Whether you stan Idle or not, you have to admit that their song Oh My God is a cultural reset. A girl-group doing that type of concept, just amazing. That was something else Edit - I have to say that if it was any other group, they would have disbanded by now. Soyeon wrote Latata because Cube was delaying their debut, so she took the rein in her hands. And she continues to do so. With the kind of allegation Soojin faced and Cubes complete interactiveness plus her leaving the group because of this, one year of hiatus with now the majority members being foreigner, any other group would have disbanded. But they came back with a full album with a song that's so explicit. Sk is a conservative society and them making these songs need courage. Soyeon is the next JYP
I'm a bg stan but besides Mamamoo, loona and dream catcher I also love G IDLE IS PEAK I love the members, their talent, their personality. One of the best/top girl groups in the industry. Like thei are so so good. I wish them all the best and keep in going up to the top.

“I think my voice is a kind of diamond!” You gotta love Yuqi’s confidence and her wit to throw in a reference to Soyeon’s line “red five diamonds in my bag”. I also love how she and the rest of Gidle members never forget to acknowledge and appreciate Soyeon’s vital contribution to each member’s growth and the whole team’s success. Knowing what Yuqi has gone through at such a young age, how her voice was damaged as a kid, how she was constantly teased at school for having a loud hoarse voice (imagine being injured and then mocked for your injury? that’s so heartbreaking), how people didn’t believe she could ever be a singer with that “weird” voice, how her parents at first did not support her moving overseas alone to try to be a Kpop idol… These girls all have a lot of baggage hiding behind their bright smiles. A lot of people were, and still are, looking down on them and waiting to see them fail. I think that’s also why the members always support each other and cheer each other up. Who else is gonna have faith in them, if they don’t have faith in themselves? It reminds me of that one line from Beyonce’s song Freedom: “I will keep on running, because a winner don’t quit on themselves”. Gidle keeps winning, because they have that winner’s mentality. Never stop. Never give up. That’s the spirit of Gidle. That’s what Girl Power is really about💪👏
