s face and if my dad was alive he would have pissed himself with laughter BOY a oh Boy he had a wicked sense of humour RIP MY DAD
So great that the guys from Smokie embraced and even encouraged the profane sing-a-long version of this. They're obviously smart enough to know it gave this song new life!

I am, I loved Smokie back in the 70's, but when they brought out this version with Roy Chubby Brown. I loved it even more, I even bought the T-shirt and wore it to work. I would sing this on the top of my voice. Bloody still listening to it😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤

I heard this for the very first time last week (June ‘22) in a bar on a cruise ship. The band singing almost stopped as I was laughing so hard, the lead singer was being put off. Fair play to her, she name checked me afterwards. The people at the other tables couldn’t believe I’d never heard the chant before. A week later and I’m still giggling. Going to dig out the old Smokie vinyl now!
1st heard it sung at piano bar on Carnival ship Horizen by best piano bar singer ever. Then last weel on an party bus excursion (open air) in St Lucia they played it and all on bus were singing it this way! Ablast!
then have a listen to livin next door to alan by kevin bloody wilson. its about alan bond the bond family even asked him to perform it live at alans birthday party once.

Ahhhhhh, good times. This takes me back to being a kid and not being allowed to swear and mumbling the words under my breath 😆 Thanks for the memory, P xxx
I found out I have Covid and this morning my symptoms are really bad. But I found this " Classic" on my playlist. After listening to it, my symptoms are still with me, but I smiled alot more than before I found it!!! I love Smokie!!!!
I was at a Smokie tribute show last night. Needless to say, there were lots of 65+ year old goats belting out "Alice! Who the *&^% is Alice!!" This never gets old...unlike me and the rest of the old farts.....
When I lived in the Philippines, the Australian expats would go crazy singing along to this. I did t realize the lead sang Stumblin' In with Suzie Quattro. Awesome 😎
It was a fantastic duet with Suzy Quatro. Their voices blended well together. Both incredible artists in their own rights. Stumbling In was made for them
I heard this Song in an Irish pub in Dublin, absolutly everybody sang along, it was fantastic! They were shouting the part "Alice, who the f*ck is Alice". It was soo great and its such a fantastic memory!

I was at a bar this last weekend, and the band played this song! And the crowd responded appropriately with great enthusiasm. So awesome! Can't say I ever heard this song in a bar before. I also love the lyrics change on the 2nd chorus, they snuck that one in LOL.
Actually, it's a marketing trick. They use older music to target an older customer. Older music is definitely the best though! Even my 30- something children agree.

I'm only 24 so this song is a bit before my time. But I went on a cruise last spring. The average age of the cruise was about 75. As such, the music was all 70s music. Not a day went past where I didn't hear this song (and Tom Jones "Delilah"). Then in the karaoke someone chose this song. I was so shocked when the entire live lounge erupted into "ALICE! WHO THE FUCK IS ALICE!" and then I laughed my arse off and joined in for the remainder of the song! When I got back home, I searched the song and found only the Gompie version. For months I assumed that was the original. I didn't realise until a lot later that the Who the Fuck is Alice part was a later addition!
Do yourself a favour and listen to the song 'Living next door to Alan'. It is a piss-take of this song by Kevin Bloody Wilson, the boy from Kalgoorlie. Kevin wrote the lyrics about Alan Bond, who was the richest man in Western Australia in the 1980's.
also have a listen for a song by the angels- am i gonna se your face again. which of course gets added to with no way get fucked fuck off at the top of your voice. doc neason was a brisbane boy he actually recorded on night at a concert.
I took my seventy-something yo parents out for the evening to a bar with a live band - I asked the band to play this as a request 🤣for my mum and dad - and the band and audience didn't disappoint - the landlord frowned though ! How we laughed that night !
I made this my karaoke signature song. Everyone knew I was going to sing it sooner or later. They all loved it because they wanted to sing who the fuck is Alice. It didn't matter if I was in tune or way out of tune after too many pints. My final touch was to sing the last line as if I was breaking into tears. I miss those days when karaoke pubs were everywhere but now they are rarer than hens teeth. I even did it in Benidorm and got a standing ovation.

Hi I am 70 and I love this song
Worked with Smokie in the 70's in Jenks bar in Blackpool, they were great fun so no surprise they went along with this.
When ever I see this "Smokies song" it is the best of the best. And I play a d play it again. I'm happy that so many enjoy this "fun song".

Those days not them . Some of the music in this period was poor, only liked Punk .
@jimshelley8831 Each to our own. I was into the 60's and 70's. I loved all the glam-rock. I didn't understand punk then and I still don't
