Nita is the real deal, y’all. Humble, talented and really down to earth with guitar riffs to spare. Wish I could play half as good as her. Keep rocking, girl!
I have a 2011 Mahogany Hand Rubbed Oil Body H-S-H, 24 Fret S-470 and it balances in your hand perfectly... the same way as the Nita did with the JIVA10. Ibanez is a tremendous value in guitars.
They have one at the guitar center in Houston I played yesterday, sounds great, worth checking out, this particular guitar had some green greenish tones in the transition from black to blonde. Iam putting this guitar on my bucket list, loved it!
Christopher Falcon I’ve been way out of the loop with modern guitarists. Just checked out Plini after reading your comment, very awesome and some much needed inspiration for getting back into guitar
Shopping Guitaxes for my daughter who loves that her Poppa rolls with these icons of Rock-'n'-roll! I've played Guitaxes and Pianos for years; but getting some professional council from folks like Nita? Gotta listen up. That velvet middle pup is to die for! WOW!
A brilliant & gorgeous Guitar for a brilliant & gorgeous Player all the same; that whammy bar feat is worth it alone... Stay in tune & shining like a SUPERNOVA as always NITA. ✊🔥👏❤
She's making me want to get into Floyd rose now. The guitars I own the most of are Ibanez. They're always amazing instruments. Right out of the box right on the stage. BOOM!
Awesome! I played a friends of mine's unplugged and it was so easy to play and it made me want to really hear what it would sound like through one of my amps - I'm sure it would have rocked!
I mainly play a wonderful PRS Mira with warm pickups and a big chunky neck. I wanted a 2nd guitar that was tonally the opposite and would be good for solos. I went to GC set on buying a Fender Strat single coil. I played it and HATED IT! not the tone but they way it felt in my hands. I then played every good guitar there but kept avoiding the Jiva because (sorry) I had no idea Nita was. I finally picked it up and it felt like butter in my hands. It’s perfect. And the tone is great. It’s such an amazing guitar. I play mainly alt rock and this thing will fit perfectly. Thanks!
Just bought this at Guitar Center and it's great. Maybe I got lucky. I know every guitar is different. The neck and fretboard really are fast. My only other guitar is a Les Paul which I love to death. I wanted something with a floyd rose, 24 frets, and a flat fretboard and similar neck to my LP. Very impressed with it so far. Feels and plays similar to my LP which I was not expecting at all. Length seems a little shorter than another 24 fret guitar I played, which I am happy about. The other felt a little too long when reaching up near the stock.
I did that little trem bar trick from the beginning of the post with my FGM400QM once and snapped the bar right off in my hand. So much for that legendary Floyd Rose quality.
Actually, the tremolo is a Floyd Rose Original. I heard someone on a forum say he had an Ibanez trem but I bought mine new, in 1997, from an Ibanez dealer (like 60% of the store). Age probably is a factor since this happened about six years ago and I agree that there can be issues with any product run. Cheers.
great video, great guitarist and great guitar. thumbs up. I played the actual one that is displayed at rock walk at the Hollywood guitar center. They are the best Ibanez stock guitar pickups you can get.
I just got my JIVA and put it through it's paces. I believe I now can honestly provide a good solid review. It's a real steal for the money. I paid just over $1500 with tax, so it's on the high side of a mid-priced guitar. Very well made. I went over ever square millimeter of it from headstock to strap button and cannot find a flaw in the fit or finish. The pickups sound so good. The true test of an electric guitar is how it sounds unplugged though, and this rings out nice and loud and sustains well. That's only going to improve with age. The bridge is an engineering masterpiece. The real secret sauce is that single coil. Man alive, it's better than any Strat single coil I have heard. It's balanced no matter where you're at on the board. The center of gravity is balanced spot on, you can stand up with it hanging around your shoulders and it stays where it's at. Light and thin too. I have yet to do a string change, once I do I may come back and modify this comment if it has any problems, but if you haven't seen anything, it's still good to go! Now, if I could just get it signed by Nita...
Shake that guitar again by its trem bar... that was hot! Kidding aside, awesome guitar, awesome playing, great personality, I'm a fan of both guitar and player!
This is amazing. I was always a huge fan of S series and did not know any of this, and have never heard of Nita. I bought this guitar as soon as it came out and it has been my favorite AND most hated guitar ever since. JIVA 10 is extremely fragile and needs constant maintenance. You better have a tech to look after it! I guess it´s a combination of high demands and low quality manufacturing. When it is all tuned and checked, it is lovely. But give it a few months of light home use and it is already all out of whack.
changing the strings from factory to 08- 2 hours or 160€. BUT my luthier says if you stay with the same strings it should be holding. And change 2 at a time with others locked.
I bought an Ibanez RG yesterday for 49 dollars. Needs new strings and could benefit from new Pick ups. The neck is awesome and plays very well. For another 100 bucks it can play and sound like a $500 guitar.
I saw the band Jiva back in the 70’s . They were from the Los Angeles area and opened for Fleetwood Mac back then for some shows . I wonder if it’s the same band Nita referenced ?
I'm pretty impressed by the stability of that Edge Zero 2 since the trem itself has a pretty bad reputation (I've tried one with Zero system on a RG370 and it didn't stay in tune that well). Also, that guitar is manufactured in Indonesia if I remember correctly. She just surprises me about how 'mid-tier' her signature model seems to be and how incredibly it performs at the same time
Absolutely. And it goes to show that it’s all about the musician playing the instrument and the equipment they use to get the sound they want. I’ve always been an Ibanez guy. Just love the feel of them and truthfully, from cheap to expensive… I’ve never had a problem with one of them. I always tell people that if you want a starter guitar that’s going to sound great and something that you could use live or in the studio, get a mid range $500 Ibanez. It will last forever, they are life and they play fast, so they are easy to learn on. I’m actually going to pick one of these up. I love how thin the body is, the neck too. Great price for a high end, foreign made guitar. I’ve noticed a lot of Ibanez’s guitars are now made in Indonesia. Other than the custom stuff. Any case, can’t wait to get one of these. It seems the combo of this and the boss GT 1000 pedal she uses, without any amps or cabinets. She runs straight into the board and it sounds phenomenal. Some of the sounds coming out of that combination are mind boggling. Especially her, what she calls 12 string sound. Which I can see using on a ton of my slower originals. I was originally thinking about getting a 12 string to record some of them, but as good as the combo sounds that she uses… I think I’d be wasting my money. If I can find the video, I will link it for you. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/Zt3tfdxbzMI/видео.html

I just wish it had a monkey grip! Woe is me right? haha I'm so lucky to own this guitar, I'm totally not worthy of this work of art/science. I almost sound like a genuine guitar player because of this awesome guitar. It's like I'm a better person for owning it somehow. My Ibanez Jiva makes me feel authentic and smart. Thank you Nita! :))))
the first 10 seconds is literally every 12 year old on their squier strat
Except their bridge breaks and its completely out of tune.
She plays like a 12 year old
@@firefist8511
You answerd so right.
So brands won't do that because their bridge are crap. But this one is not.
aperently she's from the iron madien tribute band. what the fuck? is that a job? can people really do that for a living?
It "fits" her capabilities...

I love the fact that she's very specific on what she wants, and I absolutely respect that.

Love that guitar. The colour scheme is super smart and those inlays are fantastically original. And of course, Nita is awesome!

Best demo I've seen with this axe, Guitar Center! Awsum job!...Great collaboration with Ibanez, Nita!

From the current generation, Nita is one of the best guitarists!
as is Tina S and Laura L

The balance thing is a whole new thing! Really interesting to know about it!!

The 2 and 4 positions are not just split they are inner coils of the respected HB with the single coil true velvet
Cool guitar, the purple heart is beautiful, nice maple quilted top

Wow, she really nailed the sales pitch here. I'm not even an Ibanez fan and now I kinda want one.
The pickups are really good especially for that price range

Such a cool guitar. Wish there was a hardtail version too
okay, so is it just me who thought something different when the video started and she started shaking that guitar?
It really is an exquisite guitar.
So beautiful the blonde and the black... And Im not talking about the guitar...
Beautiful guitar!
probably the only Ibanez that I'd like to own
2:10 the reason might be that especially Mahogany is an exotic and expensive wood.
But I really like the guitar's design.
