Ryan out here putting himself in the line of fire as Lizzy sings her heart out. Clearly affected by the emotional intensity of the moment. That's where good music comes from. And that's why this is (as always, from stories) so good.
Is Ryan the guitarist? And why do you have to be so dramatic lol? Just enjoy the music, no one's in anyone's line of fire, just a few musicians playing some music. O.o
(This could be a comment of any of his participations in Stories specially - but also applicable to Scary Pockets). It is amazing how RYAN is always so connected and engaged to the band in general and to the singer in particular. He is fed by the emotions of the song and the moment, and delivers genuine commitment to that (aside from the arrangements and productions). That makes a true ensemble musician!
Lizzy - you should do an album of songs like this - I think it would fly off the "shelves". Your voice fits so well with sparse arrangements like this. Lovely. Just lovely.
Discovered Lizzy in "As it was" (in this Stories series)... heard all that is hers out there and love it! Her voice is so tender! Hope to see much more of her with Stories!
This is absolutely wonderful; I keep coming back for more. So much feeling and beautiful voice accompanied by a beautifully open tuning and arrangement.
You know it'd be interesting if you guys could do a cover of one of Nick drakes songs, maybe off of his last album, but it'd be a great listen in this format and could be super interesting if it could be "funkified" either way great work with all of these videos. Have a nice week :D
@@lauwaters2429 I've been on a binge of Nick's music as of late if you're interested in a few other artist of a similar nature there is Sibylle Baier, Vashti Bunyan, Jackson C. Frank, and Chris brain, the last being far more recent than the others, you should take a listen.
I was wondering the same thing!! 100 % it's not regular tuning, as you see him play open strings sometimes and it still sounds like a chord. So my guess is Open G or Open D tuning. I'll have time tomorrow, gonna investigate and see if I can pick out the tuning/key
Beautiful! I love the tone out of that old guitar, rugged yet delicate. And then BOOM surprise bass. I dig this one a lot.
The lighting is out of this world. Well done to the cinematography team!
Beautiful, subtle, understated perfection.

every component was so perfect. the vocals of course, and the bright acoustic and moody bass.
The simplicity was so special - thanks!
You always do good music here. From time to time a song stands out to me as being something special. This is something special. Thank you
that guitar sounds makes the vibes way more ... ah just beautiful !
This is great but I cannot understate how much I want that harmony in the chorus. I have to sing it myself
Bravo bravo bravo. Oh man, thank you all so much.
This is gonna be on repeat for a while I can tell.

He's great! I've met him after a Scary Pockets concert in Amsterdam last May.
Gosh! That bass, what a twist! Wonderful cover.
Love the tone of Lizzy's voice. Molasses

Lovely 🥰👏🏻👏🏻
❤❤❤ GREAT 😮
Lizzy's voice is so intriguing. I'm off to see what else she can do with it.
This rendition makes me feel like I’m watching an outro of a tv show like Bones or CSI Miami. Feels so nostalgic!
Super

@@loganswiftable The voicings are too beautiful to ignore 😅 please tell me if you get the tuning!
Maybe DADGAD? Or a variation of it?
It's Open D tuning, but tuned down half a step to match the key(C#/Db).
BRING BACK DEAD WAX!!!
