    Is that the stand that sell at Canadian tire for it? About how high is the work height? I just unboxed mine that I bought a couple months ago and it works like a champ. Took no time at all to fill my wood box. Thanks for the vid.

    should try a 4 way splitter attachment on it. See if it has the guts to push the wood through. My 5 ton will not do it.

      I bought the 4 way on sale for mine. It works, but not well. The machine has the power but the side splitters aren't long enough and tend to leave stringers behind or just push to whole block off to the side

    • @heffptbo
      @heffptbo 4 года назад

      @@greggrant2068 if you put a small block behind it maybe then it will push through. Maybe these things just dont have the push then. To bad, i actually have cut a lot with the little 5 ton at the parents cottage

      Maybe I'm not explaining it right, but it's that the side cutters are too short. I might weld on some extensions at some point. The side knives are only about 3 inches long and won't reach far enough through. Some day when I dig the stick welder out I'll see if I can improve it, but the little machine is impressive for what it is

    • @heffptbo
      @heffptbo 4 года назад

      @@greggrant2068 gotcha. I actually cut mine off and re welded side plate cutters back on that are much longer. Problem on my end still was... it doesn't have enough power to push the 4 way split through. I am curious to see if yours would. If you end up trying that out, make a video again

    Those oversized logs need to be shaved off the ends ,not the middle . Be patient,and take your time cutting it down !!!
